I have a question concering my ASUS EAH 4850 (Ati) and Graphics settings in ACPI PAtcher. What shall I choose? Model: ATI Radeon (Generic) (because 4800 series are not listed? which framebuffer? Megalodon, Lamna, Triakes, Wormy, Hyporion, lago (by the way what does the names stand for?)

yes there is a serious bug with this. many of us experienced this and in the official thread there is a workaround:

 

rename your source file from dsdt.aml to myfile.aml. that will do.

I have GFX enabled through dsdt using ACPI Patcher.

 

There are rare times when my Display Color Profile (Manually calibrated) isn't loaded @ login. Should I be trying other settings in the Patcher? I didn't understand what HCL1, HCL2, HCL12 meant for the NVCap

 

 

I'm on a GA-P35-DS3L with a 9800 GT, I did have to have PEGP on. Any suggestions?

Hi, I am looking for a little bit of help. I am new to this DSDT and am having lots of troubles. I found lots of info and have an idea of what to do but I can't find anything on my specific problem. I am attaching my dsdt.dsl as well as my errors and a link to my BIOS.

My board in an Asus M3A79-T Deluxe with lates BIOS and an Amd Phenom II 940. I am not asking for a hand out or someone to do my dirty work but after weeks of searching I have no option but to ask for help. If any other information is needed let me know ASAP. I would really like to learn how to do this.

How to patch DSDT.aml for GA-EP35-DS3L (Bios F6)

 

Have been trying to use the patcher, but there are constant errors, when I try to use the fix option the DSDT.aml is created, but does not work.

 

I desperately need sound, in 10.6 ALC 888.

 

Your help will be greately appreciated.

I have audio, ether, gfx enabled through dsdt, I've now applied the usb, uhci/ehci fix to it, and working well

Thanks for your reply, can you kindly provide your DSDT.aml.

 

Current using F6 Bios, would appreciate if u could ass all the accessories of the motherboard into the DSDT.aml such as Sound, interent etc.

Is it possible to enable VT using DSDT?

Normally the mainboard+bios which must support your CPU type (has VT) does this.

I think DSDT cant help to do that low level hardware setup which BIOS does for cpu.

Hi Koalala,

 

I used this patcher to generate DSDT.aml for my GA-EP45-UD3L (which uses ICH10 and ALC888). I got DSDT.aml without any error (attached). I need to edit it manually for the SL CMOS fix and when dropped it on iaslMe I get a DSDT.dsl file (attached) with info that ACPI table terminates in the middle of data structure? Thus left no option but to use other DSDT.aml generator. as I need to get CMOS reset fixed in my DSDT.aml

 

I have selected following in compilation with resulted in 0 error and 0 warning:

 

Ethernet: PEX 5, Graphics: PCI 0, Audio: ALC888-0 HDEF.

 

Problem is still unable to get sound from it. I tried all options advised in the How_to_patch_DSDT_with_LAN_and_HDEF_functions_including_LegacyHDA. Would anyone please help me out in getting the sound out of this motherboard. I simply need 2 speaker sound and not interested in 5.1 or 7.1. Any way can I get it?

 

One suggestion for Koalala, if you could incorporate CMOS fix in this patcher, that would be a great feature to have.

i downloaded this tool but i'm a bit n00b about this kind of things

 

so i'll explain my problem.

 

i can't see a manual so i can't RTFM!!!11oneoneone

 

the question is:

i have a MSI P35 platinum with a specified bios version installed on the rom and configured.

 

whenever i try to boot Snow leopard installer i get in an infinite loop and the setup doesn't boot.

 

i think that this problem may be caused by ACPI and/or device mapping.

 

can anyone help me out in building a DSDT for my mobo?

couse i dunno what to select on the various tabs related to the network graphic and audio, couse i dunno where to get these informations

 

and also, since i don't have a working OSX installation, can i use macdrive to put the DSDT.aml file on my OSX setup HD?

Two questions:

 

1. Does anyone have a DSDT.aml and DSDT.dsl for a Dell Latitude D830 is with the attached lspci o/p (obtained using a linux live CD) and codec dump ?

 

2. Is there a version of the patcher for Linux ? I do not have any windows machine anywhere. A version of the patcher that can be used with a Linux live CD will really make it possible to have maximum flexibility with previously unused systems.
