As if it hadn't taken them long enough, Apple finally is slowly bringing 64-bit Windows support over to Boot Camp, starting with the Mac Pros. The new Win64 Boot camp support currently is only on the restore disks that come with the Mac Pros that were just announced a few weeks ago. The 64-bit Windows drivers currently only support Vista x64, but could possibly bring support for WinXP x64 in future updates. Will these x64 drivers be coming to all 64-bit capable Macs in 10.5.2? Only time will tell.
That's right, you heard it. Not China, Korea, or even Japan. Thailand. The carrier "Advanced Info Service" has told press that they are in talks with Apple over revenue sharing, minutes, and other stuff that carriers need to worry about. A spokesperson specifically said that "Apple needs a local operator to promote iPhone, " which is true, considering that talks with China Mobile were just shut down, primarily because of money disputes. It appears that Apple might have to settle with a smaller share of pie if they want to promote the iPhone.

After a long weekend with no news, I'd like to say Happy Martin Luther King day, for those who celebrate it.
Maybe the version that Gear Live had was the final version. It would seem that the 1.1.3 update is far less stable than previous versions. I got this list from TUAW, but I have one annoying problem that I'm going to add:
-Error message during/after install of iTunes 7.6 and firmware 1.1.3
-Loss of sound output from the iPhone's built-in speakers
-Bluetooth devices that worked with 1.1.2 no longer work
-Mail problems
-Springboard crashes when dragging items in/out of dock
That last one is really annoying. Other than the last one I haven't had any of the reported problems that people have been reporting. Have you had any of these?
UPDATE: It appears that for some reason, bricked iPhone have been restored to a fully functional iPhone after the update. Link
For a while now, Skitch has been on a private and invite only. But now, the Skitch team has released it to a public beta. I don't know why it was in a private beta because it was perfectly stable, but now everyone can enjoy it. For those who don't know, Skitch is an extremely well written application that makes sharing files over the internet extremely easy. It also features some simple editing, so that your pictures will always be ready.
Yep, that's right - it's back (and viagra free too!).
With the release of Apple's major 10.5.2 update, we figured the wiki should stand out as the central repository for all things OSx86. A 10.5.2 HCL template will be up and running come the release after Steve's keynote - making it the longest standing resource for up-to-date and accurate OSx86 information. Ever since the first leaks of 10.4.1 back in June '05 the wiki was the launch pad that started it all. If you haven't already, you will need to sign up and register yourself an account so you can start submitting your hardware profiles.
This wouldn't have happened had it not been for our fantastic Wiki Team! They've managed to pull together and transform the wiki from being spam-infested to the brilliant resource that it currently is. Congratulations go to skyhighmac, ~pcwiz, A.I.Ghost, and FragileMac for achieving this in such a short period of time!
Without further ado, I present to you the OSx86 Project Wiki.
Well, his keynote starts in a few hours, and I'm sure everyone is filled with anticipation. I'll be watching a live stream of the keynote, and I'll try to edit this post when something important happens. The only problem is that I will be in school, so it might not be updated as fast as it could be (thanks, small form-factor iPhone). So if any other staff members see anything that I missed, feel free to add it here! The keynote is supposed to begin at 9:00 PST, which is UTC-8.
I will be editing this original post.

More rumors of the MacBook Air are floating around, so here is what they say. According to Wired, the new laptop is supposed to be really thin, and shaped like a teardrop. Which means it is thicker at the top and thinner at the bottom, near the keyboard. The new laptop is supposed to use Apple's new scheme with aluminum & glass; silver on black. The new MacBook is expected to be without a CD/DVD drive, and possibly use solid-state storage. Think it's real? Tell us here.
Have you ever received an email from your friends with the title "LOL!!1" and a link to a YouTube video while your on your iPhone or iPod touch? I know I have. When I tap the link, I hope for something to be different, something to change...but nothing ever does. I get the plugin error. It's taunting me, telling me exactly what's wrong. But there's no way to fix this...until now. All you have to do is put a Java thing in your bookmarks, and when you are on said page, click tap it. Then the plugin error will turn into an image with a link to the YouTube application on the iPhone, allowing you to finally get jokes.
When Adium recently released their statistics about who uses their software, some eagle-eyed people noticed something strange. Down, near the bottom, under "Model" there was one user who was using a "MacBookAir." Hmm... This could be a person that edited their model name, or it could be real. Don't know why someone with an experimental laptop that isn't released to the public would be using Adium though...maybe to tell his friends. The recently spotted banners at Macworld, "There's something in the air," would basically prove the name to be true. What do you think it is, or does it even exist? Tell us in this thread.
First it was NES, then GameBoy, then PSX, now Transport Tycoon Deluxe. It seems that more and more games are being ported to the iPhone/iPod touch. This is the first multiplayer internet game that has been ported. But you do need a copy of the PC version of Transport Tycoon Deluxe. I'm sure you can find a copy of these files floating around the interwebs, but I can't post them here. You need to install OpenTTD from Installer, put a few files from the TTD disk into a folder on the iPhone...and BAM. You're playing Transport Tycoon Deluxe on your iPhone. The list of files and more sceenshots can be found at the "Full Story" link. He also said that he is working on a SimCity port for the iPhone.
