We've received reports that the rather creative OSx86 hacking community has created another release, this time to update existing 10.4.1 installations to many of the new features introduced in 10.4.3. Sources indicate that the new security features implemented in 10.4.3 have prevented a full release and that this update is in lieu of that release.

Check out the front page for the full story.

Don't let the zealots hear you! They like thier term... pinwheel.

I seriously got chewed out for five minutes mone time by some crazy mac lady about that.

uhm it's just a lame way to cover the bsd booting and in our case is bad because people would think is booting and won't see where is hanging and what's the prob.

that's interesting, so it boots on a similar hardware and it hangs where it would hang without the tpm crack.

did you try with the cracked oahd from 10.4.1 ?

if that's true this is a good new , the kernel isn't trying to talk with the tpm chip

If you can explain to me how to use the cracked oahd form 10.4.1 I could try ! I can see a lot of thing if I boot with -v but I don't understand...

If I have no keyboard pluged, it always reboot like DeathChill said.

Thanks, I'm trying it... !

I'm copying the DVD on a partition, and I will replace the oah750 and the oah750d with the files from Maxxuss patch antitpm 0.5 ...

I made 2 partitions on my hd and made them both OSx86 installations. When I tried to install the OSInstall.pkg the installer quit when i got to the essentials. But I was able to install each pkg onto the other part.(base, essentials, additional essentials, and bsd.pkg). The essentials.pkg did hang at the very end when running the installer script, however.

I named the other partition "XP" but its os x.

I then chose the other the other OS X partition as the startup disc in utilities and it I get the constant reboot immediately when loading Darwin.

Since it is rebooting right when "Loading Darwin" appears on the screen, is it mach_kernel that is causing the reboot?

Try booting it in VMWare and see if it automatically reboots.

Also, is your keyboard a USB keyboard or?

Yes it's an Apple USB keyboard.

Yes it's an Apple USB keyboard.

Tried booting with a USB keyboard (not an Apple one as the Apple one doesn't seem to fit into the USB slot properly o.o) and it didn't change anything.

Have you tried booting in VMWare?

EDIT:

It appears people with the D915GUXL board can boot it up to the blue screen, so it's obviously doing a simple check of the motherboard, now we just need to find out where!

does anybody know how to fix the flashplayer issue? updated to 10.4.3 everything runs fine, except flash...displays only empty space (with safari in native intel mode).

The issue with Safari and Flash has been fixed without using rosetta

After a reinstall from the deadmoo image and updating again all is good with .Mac as well...

I have the 6GB at the start of the drive then the system disk used the rest of the drive, this way i always have a repair disk and i use apple's backup program for my personal stuff... the perfect setup...

I can even do the disk repairs by booting into the other partition... Restores are cake... everything is done with the diskutil...

might even be "better" then having only a dvd for boot...

Good find... but the still doesn't answer the question why not everyone can use safari 2.0.2 build 417.1 and have to step back an inch to 416.12.

No Clue! but look at this way- if apple comes out with a newer version of Safari [beyond 417.1] at least we know now what to do to upgrade :P

I'm updating other system files using the update posted by apple- So Far So GOOD!

that safari fix doesn't seem to work for me... it keeps crashing on any flash site with the other binary.

too bad its just a ppc binary

It's a PPC Binary that is running on my system- Don't ask me how but it works and 2advanced.com never looked or loaded better than now ...

-Are you running SSE3 or SSE2 ... This is aimed at users using SSE3

-Also, please check to verify the version of Safari- Should be 2.0.2 [416.12]

-Reset Safari

-Reinstall the flash plugin

Please post back results- .... I could post screenshots if you'd like

I disagree on the aimed at SSE3 comment.

It MAY be aimed at SSE3...

But it works flawlessly on my SSE2 A64 2800+

Flash works, Quicktime works, and iTunes works. None of them crash anymore.

You're probably right ... I'm running SSE3 - never actually tested that on SSE2

Have you applied my hack?
