    No regrets here ... was worth the substantial investment
  3. Memory temperature getting hot

    I had the same issue until I got max_flow The installation was easy and those darn high temperatures are back to 45~50C

No probs- I surely do hope your saga ends here =) If my memory serves me right, all macs, excluding the old models, come with DVI ports and not analog- that could be the reason why you haven't been able to get your analog monitor to wake from sleep.... Sadly, my viewsonic monitors suffer from a DVI-D EDID problem - manufacturing defect, which lead me to believe now more than ever that PnP EDID is the culprit behind all this. btw, I've witnessed the same issue on vista too.

  7. running s3 with HPET enabled for 64bit Platform. I just tried switching back to DVI-D and my monitor won't wake but the system did. What's funny is that I'm actually running faster on DVI-A than DVI-D ... 163MHz compared to 132MHz Forgot to mention:: running in extended mode- dual mons and both lcds are detected and configured automatically,,,
  8. 10.4.9 update from software update

    I would love to, but no AMD systems here- I think you should be fine if you had SSE3, then again, I could be wrong.
  9. Guys, Sleep/wake for both system and monitor work fine here both under 10.4.8 and 10.4.9 ... All I had to do, with trial and error, was to use a DVI-A cable instead of a DVI-D cable and force the LCD panels to use DVI-A by setting the option to manual select and BAM- SLEEP works!!! I'm guessing it has something to do with PnP EDID data being read properly. Using Neopheus's installer, without any patching, with 10.4.6 up'd to 10.4.8 and finally 10.4.9 using Paulicat's method. Check my signature for system specs =) I hope this helps.
  10. 10.4.9 update from software update

    Works perfectly without any reported issues or incompatibilities I only replaced mach_kernel with semthex's kernel, AppleSMBIOS.kext, system.kext, IOATAFamily.kext from 10.4.8 and nothing else- Audio, Video, Networking etc all working!!! A noticeable speed increase in opening menu, folders, accessing dmgs/drives/networks, running/refreshing server admin is more responsive and much faster, the interface is much snappier, dock magnification isn't hanging anymore- this machine is literally flying... back to crunching- BOINC! Cheers =)

Hey Guys, Just wanted to let you know that I got sleep to work with my (2) vp2130b 21.3 Viewsonic DVI monitors including QE/CE/OGL/Dual-DVI running on Sapphire X1950XTX 512MB using DVI-A and not DVI-D =) This card is amazing!!! Worked out of the box with jaccool's installer... One thing though is the darn fan noise!! Arghhh but I'm a happy camper =) Hope this helps!

  14. How many using MacOS as their main OS ?

    I am using Vista Ultimate x64 as my main OS / Hackintosh as my second OS for now ... I'm waiting on apple to release their newest macbooks/pros with intel's latest chipset and proc santa rosa/merom for mobile computing - can't wait!!!!
