celosdedma Posted April 4, 2008 Share Posted April 4, 2008 i'll be willing to help the test i have 2 machines available. 1st machine: Intel Pentium 4 3.2Ghz HT LGA 775 Gigabyte GA-945GZM-S2 board 1GB DDR2 533 80GB Samsung SATA HDD ps2 keyboard and mouse 2nd machine: Intel Pentium 4 2.66Ghz Socket 478 (Non-HT) ECS PF1 865I socket 478 board ATI Radeon 9600 Pro AGP 8x Dlink PCI Lan Card (onboard lan is busted) Seagate 120GB IDE HDD & 80GB IDE HDD I then have an external USB dvd drive and an IDE dvd drive i can switch around for the test. Installed everything but Natit on EFI-GUID Only thing not working is QE and sound. Swedish language was messed up in Finder. So I installed swedish language pack with Pacifist from Original Leopard DVD and did replace, not uppdate the content. After that Finder didn't work at all and I got stucked on reboot. I reinstalled and then tried to make a complete update from Apple (not language) and after reboot got stucked again. With minor fixes this installation will work great. Here is my computer spec: HP Pvilion d1080.se Mobo: ASUSTeK Computer Chipset Intel Modell 82915G/GV/GL/P/PL/GL/910GE/GL Grantsdale Host Bridge/DRAM Controller South Bridge 82801FB/FR (ICH6/ICH6R) LPC Interface Bridge SMBus Intel Corporation 82801FB (ICH6) SMBus Controller CPU Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.40GHz Prescott 0.09µ Network cards: Realtek RTL8139 1394 Firewire 400 Mbps (not tested but probably working) 2x 512 MByte SDRAM DDR PC3200 (200 MHz) Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS PCI GeForce 6800 series, device ID 0x00f910de rev. a2 on PCIex16 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

baranfanfa Posted April 6, 2008 Share Posted April 6, 2008 Be sure to address that bug that causes the pc to reboot when the installer is loading. It's not cpu related, because there's no definate cpu type/model that has this problem (it occurs on p4 in my case). I read it happen on dualcore models too. I've tried kalyway's (51) and leo4all (52) releases. Both reboot when installer is loading. On the other hand iAtkos release doesn't have this problem, but I get random freezes after using it for some time (pretty nasty, although the music continues to play after this ). ufo_all Posted April 10, 2008 Share Posted April 10, 2008 I've tried jas 10.5.2 never worked on my core 2 duo E4400 with 2g memory and ATi radeon HD 2400. But with kalyway 10.5.1 ad leo4all works fine on my system. so i give 5 starts to leo4all and 3 starts to kalyway. So far every tester that has downloaded the test install has hit and run on the torrent and also the testers are not posting back info about the install, just saying it worked and then they are gone. So I will need to decide what I am going to do. tho I can not test under these conditions. BETA TESTING IS NOT A CHANCE TO GET A WORKNG INSTALLATION OF 10.5.2 FOR YOURSELF.IT IS TO HELP GET A WORKING INSTALLATION READY FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC! So until I have some reports from the testers I already set up with the install dvd, I will not be taking any more request to join the group. A beta version is not a guarantee that it can run on your machine, therefore, please calm down. We working on it, when it finished final version, will be avaiable.
