sharpy
eddie can you say me what kext did you package install so i can remove/replace them ? thx
eddie11c
Its just the Geforce/NVDA kexts. Remove them and all will be good again. I will investigate it more later to see what the problem is.
WinLinMac01
Tried the NVIDIA Universal Installer from the OSX86 Wikidot, but same result occurred. I still don't have QE enabled. (it says not supported) What can be problem then? Is it really your script or the O/S itself? Its just the Geforce/NVDA kexts. Remove them and all will be good again. I will investigate it more later to see what the problem is.

eddie11c
Ok made a few minor changes, might of added support for SB600. will have to wait and see if it works. Made a minor change to a couple files. Those with the ISO already can just add the files manually replacing the old ones from within Leopard. Will post back later if all is working with my changes. WinLinMac01
Is this including the NVIDIA Kext and NVinject I was talking about? Those with the ISO already can just add the files manually replacing the old ones from within Leopard. Will post back later if all is working with my changes.Same problem I am seeing too. This was the fourth time I reinstalled today, the Universal Release. Will just have to wait and see what eddie11c says. Below is the NVInject confirming that it has been installed:Graphics by NVIDIA: Chipset Model: Graphics by NVIDIA Type: Display Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x8 VRAM (Total): 128 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Device ID: 0x0140 Revision ID: 0x00a2 ROM Revision: NVinject 0.2.0 Displays:SyncMaster: Resolution: 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz Depth: 32-bit Color Core Image: Software Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Not SupportedDisplay Connector: Status: No display connectedOddly, there is no Quartz Extreme (has something to do with the drivers, because it worked in all of Zephyroth's Releases). The same thing is happening to the Intel system as well. no kext loaded with only nvinject now rebooting with ur driversedit:lol now it doesn't work.. it freezes at AppleNforceATA: found 0 units. damn

As the author mentioned its a problem with his code that handles spaces in volume names (make sure you put quotes around everything ). Since the volume is force unmounted some systems are going to crash using this method (since virtual memory is in use). eddie11c contact me via a PM if you want to fix your boot code to not have these problems. ADoNuT333
Eddie11c, if you update the ftp server with the new rar files, will I be able to just replace a few of the rar's I already downloaded with the new ones or will I just have to redownload the entire thing? And what is the 862KB "Leo4All.part32.rar"? Thanks for all your great work.
eddie11c
I will make a patch for the changes if all goes well. Should know here pretty soon. You need to redownload that file as all but part 37 are 98M
WinLinMac01
Aren't you going to release a patch with the separate files so that instead of reinstalling the entire O/S we can simply install or replace the older files? Thanks in advance, =) I will make a patch for the changes if all goes well. Should know here pretty soon. ADoNuT333
Well no the rar i downloaded was correct (I'm burning the iso as I type this) but I found 2 versions of the 'part32'. One was in the Leo4all folder and one was outside of it. The one inside the folder is the same size as the rest but the one on the outside is 862KB. I wasn't sure if some how you accidentally partially uploaded it or something.
WinLinMac01
Extract the files that are ONLY included in the folder. That spare one you are referring about is probably partially uploaded scrap. Ignore that. @eddie11c, will there be a separate installer for your patch? Or will I have to reburn a new .iso () Well no the rar i downloaded was correct (I'm burning the iso as I type this) but I found 2 versions of the 'part32'. eddie11c
I will likely patch it, if yours is working fine you won't need to burn another copy if you don't want. I have a new bootloader script thanks to Dense that should hopefully fix some issues people are having. I am also trying to get the AppleVIAATA kext in so Donut can try. I have added ACPIPS2Nub for laptops, but i read somewhere you have to disable USB in the BIOS for it to work.

GERGÖ
OK! On my C2D comp. everything works fine! It installed 22 min. What tests should I do now? Boot up time is 40s with AHCI boot rom.
Molajn
I installed Leo4All perfectly but when I reboot and wanna start leopard I get a blinking dot and after about 20s a message saying "b0 error". I even tried to boot from cd in single user mode and type the "fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0...." thing. But there seems theres no bootloader. Doesnt Leo4All install a bootloader automaticlly? I used the MBR option. Help please?

eddie11c
Moljan I know that B0 error is pretty common, the system did not unmount cleanly when trying to install the bootloader. I have a new script to do this in a different way that I am testing. It should hopefully fix alot of problems if I can get it working. Will post back later once its working properly. I will have to either make a patch or upload a new ISO for you all to try out(whichever is smaller).
WinLinMac01
My boot up time is on average, 20 seconds for eddie11c's beta release. OK!On my C2D comp. everything works fine! It installed 22 min. What tests should I do now? Boot up time is 40s with AHCI boot rom.Which architecture are you using AMD or Intel? Also are you using MBR or GUID? If you did set up your partition as GUID, then that can be the likely culprit. eddie11c has to make a couple of changes to the script, then everything should work. Your solution is also available to (AMD users) at http://osx86.wikidot.com/how-to-s#toc5If you don't want to visit that link, just follow the directions below instead- There's an issue with the script that installs the GUID bootloader. Easy to fix : 1 - Boot with the DVD. 2 - Press F8, then type "-s" 3- type "cd /usr/standalone/i386" 4 - type "dd if=./guid/boot1h of=/dev/rdiskXsY bs=512 count=1 (X is the disk number and Y is the partition number on which you installed Leo) 5 - type "dd if=./guid/boot0 of=/dev/diskX bs=400 count=1 6 - type "./startupfiletool -v /dev/diskXsY ./boot_v8" GUID bootloader must be now installed correctly. Hope this helps.----Eddie11c, was there any progress to enable QE on NVIDIA Cards? Or will fixing the NVIDIA.pkg (scripts) will resolve that problem? ADoNuT333
@WinLinMac--GERGO is using an Intel Core 2 Duo (aka, C2D). Hey eddie could you let me know if you finish your work on updating the iso. Might you finish today or some time later? No rush I was just wondering if you are having any difficulties. Thanks.
