However, being succinct would have saved you the error of the processor having 1MB of L1 cache... while it is actually 1MB of L2. Several hours ago, my software update will report No software update available. but now there is no such message dialog. click preference of software update, and it says Connection failed. maybe I click too many times, and S/U goes crazy... Leo's version of Mail works absolutely fine for me and many other's, and I am sure we aren't doing any super secret method to get it to work. And yes, I am immature and rude. Although I'm sure most people on this forum would have tried this, this might be a solution for those less computer literate people on other forums. Hi Dekela Very simple. Select the undesired update(s), go to the Update menu and then simply select Ignore Update. If you ever need to you can always reset it later if you change your mind. Keep in mind that in small communities and rural areas there's no profit for companies to be installing $500,000 in internet hardware for just a 1000 people. In a recent survey a majority of dial-up users said they weren't even interested in getting, or even using anything else, and that they had zero interest in upgrading to broadband. She is in a rural area and there are no options for highspeed, other than a direct line which would be a fortune. Not even satellite is available. About one kilometer West of her house highspeed is available though. It is extremely frustrating when I visit and decide to fix her computer or check email. 2008 does not necessarily mean highspeed is everywhere. The only big question I suppose I have is what this will mean for us running Leo with a patched kernel--is it safe to assume that I, for example, can't just download the update straight from Apple?
