  1. MacPro 2009

You know, I am very satisfied with the current performance. I added 16GB of RAM, so that help as well [emoji6] Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  2. MacPro 2009

You know that's the first thing I did ... I installed Sierra OS without any issue. I don't want to change the processor because I was reading that it is not easy at all and can damage the motherboard. I don't have any issue with performance. The only thing that can speed up things is upgrading to a SSD hard drive. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  3. MacPro 2009

Thanks, I will wait until these SSD drives are more cheaper and accessible. [emoji6] Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk
  4. MacPro 2009

Long time I have not checked InsanelyMac since 2012... I bought a few months ago a MacPro 2009 and it just amazing the performance that you get with 16GB of RAM. It cost $469 dollars plus I upgrade the memory and the graphics... I invested almost $200 for a 2GB Radeon 7870 card. I just want to share my experience as the owner of a great Mac machine.
  5. Apple Care Sucks

Pardon my ignorance, but where I hear that most of the AppleCare failure happens its overseas, in other countries. I have never ever have any issues with Applecare when I used them couple times.
  6. Thanks a lot Mitch, your help as been wonderful! appreciate it.

  12. I succesfully installed SL in my P35 DS3L machine with empire efi, but now does not boot. I have this error: NO DSDT found using 0 as id value efi_inject_get_devprop_string NULL trying stringdata Loaded HFS+ file [Extra/smbios.plist] 416 bytesfrom 42521fo Patched DMI table. NO DSDT replacement found. Leaving ACPI dara as is. Starting Darwin x86 Press a key to continue.... As you know I am not an expert in how to fix this, I probably need chameleon or PC_EFI but how I can install this into the HD without able to boot to SL?
  13. Well what happens it's that rebel efi and empire efi (lastest version) tried to install SL but it stop after a minute and just stay there. The boot-132 that I created does not even recognized the retail DVD disk. I will try my last attempt with another type of bootable cd format and see it works. I will keep you informed.
  14. Hello guys, I bought a new 10.6.3 Retail DVD from the Apple Store and I tried all types of bootable cd's that are out there, including rebeil EFI and Empire EFI. I also created my own 132-boot CD and nothing work. Does Apple did something to block bootable cd's on the PC with the new 10.6.3 retail DVD?
  15. Why not just try and see if work?
