@Cyberdevs my friend,

I downloaded your EFI, copy/paste it to my Efi partition, booted and installation finished. That was an update from Sonoma.

After that I tried fresh install and it worked fine.

I haven't changed a single thing in your EFI and it worked like a charm. We do have very similar build so I guess that's why?

After that I adjusted some quirks inside my .plist and I was able to boot to Tahoe with my EFI. With some hiccups which I hope I can fix by myself.

I lost Ethernet, will have to check what I did wrong.

Later in the will try to do a fresh install with my own EFI to see if I still get KP's.

Information from HackintoshParadise Discord. USB Maps require some changes for Tahoe.

Thanks for the tip and especially thanks to  @CorpNewt

Just finished rebuilding the mapping kext with

" USBMap-tahoe-test "

and everything works as before ... boot and functioning usb ports on Tahoe

@Irish_Man

Hey buddy, how are you? I'm glad it worked fine on your rig. My mainboard has a 10Gps Aquantia AQC113 Ethernet which is working fine in Tahoe as well and your mainboard has an Intel i225V 2.5Gbps.

I have to use an SSDT for ethernet along with SSDT-DTPG.aml with ForceAquantiaEthernet quirk but it's gonna be different on your rig you might need to use DMAR table with removed reserved regions but if you already have ethernet working on Sonoma you might just need to wait for other kexts to be updated for Tahoe,

Sadly I'm not familiar with your rig but I'm sure some of our steamed colleagues and friends might have the same mainboard as you which can shed some light on the issue.

I believe @MaLd0n posted some topics using the same mainboard but I'm not sure.

SMBIOS: The MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)

macOS Tahoe incremental update has been completed successfully.

The process progressed as follows;

1. EFI working with macOS 15.5 has been updated with the appropriate Opencore files. https://github.com/acidanthera/OpenCorePkg/actions/runs/15582120450

2. OCLP Revert Patch. Config file has been edited.

    a. The SSDT-UIAC.aml file was compiled and processed into the config file.

    b. Bluetoolfixup kext disabled

    c. VoodooI2C kexts have been disabled. (Because the system is locked)

4. The system has been restarted.

5. System updated with Asus USB-AC53 Nano Wireless Network Adapter.

6. Bluetoolfixup kext has been enabled in the config file.

System problems;

1. Wifi could not be activated because OCLP operation could not be performed. Bluetooth is working.

2. Asus USB-AC53 Nano Wireless Network Adapter could not be run. RtWlanU1827 and RtWlanU kexts cannot be uploaded to the system. I used lilubetaall. @chris1111

Hi fast runners,

I tried the incremental update from Sequoia 15.5 to Tahoe, after replacing kexts with the latest one , it downloaded , restarted and booted from Macos Installer partition but I am stuck at password screen. It does not accept my password. I tried to reset the pw in recovery mode but nothing changed.

Any succession is welcomed. I have two Sequoia installations in two different SSD disks. I tried this on my test disk

It's FileVault. It's enabled during install. You can disable it via Recovery, https://www.ichi.co.uk/blog/removing-file-vault-from-internet-recovery-console

I have run into a problem with my internal webcam.  It is a USB webcam and I believe I have mapped all of my USB ports property in my SSDT-UIAC.aml file.  I am wondering if Apple has stopped providing a compatible driver for my crappy webcam.  It's so awful that I have to use an external USB webcam for all videoconferencing.  However, this is about getting everything on my laptop to work properly whether I need to use it or not.  Has anyone else with a really crappy webcam found that their USB ports are working fine but their crappy webcam is not?  Once upon a time, I believe that @Slice had created an iCam kext that could be modified for generic webcam use.  Might that work?  I don't even know if it is a 64-bit kext.

@chris1111 I believe that could be, because that base is HD 620 (Kaby Lake), and works fine on Comet Lake-U UHD 620.

Basic Framebuffer ID <00001B59> Works on Kaby-Lake and for base install on Comet-Lake-U 10ª Gen

Advanced Frambuffer ID <00009B3E>

Basic Frambuffer for Comet-Lake-U (only) created by @MaLd0n :)

This forced New-UI is not "Aero", but "Glassy Aqua". The blue Desktop Background reminds us to the "Aqua Redux" back to OS X Tiger era #LoL 😁

Nice :) Golden Era! I still use many until today!!

I have tried. You can't. Just from inside. Boot with IGPU or another GPU to have light. If you can enable ssh, from another machine.

To be sure it works, you need to replace:

AMD10000Controller.kext AMDRadeonX4000.kext

AMD9500Controller.kext AMDRadeonX4000GLDriver.bundle

AMDFramebuffer.kext AMDRadeonX4000HWServices.kext

AMDMTLBronzeDriver.bundle AMDShared.bundle

AMDRadeonVADriver2.bundle AMDSupport.kext

Thanks for your instruction.

I can boot with IGPU at TaHoe.

Can you explain in details how to do it step by step ?

Do you mean replaced these of 16.0 with those from macOS 15.5 ?

I need your help to boot TaHoe in my other Hackintoshs with RX-560/570/580 dGPUs.

I've taken the time to take a closer look at macOS Tahoe.
The window icons are absolutely ugly! Is there any way to change that?
In general, the whole "Liquid Glass" thing is a complete mess.

Im already uninstaller from M4 because I need focus on my job, and telletubies is awesome, but my kids already in the teenager :XD 😆

Did you manage to install it? Can I take a look at your EFI? I want to compare it with my own

Beta is a starter project, so in Hackintosh need fixes and patchers. Completely change my EFI for "run" this Tahoe, so other way, on my MM M4 Pro so fast that I unbelieved. I advise get wise and keep on Sequoia for while. Let coders prepare field and kexts.

Arrrrrggggg I moved my RX6800Xt and SSD to the Asus Z790 machine, created a new EFI and still cannot get this thing going.  It comes to this stage and reboots constantly, no further progress. Who knows what it means on this image?

You using SSD or NVME?, because:

IONVMeBlockStorageDevice::PowerDownHandler suggest problems with NVMe SSD communication.

APFS Volume Errors: Messages about APFS volumes not unmounting properly indicate filesystem issues.

I guess you using NVMeFix.kext?

The weirdest thing is that the logs show macOS attempting to shut down during installation, which shouldn't normally happen.

I'm far from someone who can read the logs but some parts I can understand :)

Yes, I am using NVME and the nvme.kext. This is what was happening when I was trying an upgrade method. Busy creating a bootable usb now to try. Fingers crossed.

Captains Log, day 3. I don't know how long I can keep the brain cells from mutiny.

There is no sight of the promised land called Tahoe, do I keep searching or turn back to the safe shores of Sequoia??!!

At the moment we are battling against the rough swells in the sea of 'KextLog: Loading FileSet K (s)' without making headway.

Are we doomed to stay on this futile search in this final Intel universe without stepping onto the shore of Tahoe as others have??!! :worried_anim:

I just love that sense of humour mate. I don't know how you are keeping calm with this Tahoe. I almost threw my MacBook out the door today. Ran away from work at 10am to come home and try to get this going. It's now 18h48pm so been at it almost 8 hours straight and making no head way.
