That is it, hate to admit defeat but I think I have exhausted every avenue I could think of to install Tahoe and get a result.

I just cannot get past 'KextLog: Loading FileSet KC (s)', no matter what I change or alter in the config.plist.

Yes I am cleaning the NvRAM after each change but to no avail.

I am destined to either stop at Sequoia, wait for the next Update which I feel will bring no relief to my pain or just open my purse strings and throw some money at the Apple Store.

I have done more boot ups and re-boots than a Windows Vista machine, at least there was a valid excuse for that debacle.

This Tahoe specimen I am not too sure about on my machine.

I don't know if anyone here goes fishing in the sea. I do or at least I did. Well it happens that fishes sometimes make fun of you (I'm sure they laugh) . It seems you have caught them and you get any kind of garbage instead. You get exited pulling the fishing line but ending with people around you hiding their giggling. But you don't give up till it's too late and you must go home. Now after countless attempts it's time to go home .. for now.. and start again to avoid destroying your hackintosh giggling. At least we must not see wife's face when she says " Oh my God how many fishes you got! I must invite our neighbours for dinner."

Bro if this post was meant for me, yes I did.

Are you installing with Rx580? I kept getting errors with Rx590. I had to disconnect it for installation. There was no problem with the internal graphics HD630.

Then you don't have your USB's mapped properly. Do that first then extract the SSDT

I am in the same boat as you buddy. No matter what I have tried, not working. I am going to try on the Z790 machine this weekend and install it there and transplant the SSD. This is the only way I can remain SANE 🤪

Hi Badruzeus, would you please share your EFI folder. Thank you in advance.

Using EFI Sequoia from this repo should work. For macOS 26, I change SMBios version with MBP16,2. Some kexts need to be updated as well (especially Lilu, VirtualSMC, WhateverGreen). But I still have USB 3.x Ports issue, at least on this Beta.

Yes, I'm like you, I'll stop there because I also think I've exhausted all my resources.

Ok newly built USB Installer and this is the result!!!!

What more can this frustrated man do to overcome this.? :wallbash:

EFI.zip 5.04 MB · 27 downloads IMG_1396.HEIC 3.1 MB · 35 downloads

Everyone is reporting that USB needs to be redone with an SSDT-UIAC.aml file.  I also needed to use an SSDT-XHC.aml file. Why you would try to use a USB installer given that information perplexes me.  What I did was add a separate OC-Tahoe folder to my EFI and use my UEFI interface to select the OpenCore.efi in the OC-Tahoe folder. I also use the boot file selector that is packaged with Clover -- it is a BOOT.efi file that is placed in the BOOT folder in EFI. I can't guarantee that this will solve your problem but it seems like you are adding an unnecessary additional level of complexity by introducing USB functionality in the installation process.  This suggestion is offered with the deepest compassion for your frustration.

Information from HackintoshParadise Discord. USB Maps require some changes for Tahoe.

All USB maps are broken. If you are using:

UTBMap.kext: USBToolBox test build.

USBMap.kext: Use USBMapinjectorEdit from the USBMap Tahoe branch.

Hey Mate. If I share my results folder from SSDTTime, can you create an EFI for the Z890 ProArt that might boot into Tahoe? None the less any help would be appreciated. I created another EFI but I lose usb if I disable the usbinjectall.kext. I added the SSDT-UIAC with usb ports mapped but as long as i have usbinjectall turned off I have no usb.

Do you have the mapping kext?

Report the ports here on the SSDT-XHC.aml.zip

Follow this little scheme to enable/disable ports
and to map connectors

The first line enables ( One ) / disables ( Zero ) the port
The second defines the connector

For  500 , 600 , 700 ... mobo need modify this line

USB-.png.a93d373cbd0be7fb35e98024d44ab76d.png

or send the kext...if you want

It looks familiar to me :)

Yeah, after digging a little more, looks like it's going through some checkpoints, and after that, it says something like:

entering _ramrod_device_has_usbcretimer

Failed to create DT nodes for IODeviceTree...

And then:

No port micro restart (we don't support SMC on this platform).

After that it goes into restart, and it's back to square one.

I've checked SecureBootModel and it's set to Default, in case that makes a difference. The fact that I can boot Sequoia perfectly with this config makes me think whatever the issue is, it's probably specific to Tahoe. So...for now, I'm stuck as well.

With Polaris we have a problem and I see where.

The crash of WindowServer trying to use Metal 4 while Polaris driver does not support it.

We should replace /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/SkyLight.framework by Sequoia version. Anyone knows how to replace it like OCLP does this?

Thanks! But I have to do this from a system on other disk, so from Sequoia I want to edit Tahoe. What to change?

Thanks for the links. I'll try using them to adjust the configuration on my HP 250.

I have tried. You can't. Just from inside. Boot with IGPU or another GPU to have light. If you can enable ssh, from another machine.

To be sure it works, you need to replace:

AMD10000Controller.kext AMDRadeonX4000.kext

AMD9500Controller.kext AMDRadeonX4000GLDriver.bundle

AMDFramebuffer.kext AMDRadeonX4000HWServices.kext

AMDMTLBronzeDriver.bundle AMDShared.bundle

AMDRadeonVADriver2.bundle AMDSupport.kext
