Strange, only installation from Recovery partition needs internet requirement. Witch method do you use to create macOS Installer?

The build script copies the other essential files. Why does the build script not copy the Resources ?

So when I set ShowPicker to NO and I do reset, even I hold or spam the Opt (Alt) key (or the ESC key) on my Magic Keyboard, the BootPicker will not show. When I shut down the Hackintosh and turn it on again, and press the Alt (Opt) key, the boot picker does show.

1. Is this by design? The action key working only when cold booting and not after a reset. (P.S. I also tested using AppleUsbKbDxe.efi and setting UEFI -> Input -> KeySupport to NO - Same effect / I also tested altering TakeoffDelay, reached up to 1.500.000 - Same effect)

2. Is it a logical user experience that when the picker shows (if summoned by the action key - in my case only upon cold boot), the timeout is applied? I think Apple's stock boot picker does not have a timeout so I guess even the internal boot picker should do the same when summoned by the action key.

@WizeMan BuitIn KeySupport never worked for me. I tried every possible way (which you also give me a couple of idea) but no. On the other hands AppleUsbKbDxe.efi works like magic within every aspect. Reset, Restart, First Start it doesnt matter its always working. When I need a ClearNvram I just pressing Opt+Command+P+R also Recovery works actually all key options work like a magic and I am not using TakeOffDelay or Timeout.

When using AppleUsbKbDxe.efi you must always be holding not keep pressing. When you see your motherboard logo just hold Opt key or use CleanNVRAM key combination or what ever you want.

Resources of nearly 100 MB, but basic reason it content Apple.

The size should not matter. The audio files (the biggest folder) would only be downloaded once and then subsequently, only the changes. So there's no reason for the Resources to be part of the build.

The least that the build tool should do is to create the Resources folders.

"content Apple" does not make sense. Apple content (if you are referring to the EFI HFS driver) is already on GitHub so downloading it during the build should no be a problem.

@WizeMan

1. Is Fast Boot on?

2. I agree this behaviour makes no sense, however there might be edge-cases where people believe it does. The point is, you can fix this by setting Timeout to 0 with no explicit drawback, so this is will-not-fix.

The point is not whether it is on GitHub, the point is whether it is refered by an elementary repository. Would you prefer OpenCorePkg or some trash repository vanishing? A script referencing the data could be enough to justify a claim in the worst case, so we stay safe, which most definitely makes sense.
