I think I'll stay for 14.3 beta!  How fast to install and to work... I do not know what they did, but in fact the speed with which the system runs is impressive! :thumbsup_anim:

Does your Intel Power Gadget prevent your system from sleeping? If not which version?

Hi,

Actually, I've never done this test, but when I can, I'll do it. If I am right, the IPG version I use is the last one :)

How's the H.264 and HEVC decode/encode ?

That is, if you play back HEVC video, is it using the CPU/IGPU or the RX560 ?

And if you use Quicktime to do a screen recoding, what's CPU/IGPU loading ?

Curious to see you IOREG to see if they reinstated HEVC (it was in 10.14.0 but removed after 10.14.1).

Thanks.

Ah ok.

For the IOREG file, you run an App called IORegistryExplorer App (attached) and then File..Save As.. to save the file that you upload here.

Double click on the attached file (to unzip it) and then double click the App to run it

IORegistryExplorer.app.zip

Great. Many thanks.

It shows that Apple have yet again removed H/W acceleration for HEVC for AMD RX 5xx.

It was in 10.14.0 but removed after 10.14.1 update.

10.14.3 Beta looks the same as 10.14.2. Shame.

Apple are going backwards :wallbash:
