Hello, MaLd0n,

I wonder if you read my last two posts, related to my Acer Aspire 5315 with High Sierra 10.13.

The main two issues I’m trying to solve are:

1- When I boot, one of two times I get the attached image, and I have to shutdown and switch on again the laptop to get the desktop loaded. This happened before, with Sierra, but maybe one of every three boots.

2- Only 2 of 3 USBs work. This happened with Sierra too.

I hope this can be solved with DSDT patching, but I don’t know what I have to do.

Thank you again.

Thank you, MaLd0n,

I've uploaded the requested files: https://www94.zippyshare.com/v/uzI3IzSL/file.html

Using your CLOVER Install.zip as it is, just adding GMAX3100 kexts.

DSDT.aml.zip

put dsdt in clover/acpi/patched, drop oem tables in config.plist, reboot and send me new dump

Did I understand "drop oem  tables"?

I added

<false/>

below

<key>#DropOEM_DSM</key>
and

added

<key>Name</key>
                        <string>DSDT.aml</string>

just before

<key>#Patches</key>

Or maybe did I have to change from

<key>#DropOem</key>
            <true/>

to <key>#DropOem</key>
            <false/>

in <key>SSDT</key> section?

This is what I got after rebooting:

Thank you,

EDIT: Please, forget this, look at the following post.

Thank you, NullCPUPowerManagement.kext deleted.

One last question: do you think we can improve something with the booting issue related to GMA X3100 kexts?

Since I changed SMBIOS from Macbook 5,1 to iMac 10,1, it boots correctly one of every three/four times, this aspect seems to be worse. With Macbook 5,1, it happened one very two/three although I didn't have the third USB port recognised. Is there, maybe, anyway to use MacBook 5,1 SMBIOS and to have the three USB ports working at the same time?

Thanks again,

Thank you very much, Mald0n, I rebuilt kext caches and now no more booting troubles!

Please, MaLd0n, one more DSDT patch?

We have just made an Acer Aspire 5315, and it's great, it runs much smoother!

Now I'm requesting an Acer Aspire 5715z, it's nearly the same computer, only audio codec is different. I cloned the SDD to this computer, taking out the "Drop OEM" and your patched DSDT.aml and it booted. I wonder if you can apply the same patches you applied to my 5315, to get a smoother High Sierra on it. This is the ZIP: https://www48.zippyshare.com/v/NpZDf70I/file.html

Thank you again :)

Hey guys, I'm loosing my mind here, been at this on and off for days and still can't figure out.

10.3.3 instals and runs fine, upgrade to 10.3.4 goes fine, fresh install from the usb installer goes fine, to install from USB I just have to disable LiLu and NvidiFix kext oh and I have to remove second GPU or gpuLock thing happens,  but the on the first start after complete, fresh  install  I get kernel panics, system lockups to the point of even the reset button doesn't work, also EXTREMELY slow initial boot to clover with the latest apfs.efi.

What the hell is NMIPI lock?

YELP!!!!

Same as before lowered it down to 16 cores per cpu. Never had this kind of issues with any of the previous 10.3 versions

ingonna try the os on hpfs instead apfs see if it does anything.

I even tried removing all dsdt ssdt patches. Same {censored}
