  1. Hi!So I've successfully built my rig and installed Mac os Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Pro Wifi Intel Core i7 9700k Ballistix Sport 32gb Samsung evo 500gb nv Sapphire Radeon RX 580 Pulse Corsair h60 The thing is that I got it running perfectly, even performed some heavy video renderings with no problem but sometimes it just restarts on its own, sometimes when I'm using Chrome, sometimes when I'm editing or whatever other task. Last time it happened I got the forbidden sign on the screen so I tried to boot up again using the -v flag and I got the "Couldn't allocate runtime area" message, which is very strange because I had no problems in booting up the system after I made my configurations in the config.plistPlease someone give me some help with this problem, I'm completly stucked!! config.plist

  5. BEFORE TRYING THIS, DO THE OBVIOUS SOLUTION! REPLACE YOUR OPTIOFIX EFI FILE WITH VERSION 2, OR WITH VERSION 1. ONLY PROCEED IF DOING THIS DOES NOT WORK. Alright, so my first attempt at helping people that isn’t in a private discord. Hope this goes well. No one has posted this as a direct solution to someone asking for help with this error, so I thought I’d be the one to share it.

I encountered this problem when I rebooted after making some minor changes and discovered I couldn’t boot back into the disk. All over the web, people keep suggesting clover-side tweaks and replacing kexts, and while they may solve the problem for some, absolutely nothing was working for me (and a few others), even when booting with no kernel cache at all. No boot flags worked, no .efi files would solve it.

Holding spacebar in clover, no change. So, the solution ended up being system side, and not clover related. You needed to delete your prelinked kernel from the HDD and rebuild it.

To do this, you just have to be able to get to your recovery drive or use an install USB that’ll give you access to the disk. Clover got me into my recovery drive just fine, another hint that it wasn’t related to clover - but regardless, whatever works for you. After you’re in a terminal, type the following commands.

Df -h This will list all of your volumes, make sure you’re targeting your installation drive.

If your volume has a space in the name, such as "Mac OS HS", you'll need to format it as such: "Mac\ OS\ HS" - This is simply how the command line associates spaces. touch /Volumes/[NAME HERE]/System/Library/Extensions && kextcache -u /Volumes/[NAME HERE]

In my case, I replaced [NAME HERE] with my installation drive - "macOS\ 10.13". Chances are, this command will give you the error "Child process [directory] has exited due to signal 10" The line immediately after that will give you another bit of extremely important information that you need to take note of. "Error 107 rebuilding /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel" That directory is what we're going to be targeting to fix our system. So, time to nuke it. rm -rf [location to /prelinkedkernel/prelinkedkernel] MAKE SURE YOU DOUBLE CHECK IT IS EXACTLY WHAT WAS OUTPUT WHEN YOU TRIED THE COMMAND ABOVE.

IMPORTANT: YOU MAY RECEIVE A READ ONLY ERROR! DO NOT PANIC. I've done this on multiple machines and it really is hit or miss whether or not this will appear. Regardless, the solution is simple. The following code tag only applies to if you encounter this issue. Fsck mount -uw / RE-ENTER THE FOLLOWING COMMAND! You need a more specific location now. rm -rf /Volumes/[NAME]/System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel touch /Volumes/[NAME]/System/Library/Extensions && kextcache -u /Volumes/[Name] Now you should be receiving "/Volumes/[NAME] locked; waiting for lock." This is a good thing. Wait a few seconds, you'll receive "Lock acquired; proceeding." After that, you'll be back at -bash-3.2#, and it will appear as if nothing happened. Again, this is expected. For people who didn't have to use the Fsck command, simply type the following and receive the usual "Waiting for lock; Lock received" response. touch /Volumes/[NAMEHERE]/System/Library/Extensions && kextcache -u /Volumes/[NAME HERE] Now, use your up arrow on the keyboard to re-enter this command. If nothing happens, you're golden. If it detects kexts with invalid signatures, that's still okay - but for future reference, don't go the ##### approach/philosophy of installing kexts to your system drive. Take this as a warning. Go ahead and reboot, and start your installation just like normal. You'll now get past the 0x1 error. Congratulations! If you get hung up anywhere, go back to clover and add “-f” to the boot flags, then boot again. You should make it back to your desktop with no damage whatsoever.

Like nothing ever happened! Now, as for what causes this, I honestly have no idea. All I know is when you have a working system, make some kind of modication/tweak/installation that HS doesn't agree with, you can possibly get this error on some systems. It's rare, but exists, and unfortunately this is the only way I've been able to get past it. It's not too much work, so don't be too intimidated. You'll have your system back in no time. If you'd like some personalized 1-on-1 support, read my signature and contact me that way. I'm more than happy to help, or at the very least take some time out of my day to analyze your issue and give my thoughts. Thanks for reading my first guide, I'm hoping to publish some more fixes to make High Sierra as painless as possible for every user.

    Clover USB Won't Boot

First post, thank you all for any help offered. I am coming from a certain commercialized hackintosh community - after seeing such amazing vanilla installs and reading of the talent here, I decided to have a go at not using such software methods. And I immediately got myself into a predicament BACKSTORY I successfully upgraded from Mavericks to Mojave 10.14.2 but decided to start over and do a clean install because my Vega Frontier was not playing OOB even with Lilu & whatevergreen - and there was a lot of 'code junk' Clover barfed at boot from this 'commercialized software'. SUCCESS I created Mojave USB installer from scratch using the latest Clover, it worked fine, got me to the Mojave install screen. PROBLEM For reasons unknown to me, I decided for one last ditch effort to see if I could get my already installed Mojave playing nicer - instead of starting over clean. So I installed the latest Clover on my Mojave SSD, (it had a Clover version YEARS ago when I last installed Mavericks) and I replaced the EFI file with the kexts and config of my USB EFI file because I figured, since the USB installer launched, it was all good to go. Now nothing boots after BIOS. Not my Mavericks drive, Mojave SSD, nor my USB Mojave Installer. They all hang right where Clover usually launches. I look at my USB lights and nothing flashes... The only drive I can use is Windows 8.1 (my testing environment) and not from Clover. That's just booting windows up without any HD's plugged in. Is there a way to rescue my predicament? I don't have another Mac computer and CloverConfig only runs on Mac. Is there a way to fix the USB from Windows? Thanks! Specs: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 rev. 2.0, FC BIOS, i7-980x, Vega64 Frontier Edition, Nvidia GTX480, 24 GB 1333 RAM, SSD + various hardrives

  12. Hello, I have installed OSx86 10.11 (El Capitan) on April 2016 on my Asus Z170 Deluxe system. For installation I used this Thread. I used it a lot and it worked well. Meanwhile I switched to Linux and I use Win10 time to time. So OSX was forgotten. Also it did not boot correctly anymore. Now I wanted to start with a fresh installation and use OSX more often again. I want to use OSX 10.13 High Sierra. Is it working on my Asus Z170 Deluxe? I have the same Hardware as of April 2016 only the graphics card was updated to a Nvidia GTX1080. My Hardware in detail: Asus Z-170-Deluxe (Bios 3801), i7-6700k, EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC GAMING ACX 3.0, Samsung 950 Pro/M2 NVME 512MB, HDD 4 TB) Can I use some of support files from the old thread for the installation (see attachment)? Can I still use Clover 2.3k r3292 Special Edition v2 ? Or do I need a newer version? Has someone installed High Sierra successfully on the Asus Z170 Deluxe ? About some hints where to start I would be thankful. regards JackBauer24 Z170DeluxeFiles.zip

Salve a tutti, Sarei interessato a mettere mac os X lion su questa mia configurazione: MB: Asus rampage IV extreme (EFI Bios) VB: Nvidia ge-force GTX 580 CPU: intel i7 3930k @3.8 GHz (overclocked) (sanybridge) RAM: kingstone DDR3 2x8(?) @ 1333MHz Audio: logitech G36 (USB) Wireless: realtek RTL 8192SE LAN: intel 82579V BTH: Asus bluetooth Mouse: Trust Predator (USB) KB: Logitech G19 Screen: LG Flatron W2442PA (full HD) (TYPE: AHCI) 1HDD: Patriot Pyro SE (SSD, windows) 2HDD: WDC WD20EARX-00P CD: SH-S223B (Se servon altre info basta chiederle) E vorrei installare qui Mac OS X Lion (per ora), in concomitanza con Windows 7 premium.
  15. So I am trying to install El Capitan on my system, and I keep getting stuck at the same spot, I have looked at many guides and it seems that I always get the same output. Firstly my specs: -Asus X99-Deluxe -GTX 980 -i7-5820K - 32GB DDR4-2133 And now for show and tell! I have tried and retried the ##### method (that program from tonymacx86 that apparently isn't liked 'round these parts), and the Clover method. I just tried the RampageDev guide, and you could say I made progress, cause now what ever I do I at least get to the following point!: http://i.imgur.com/De9X4Rw.jpg I have tried using -x, nv_disable=1 (with and without InjectNVIDIA), slide=0, dart=0, and npci=0x2000 and npci=0x3000, all give me the same output (in any combination). Does anyone (especially those with similar setups) have any ideas? UPDATE: Ok, so after changing USB headers on my board and retrying the front ports, I can get past the "Still waiting for root device" message! However now I get to these points: Booting with just -v, npci=0x2000 and kext-dev-mode=1 I get this: http://imgur.com/LXunuKm.jpg and with cpus=1 added I get the following: http://imgur.com/6SuTFLN.jpg In both cases the machine restarts after a second or two.

    Bluetooth & WiFi n00b

Hi All, New to the forum and hackintoshing. I have built TonyMacX's mini deluxe with the GA-Z87N-WIFI mobo and am running Mavericks/10.9.4. WiFi apparently is a no go and it turns out the bluetooth has serious issues. I had it working at one point, but now it's gone AWOL and from all I have read it doesn't look like anyone has got it going properly. My situation: I don't really *need* WiFi, it would be a nice extra. I need bluetooth only because I have a wireless mouse I rather like (in fact I had to borrow this wired mouse )! Can someone introduce me to this world of WiFi & BT on hackintosh? I found Toleda's guide and read a few other threads. Is there a plug and play option available to me? I want to minimise any additional software fixes to avoid agony when I inevitably update the OS. It seems like the only plug and play for BT is a dongle, such as GMYLE – is that right? I am very fond of the little aerial that came with my mobo and I had hoped to simply replace the card on the mobo, which I think is a mini-PCIe? Are there any options better than the one's Toleda mentions? Probably really obvious stuff, but I'd love some help from someone more experienced. Thanks for reading.
  17. Hello guys, Sorry for my bad English. I need your help to solve this problem: I can’t move my mouse and my keyboard don’t work on installation screen of Mountain Lion 10.8.2 This is my config : • Gigabyte P55-UD3L (AHCI and HPET64bits configured bios) • CPU I5-760 • ATI4830 or NVIDIA GTX450 (I can swich) • USB mouse • I have a USB keyboard and a PS2 keyboard (I can swich too) I have a fully working (sound, Ethernet, video, keyboard and mouse) snow leopard OS on my 500GB western digital hard drive. I tried to install mountain Lion with ######, with legacy USB option, but I’ve got the grey screen freezed. With –v I cannot see the last line before the Pc (hackintosh) reboot… So I tried with MyHack. And it worked with ATI4830 without any boot command I can go until this screen http://www.cachem.fr...s-x-10.8-pc.jpg I cannot move my Mouse and keyboard Before asking for your help I tried by myself to do this : • Putting the GTX450 but I have the Grey Freezed screen and as far i can the installation screen with the ATI card I think its not a PCI card problem. The GTX450 is brand new and fully working on windows8. • I tried with the PS2 keyboard-> nothing changes • I tried –x -> nothing changes • PCIRootUID=1 -> nothing changes • GraphicsEnabler=No -> nothing changes • Cpus=1 -> nothing changes • USBBusFIX -> I can’t move my keyboard or mouse • Turn Off Legacy USB in bios -> The USB KEY cannot boot, nothing happen • I putted two kext in Extra folder of MyHack USB key hopping that it wil lunch this as drivers but othing more: IOUSBFamily.kext (but as my USB key is recognized it was ok) and VoodooPS2Controller.kext but nothing changes… • I putted my P55-UD3L DSTD (renamed in DSTD.aml) in this folder and lunched it in the boot command DSTD=/Extra/DSTD.aml -> Grey Screen with the black centered spinning weel during hours… Do you think buying an APPLE keybord would do something ? If you have any solution even weird even difficult I will try. If ti works you will have my eternal gratitude and the feel that you helped a man somewhere on earth. Florian.

    HP DV6 2150us install help

Hello- So I have been trying dilligently for days to get OSX Yosemite installed on my HP Pavillion dv6 2150us laptop. I have tried all kinds of different flags and bios settings and in verbose i get all the way to a point where that screen looks like it changes to a GUI but it is garbled lines that i cant make anything of. I am looking for pretty much a walkthrough on how to get this working. I am using a legitimate copy of OSX Yosemite from my wifes MacBook Air but I would like to install El Capitan (which I can get from her MacBook when I update it). What would be the best bootloader for my install? Kexts? really any and all help would be appreciated. Attached are hardware and system info screenshots. Thank you all so much in advance. Its my first post but I have been lurking the forums for weeks getting tons of information from other's posts but I just haven't been able to get it right yet.

    [Success] - Acer Aspire 6930G

Potete farlo con Pacifist oppure tramite riga di comando: open /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ 10.9\ Developer\ Preview.app/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg cp /Volumes/OS\ X\ Install\ ESD/Packages/BaseSystemBinaries.pkg ~/ pkgutil --expand ~/BaseSystemBinaries.pkg ~/BaseSystemBinariesEspanded cd ~/BaseSystemBinariesEspanded/ tar -xvjf Payload -C . mach_kernel rm -rf Payload Bom Scripts PackageInfo open . Tutto ok.

    MSI MPOWER Z87 install help

Hello! I'm brand new to installing OS X onto a physical machine, so please pardon my newbishness note: I posted this in the wrong place (OSX 10.9 installation), so If this is also the wrong place, could an admin please move me to the right place thanks! So Here's the build I'd like to install OS X 10.9 (or 10.8 if 10.9 wont work): Processor: Intel Core i7-4770k Graphics Card: MSI Twin Frozr GTX 660 Ti (The MSI version of Nvidia's GTX 660 Ti?) Memory: Patriot Viper 32GB (4x 8GB cards) Motherboard: MSI MPOWER Z87 Chipet (Does have the UEFI thing) DVD Drive: ASUS 24x DVD Burner DRW-24B1ST HDD: 1 or 2 TB (Don't think it matters) I built it with the best that I could get, thinking that it would be better so that OS X would run really fast So will my hardware support? and what boot flags (I read some of the instructions) should I use? Will provide everything necessary to get this baby working xD Thanks! DustinKazi P.S. Could I also possibly install Xcode and iLife on it (via the DMG files that I found)?
  21. Hi. I am running this hackintosh since 10.8. and once I got the hang on clover, never run into problems with major upgrades. Until now. On my first try with the installation, I put FakeSMC into /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.13, which did not work. I learnt to put it into /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other and put apfs.efi into /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI Now booting (in verbose mode) runs a while but in the end, I am stuck at Com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.WindowServer) Service only ran for 0 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 10 seconds. with a timestamp in front which, obviously, refreshes every 10 seconds. thats it. nothing else happens. I turned the internal Graphics off in UEFI. I boot UEFI only. Any help is appreciated. I tried it with multiple clover releases, actual one is 4297 iMac 13,2 GA-Z77X-UP5-TH Xeon E3-1245v2 GeForce GTX 680
  22. Hi all and hope you had a happy new year. Was reading the wiki on Lion compatibility for Portable Computers and read about the Asus X53S. I have that exact computer, and was happy to see it. In the text in the list it says; will make a guide on installing etc. As there is no way of seeing who has added the wiki post i am reaching out here. Thanks in advance and have a great day/night/evening.

Sorry for the delay, A new Pandora is here, and the Jar now contains new tools: - Hermes, build your installer to USB or DVD. - Hera, a tool that can create, update or upgrade the Recovery HD partition with the version of OSx you want ... even on your Mac. - Zeus is the new heart of Pandora and the tool who will act as a post-install, but will also be available during the installation (yes, during the installation process!), and will assist you in making OSx bootable on your PC. All new apps are now multithread to take advantages from your CPU, and possess a beautiful and colorful graphical interface for a better user experience. Supported OSes: 10.7x, 10.8.x, 10.9.x and 10.10.x Yep, both Enoch r2510 and Clover r3094 inside (Enoch r2530 and Clover r3113 updating via Software Udpades to r2.017) DOWNLOAD* Pandora's_Box_Candidate3_r2.016.dmg.zipNEW read here for the bugs fixed, and here for the updates applied *Please read the istructions above before starting, Pandora's Box 2.0 is a new tool and probably you need to read for some tips and to solve problems. We need your feedback first, find bugs and fix it, so Pandora is only available here. When it is mature enough, we will put in the Download section and via software Update. For Yosemite see here about "include kernel (and Yosemite)"
  24. Hi. I was wondering... I'm about to purchase a laptop with very similar specs as the current generation of Macbooks. How likely is a retail/fully standard OS X, say, 10.8 installation to work right out of the box, in this case ? I'm aware that I likely have to find workarounds to use WiFi, audio and other peripherals in order to make it fully functional. However, the basic stuff... how likely is it really ? I'm not quite into the whole OSX86 project anymore so this is probably a noobish question. I apologise if this has been questioned before. Thank you beforehand.
