  1. Thank you very much!! And the issue is solved. I was taking video from the VGA output, if I get it from the DP output, full QE/CI.
  2. Hi, MaLdOn. I'm trying to hackintosh a Dell Optiplex 3020 desktop, HD4400, 8 series, i3-4130. I cannot boot with your clover, checked with your installation and post install clover folders. Screen remains black, once all the verbose lines finish, and it doesn't load the GUI, just when it's supposed to do that. I have been able to do an F4 and realised DSDT is extracted with 3 errors: I don't know how to fix this. Please, can you patch it, so I will try again to boot with your clover installation version? Or is the DSDT messed up and it cannot be patched? Thank you very much. Note: I'm attaching the whole ACPI-Origin folder here. DellOptiplex3020-CloverACPIOrigin.zip

[GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Thank you very much! I didn't know it could be changed! Now it's great, no more artifacts Can we get backlight control? I'm trying AppleBacklightInjector.kext (with the clover patch and ssdt-pnlf) as with my other hackintoshes, with no success at the momet. Thank you again,

[GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

I don't understand what's "it"... disable QE/CI? Could you give me an example, for example, how to disable "it" in Chrome? Thank you! Another thing I'm trying: getting brightness control. Please, if you are using High Sierra and you can adjust brightness, can you tell me which kexts or method are you using to get it?

[GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Thank you for saying this, good to know it. I'm happy I can have QE/CI in this old computer, it's great: I use Waterfox and it's ok for me, just the other people who use this computer are Chrome-addicts, I will uninstall it
  6. Just to be sure I understood: you are saying your "Clover install.zip" has a lot of "hot" (on-the-fly) DSDT patches inside of config.plist, aren't you? Thank you.

[GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

I answer myself. Some artifacts with Google Chrome, but not with Waterfox/Firefox. I have QE/CI. The process followed: I have cloned High Sierra 10.13.4 from a 2n gen i7 H3000 Pavilion dv6, created as described here. And then I've taken the patched DSDT, IntelHD kexts and config.plist from this other post from Insanelymac (a very similar 1st gen dv6).
  8. Hi again, @MaLd0n, I wonder if you can help me with my "new" hackintosh: it's a HP Pavilion dv6-3153ss laptop, 1st gen i5-430M. EDIT: My RunMe files (v2): https://www93.zippyshare.com/v/4Rule4az/file.html Note: I realised if I boot with patched DSDT loaded, Clover, when doing F4, takes the patched one as it was the origin. So, I did "runme" process again without loading the patched DSDT I'm using in this moment, and it extracted the real "origin" DSDT. I have cloned High Sierra 10.13.4 from a 2n gen i7 H3000 Pavilion dv6, created as described here. And then I've taken a patched DSDT (I know, not the best idea), IntelHD kexts and config.plist from this other post (a very similar 1st gen dv6). Now, I'd like to have my own patched DSDT, and the third USB working (only 2 of 3 work) - I don't know why the third USB is not working (DSDT, some incorrect kext...?). Thank you very much for helping me,

[GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Thank you for pointing me which versions of kexts I can try. So, you are using the kexts called Intel HD Graphics QECI Legacy 10.12.zip although I can use other FramebufferKext if I need them. Good to know this.
  10. Thank you, vBIOS is integrated into the BIOS, so there’s no way to extract it and patch it. Thank you. I will leave it with the HD3000 on.

[GUIDE] 1st Generation Intel HD Graphics QE/CI

Hello, @MacPeet, I wonder if you can help me a little bit. Tomorrow I will receive an HP Pavilion dv6 1st gen with i5-430 and Intel HD Graphics. I have another Pavilion dv6, 2n gen i7 with High Sierra and planning to clone the SSD from the 2n gen dv6 to the 1st gen dv6: so, I’m using the cloning method. I need to know: - Do I need kexts from somewhere? Which kexts? Can you share the ones you are using and working for you even in Mojave? - Do I have to patch on-the-fly some kexts with Clover? Can you share your config.plist file? - Do I need to do something more to boot High Sierra on my new computer? Thank you very much, PS My idea is simply updating the clover folder and changing the required kexts and boot the system, I’ve done this other times with other computers, and it usually works for me. EDIT: I've tried to download (1st Gen) Intel HD Graphics Kexts 10.12 L from here: And I get a list with a tone of zips. Which one is the 10.12L? There's no file called 10.12L.
  12. Hi, @jack-69, I wonder if you have upgraded this computer to Sierra or High Sierra? Can you tell me if you are using the default BIOS or you have installed a modded one? Maybe better, what BIOS version are you using? Next tuesday I will buy a computer like yours, and I need to know how you do this: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 (Blocked by BIOS). The default bios let you doing this? Thank you very much.
  13. Hello. I wonder if some of you can help me to get my VBIOS extracted, to be able to patch the AMD framebuffers (the KextsToPatch Clover section). I've tried GPU-Z (Windows), DPCIManager(macOS) and using the PCI sysfs interface to dump the video bios rom (Ubuntu). It's an AMD Radeon HD 6770M, device id 1002:6740, from an HP Pavilion dv6-6196ss laptop (very similar to an MBP8,3). I'm using HS 10.13.4 I've tried a different approach, to get VBIOS from a Bios update package (called sp55068.exe) using Universal Extractor, Radeon Bios Editor and Phoenix-Insyde-EFI SLIC (Windows). The problem is that "Universal Extractor" reads only the first 64 KB and my VBIOS is 128KB long. I attach here the BIOS (bin file) that contains the VBIOS, the three VBIOS 64KB files I could get and some images showing the errors I'm facing: https://www116.zippyshare.com/v/SxYDuJL1/file.html Thank you very much.
  14. Hi, I’ve read a topic where you talked about an HP Pavilion dv6-6xxx and installing Mavericks. I wonder if you could share the last bios mod Donovan6000 created, links are broken. And I’d like to know if you are still using it with High Sierra and your USB 3 (left side) ports work or not. Thank you.

      Done. I got it.

  15. Confirmed, when I remove GenericUSBXHCI, I lose my USBs, nothing is recognized; although the mouse light is on, it doesn't respond.
