  6. Hi all, new user here. I followed the shilohh guide i7-4930k-asus-rampage-iv-extreme-32gb-ram-gtx-770-4gb-success(and some other guides fresh installing) and everything works great but my cpu is flat at 1.2Mhz. I tried every guide here, in olarila and in "others" but nothing works. Surely I'm doing something wrong but I cannot guess what it is. Also tried nullcpu etc.. My specs are: Rampage IV Extreme i7 3930k Gtx 980 Mac OS X 10.12.6 I made my own SSDT too. C1E is enabled. I leave my Clover Folder here in case someone can shed some light because I'm starting to be desperate. Thank you in advance Cheers CLOVER.zip
  8. Hello everybody! I'm creating an asus bios repo, with MSR0xE2 unlocked and many updates/mods. You can ask me to upload your model without any problem. I'll not edit ANY bios that isn't from asus. (Ex: Already modified bios file / from other manufactor) Here are the modifications that are present: -MSR 0xE2 Unlocked (Apple PM Fix) -CPU MICROCODE UPDATED (Latest Version) -iGPU GOP UPDATED (Integrated GPU UEFI driver) -LAN PXE UPDATED (Intel/Realtek/BCM) -AHCI/RAID UPDATED (Intel/Marvel/JMicron) -ASUS ROG LOGO (From Rampage IV Black) Attention: Some mods aren't available in certain chipsets. Look in my github description. The updates were made with UBU (UEFI bios updater), and MSR unlock & ROG Logo with UEFITool. I only tested with P8Z77-V Deluxe, since I only have this board. But, all the files should be working. Would be great, if who test it post a feedback here. Current supported Asus Models (More coming): LGA1155: -P8Z68 Deluxe -P8Z68-V LX -P8Z77-I Deluxe -P8Z77-I Deluxe/WD -P8Z77-M -P8Z77-V -P8Z77-V Deluxe -P8Z77-V LK -P8Z77-V LX -P8Z77-V Premium -P8Z77-V Pro LGA1150: -ROG G20AJ -Z87 Sabertooth -B85-PRO GAMER -Z97-PRO GAMER -Z97 Gryphon LGA2011: -P9X79 -X99-A II ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As always: I'm not going to take any responsability if you mess your MB up. If it fails, just download the bios file from asus website, rename it, and put into your pendrive. (Rename with the modded bios name) How to Update (ASUS USB Flashback): Download the bios file on my github. (below) Format a pendrive to fat32 Copy the bios file to your pendrive. Shutdown your computer Connect your pendrive into "Usb Flashback" port. (If you can't find, search in yours board manual) Now press the "Usb Flashback" button. Wait until the blue light stop (can take up to 5 minutes) Start your computer, and configure bios again ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Download Repository (Github)
  9. Installing macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 on ASUS Vivobook S400C (also know as S400CA) Specifically in S400CA-CA178H model, most likely all other models are compatible Updates: 12/20/2017 04:41h GMT-0 - Added config.plist. - Added USBs.kext to replace FakePCIID.kext, FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext and USBInjectAll.kext. 12/11/2017 20:26h GMT-0 - Added update instructions. - I use SSD. I set the guide for HDD too. Small change. 11/29/2017 01:10h GMT-0 - Added USB 3.0 Kexts - Bonus: Touchscreen now works. 11/29/2017 00:18h GMT-0 - Added HDMI audio patch to Clover 11/24/2017 00:16h GMT-0 - Complete rewritten. What works and what does not work - Processor -> Work. All SpeedStep stages. - Video Card -> Work. HD4000. Full QE/CI. - Chipset -> Work. - HDMI -> Work. Audio too. - VGA -> Not work. - Audio -> Work. - WiFi -> Not work. Need to be replaced. - Ethernet-> Work. - Keyboard and touchpad -> Work. - FN keyboards keys -> Work. - Brightness control -> Work. - Touchscreen -> Work. - Sleep -> Work. - Battery -> Work. - Card Reader -> Not tested yet. (TODO) - Integrated Camera -> Work. - Bluetooth -> Not work. - 2nd stage boot logo -> Not work. What you need to install - Running install of macOS on VMware -> Downloaded version 10.13 via torrent (search by "10.13 vmware" torrent). You can use a real Mac of an friend. My method only tested on Mavericks (10.9) and above. - One USB flash drive of 8GB or bigger. - macOS High Sierra install app -> Downloaded via App Store inside the virtual machine. Downloaded version 10.13.2. - CloverEFI -> Also download inside the virtual machine. I used build 4334. - DSDT patch skills -> Needed to battery works. How to patch DSDT. Or you can download mine DSDT below, but would not recommend. How create the install disk Prepare flash drive: Format the disk with GUID partition mapping and name it "Install". - Open Disk Utility. - Click in View, then "Show All Devices". - Select the destination flash drive, then Erase. - Name: Install, Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and Scheme: GUID Partition Map If the Erase popup in Disk Utility don't work. Close it and run this in terminal: diskutil eraseDisk JHFS+ Install /dev/diskX X is the number of the destination disk. Use "diskutil list" to discover. Create install files in flash drive: Open terminal and run this command: sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Install --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app --nointeractionThis will take about 30 minutes. Install bootloader: You need to format the EFI partition of the install flash drive to FAT32: sudo newfs_msdos -v EFI /dev/diskXs1 X is the number of the disk. Use "diskutil list" to discover. Download the CloverEFI (used 4334) and install with this options on "Install macOS High Sierra": Options: - Install for UEFI booting only - Install Clover in the ESP - Drivers64UEFI - CsmVideoDxe-64 - Drivers64UEFI - OsxAptioFixDrv-64 Adjust the config.plist genereated: Will be created a partition named EFI. Edit the /EFI/CLOVER/config.plist inside this new partition and change those values: - Alter value: GUI - ScreenResolution to 1366x768 - Rename key: Graphics - #Inject -> Inject - Alter value: Graphics - Inject - ATI - FALSE - Alter value: Graphics - Inject - Intel - TRUE - Rename key: Graphics - #ig-platform-id -> ig-platform-id - Alter value: Graphics - ig-platform-id to 0x01660003 - Alter value: KernelAndKextPatches - AppleIntelCPUPM to TRUE - Rename key: #KextsToPatch -> KextsToPatch - Remove all <dict>...</dict> in <array> inside KextsToPatch - Add <dict/> bellow in <array> inside KextsToPatch: <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>HD 4000 brightness fix</string> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Find</key> <data> EAcAABAHAAA= </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleIntelFramebufferCapri</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> EhMAABITAAA= </data> </dict> P.s.: I will provide below my config.plist as attachment. Add essentials Kexts: Download those Kexts and put in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.13/ - Download the Smart Touchpad kext from here. I used the version 4.7 beta 5. - Download the HWSensors dmg and use the FakeSMC.kext from inside. I used the version 6.26.1440. This is very important. Can't boot without it. Put the Clover installer on the flash drive too. Now you can start the instalation without problem (I guess). BIOS Setup Configuration and Installation Bios configuration: - Shutdown the ultrabook and insert the flash drive on the left side on upper port (on the side Keystone hole). - Power on with F2 pressed to enter BIOS setup. - Go to "Save & Exit" and press "Restore Defaults". - Go to "Advanced" tab and change VT-d to Disabled. - Go to "Save & Exit" again and select "Save Changes and Exit". - When ASUS logo appear, press and hold ESC to enter Boot Menu. - Select the flash drive named with UEFI prefix. In my case "UEFI: KingstonDataTraveler 2.0PMAP". - The clover menu will show. Use the arrow keys to mark the flash drive. The option name is "Boot OS X Install from Install macOS High Sierra", then press Enter. - If you did everything correctly, you will see the installation screen. BUG Note: I delete all entries from the list. With that, I could not add anything else. It just didn't work. I had to put some USB device so the list is not empty, so I can add a new entry. Strange thing... Format destination disk: Format the disk with GUID partition mapping and name it "HD". - Select Disk Utility in the list, then press Continue. - Click in View, then "Show All Devices". - Select the destination Disk, then Erase. - Name: HD, Format: Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and Scheme: GUID Partition Map If the Erase popup in Disk Utility don't work. Close it and run this in terminal: diskutil eraseDisk JHFS+ HD /dev/diskX X is the number of the destination disk. Use "diskutil list" to discover. Close Disk Utility. If the destination is SSD: Start installation without APFS conversion: Open Terminal and run: /Volumes/Image\ Volume/Install\ macOS\ High\ Sierra.app/Contents/Resources/startosinstall --volume /Volumes/HD --converttoapfs NO --agreetolicenseThis will take about 20 minutes. If the destination is HDD: Start installation normally: Select "Install macOS", then Continue. Follow instructions in screen. After install: After first part install the system will reboot. In Clover main menu, press enter in "Boot macOS Install from Install macOS High Sierra" once again The second part of the installation will begin. This will take 16 minutes. Post installation Install bootloader: When the second part of install finish, the system will reboot again. After performing the user initial setup and go to the desktop, you need to install Clover on internal disk. Open the Clover installer inside flash drive that you copied before. Use same options above but choose the system partition this time. Now you need to replace the EFI folder inside your internal disk EFI parittion with EFI folder inside flash card EFI partition. The flash drive EFI partition is unmounted. Mount with "diskutil mount /dev/rdiskXs1". To know what X is, use "diskutil list", most likely is 1. Add Clover entry to UEFI: Now remove flash drive and restart the system. With F2 pressed to enter UEFI BIOS. - Go to "Boot" and press "Add New Boot Option". - Select "Add boot option", write CLOVER and press Enter. - In "Select Filesystem", choose the option that contains "HD". Like "PCI(1F|2)\DevicePath(Type 3, SubType 12)HD(Part1,Sig2a0127c1-ea5d-44d3-8967-57e59c1f0e3b)". - Select "Path for boot option", write EFI\BOOT\BOOTX64.efi and press Enter. - Select "Create" and press enter. - Go to "Save & Exit" and select "Save Changes and Exit". Others Kexts: I strongly recommend always use newest versions. If you are too lazy, I attach on end of the post. Ethernet: AtherosE2200Ethernet 2.2.2 Sound: VoodooHDA 2.9.0d10 (.kext only) You need to select the output there in System Preferences after reboot. 10. Note: I'm about to update this guide & installation pack to v2.0. This will take a few days, so stay tuned. For the Vietnamese guide, please visit HERE. About the supported models Perhaps you don't know, but in my old (and now deprecated) guide posted at OSX.VN, I received a lot of questions like "Is this guide applicable to my ABC laptop?" or "Can you help me installing OS X on XYZ laptop?". For me I consider those questions are annoying, as I think they should know the fact that a guide for one model cannot be applied in the same way to another model; it should be adapted. So here in my new guide, I have to state that this guide is designed for ASUS K501LX, and can be applied in a very similar way to K501LB but not for other laptops. Therefore users with other models should only take this guide as reference only. Here below is my table of support degree: Before posting your question, you should check whether your model is supported in this table, and should include the hardware specification in your question's content or signature. I won't answer any question in the form of "Is this guide applicable to my ABC laptop?" (you should answer it yourself). Any 'asking for help' questions whose hardware specification is not included in the content or in signature will also be ignored. I hope you will agree and follow the above advices, so that the topic will be kept from unrelated and meaningless questions. Actually I consider myself to be open to questions and feedbacks, it's just that any question posted here should be related to the topic IMO. Here in this guide, I would like to thank: The authors of the guides and posts that I referred to. Those useful documents made the OS X installation process become easier and helped me to optimize OS X after install. The authors of Clover Bootloader and all the kexts and tools used in this guide. 13. Hello! 1. I install 10.13.5 on PC and install latest Clover. Working fine with NullCpuPowerManagement.kext. Then I reconfigure config.plist to work with native power management but have kernel panic. Then I found kernel fixes for pentiums, add this to config.plist and have panic again. How i can fix it without using custom DSDT? P.S. Also why a have worked speed step with NullCpuPowerManagement.kext? Checked in HWMonitor. Also have good results in Geekbench4 - 3016/5227 points in single/multi-core mode (linux - 2861/4476, win - 3038/4850). 2. GTS250 worked out of the box. 15. Nice, seeing High Sierra running on this old but capable system! It rocks with a new ASUS GT1030 Config: Gigabyte EP43-DS3L Core2Quad Q9300 6 GB DDR2 RAM Asus GT1030 2GB Sandisk SSD 128GB TP-Link AC1200 Wifi USB Inateck KT4006 USB 3.0 PCIe (No boot) SMBIOS: iMac14,1 Clover: 4297 A good deal of DSDT editing was necessary to get this machine to boot High Sierra but finally it works flawlessly, even sleep and wake! You NEED to have the DSDT put in place for installation because otherwise macOS doesn't recognize the SATA ports. There are a few important BIOS settings: SATA hast to be set to AHCI and "native" and HPET has to be run "64-bit", I'd recommend to disable IDE and the serial and parallel port. For the GT1030 nVidia Webdrivers are needed, have to boot with nv_disable=1 until you have them installed. You have to install Clover in legacy mode because this old fella does not support UEFI. Only downside: The so often recommended Inateck USB-card isn't recognized by BIOS, so you cannot boot from it. It works perfectly within macOS though, have the ac-Wifi connected to it. config.plist.zip DSDT.aml.zip

Notebook Specifications Name : Asus A455LF-WX159D Processor : Intel Core i3 5005U IGPU : Intel HD Graphics 5500 Discrette GPU : Nvidia GT930M RAM : 8GB PC12800/1600Mhz Wifi Card : Atheros AR9565 Bios Version : 300 Audio Codec : Conexant Storage : Samsung SSD 850 Evo 500GB Boot Mode : UEFI with CSM Disabled B. How To Install I am not good for make a tutorial, so i upload my CLOVER folder (zipped), just use it (overwrite your USB Installer's Clover Folder) Set SATA Controller to AHCI at BIOS Make sure your BIOS version is "300" Set DVMT to 64MB XHC set to "Smart AUTO" C. Make a USB Installer with CreateInstallMedia method, install Clover Bootloader R4423 or above, then delete Clover Folder inside it and replace with mine ======= SPECIAL NOTE D. Normally for broadwell IGPU (IHD 5500), you only need to Inject Intel and set ig-platform-id=0x16160002 or 0x16260006. But some notebook will face RANDOM KERNEL PANIC or STUCK at IGPU log (hang) when you inject ig-platform-id. This is not DVMT Pre-Allocation Problem. I found the solution Just set FakeIGFX to 0x16268086, Tick Inject Intel and set ig-platform-id as 0x16260006 or 0x16160002. Now you will get QE/CI For me, i set those values at SSDT-1.aml (check my attachment file) ====== Whats Working?? - QE/Ci - Audio OUT and Mic - Wifi Card - LAN Ethernet - Battery Indicator - Fn + Brightness Button - Touchpad - Sleep, Restart and Shutdown - All USB Port (High Speed and Super Speed) - Battery Indicator - Etc Thanks My Clover Folder's Link : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1qzvT155DZ1r8cI0ceBW4OjWAEMUu491-
  19. Hello everyone, I have an Asus gl502vmk (i7 kabylake + GTX 1060 6 gb) laptop and I tried all the patches/kexts to get the brightness with fn keys/touchpad (I2C ELAN 1200 works with VooDoo I2C kext v1.0 but no gestures/preference pane)/Keyboard backlight to work but no success so far, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance. [EDIT] (10/04/2018) Battery status now works, thanks to @RehabMan turned out to be incorrect SMBIOS (used iMac instead of Mbp) lol, but it drains crazy fast (~1.5 - 2 hours while on standby (all apps quited!), on windows 10 it lasts 4 - 5 hours, and on linux it lasts 6 ~ 7 hours!) And with VoodooI2C v2.0.1 + VoodooI2CHID kext and patched DSDT, the touchpad is now detected in the sys pref pane but still no input. Sound works with VoodooHDA v2.9.1, but the only issue is that the jack sense isn't working (the output device doesn't auto switch to headphone when connected) [EDIT 2] (11/04/2018) The system brightness now works thanks to @onejay09 but I have no brightness slider, and there are 4 extra brightness levels (brightness stops increasing after 12 levels) and the brightness keys are not mapped correctly, plus the brightness decreases when I plug in the ac adapter, then increases if I unplug it???, the brightness level isn't also saved after reboot. battery still drains crazy fast (~1.5 - 2 hours, even with brightness at 50%, so apparently it is a power management issue). and I also have shutdowns while in sleep mode (I tried darkwake=10 and darkwake-0 and darkwake=no) P.S. I have uploaded my new report files, thanks! Latest report files (11/04/2018): https://www95.zippyshare.com/v/AMOpP0AY/file.html
  20. With the purpose of running the beloved Apple Mac OS X on our Intel ASUS laptop I am writing this guide to share my experience and knowledge about this Hackintosh. This tutorial applies to running versions between 10.9 and 10.11.6, focusing specially in El Capitan. This method applies also for Sierra but at the moment my WiFi Card doesn't work well with 10.12 so I chose to remain in a stable Mac OS X I have 99% functionality: What Works : WiFi, Bluetooth, Airdrop, HandOff, FindMyMac (WiFi card has to be replaced, I put a BCM94352HMB) Full QE/CI acceleration with integrated HD4400 graphics Trackpad with 1finger, 2finger, 3finger and 4finger gestures Keyboard (Perfect with Volume, Brightness, Play/Pause, Numpad working) Battery Percentage Sleep, Shutdown and Reboot Internal Speakers, Internal Microphone, Headphone Jack, HDMI audio DVD Drive HDMI audio and video VGA out iMessage and FaceTime Recovery Partition What is not working Internal SD Card Reader When you install Clover Bootloader to your USB media or HDD you should select the following options: - Install for UEFI booting only - Install Clover in the ESP - Drivers64UEFI (Fat-64, OSxAptioFix2Drv) After installation is complete, the EFI partition we want to configure will already be mounted, so we proceed to open it and do the following Install HFSPlus.efi and NTFS.efi in drivers64UEFI folder and remove VboxHFS.efi Open the folder /EFI/Clover/kexts and delete all the folders starting by 10 and leave only the “other” folder In the above mentioned “other” folder place the kexts that I will quote next, please note that the kexts marked in red are the absolute necessary ones for booting Mac OS X installer , the rest should only be installed afterwards, after having Mac OS X installed to your hard drive and directly to /System/Library/Extensions : ACPIBatteryManager.kext AppleALC.kext ApplePS2SmartTouchpad.kext BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext BrcmPatchRAM (Mavericks) or BrcmPatchRAM2 (Yosemite or later) CodecCommander.kext DisableTurboBoostBattery.kext FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext (Only for El Capitan) FakePCIID_IntelHDMIaudio.kext FakePCIID_BroadcomWiFI.kext (makes my BCM94352HMB work) FakePCIID_IntelHDGraphics.kext FakePCIID.kext FakeSMC, HWInfo, IntelCPUMonitor (HwSensors3 from Slice) IntelBacklight.kext RealtekRTL8111.kext USBInjectAll.kext (Only for El Capitan) After all the kexts necessary are in the correct folder, proceed to mimic my config.plist Note that the Kext patches included only work for El Capitan. If you want older version support, post here and I can help. I recommend using Clover Configurator App config.plist.zip For your SMBIOS choose MacbookPro11,2 and shake those serial numbers to really get a genuine one. In order to get everything working properly , follow these guidelines for ACPI tables patching. Firstly, press F4 at Clover GUI in order to dump the native ACPI tables. You will most probably get a crash, a red screen full of weird black numbers and strange symbols, do not worry, just force shutdown. At the next boot if you look in /EFI/Clover/ACPI/origin in your USB you should have a bunch of files. After getting MaciASL and acpica tools from RehabMan (always updated) and installing them, and adding rehabman’s laptop dsdt patch repository, which is this: https://github.com/R...ptop-DSDT-Patch I recommend patching these tables before installing Mac OS X in order to have a better user experience and better functionality as well as a cleaner and smoother install. Your computer may not even reach the installer since we have no way of disabling our discrete NVIDIA Geforce 820m without getting our hands dirty in DSDT patches. Delete all files that don’t start with DSDT or SSDT- If you have an SSDT with an x just delete it because it is dynamically loaded and so does not need our attention. Place the files in our interest in a folder and: cd /path/to/a/folder iasl -da -dl *.aml After obtaining the .dsl files you should open them and check for errors. In the latest BIOS we have the following errors: DSDT- We will find 4 errors The parse op Zero errors can be fixed by deleting all the “Zero” you find in the conflicting place The remaining two errors are fixed by applying the ADBG fix from RehabMan repo SSDT-1- We find many errors and all can be fixed by applying the patch “Remove _PSS placeholders” SSDT-12- We find an error related to a specific sector of a cryptic DOS device, we can safely delete these following lines from the SSDT Now that all our ACPI tables are nice and clean we can proceed to patching First of all, open all the tables at the same time and hit Command + F to bring up the Find Replace dialog box and Find:GFX0 and Replace it with: IGPU Find:B0D3 and Replace it with HDAU Do this in all the tables, so the renames are the same in all your tables When that is done, apply the following patches to the DSDT: Use the patch "DTGP" (you can easily find it with our friend Google ) Use the patch "Fix _WAK Arg0 v2" Use the patch "HPET Fix" Use the patch "SMBUS Fix" Use the patch "IRQ Fix" Use the patch "RTC Fix" Use the patch "OS Check Fix Windows 8” Use the patch "Add IMEI" Use the patch “7-8 Series USB” Use the patch "USB PRW 0x0D" Use the patch "Igpu Brightness Fix" Use the patch "Audio Layout id 3" When you have applied the Audio Layout Patch just Find: layout and it should show the only result, then make that part look like mine, so that you can use AppleALC for native on the fly audio If you want HDMI audio you should open SSDT-10 and find layout again and make it look like the one you just edited in DSDT, we do this because we want layout-id 29 instead of layout-id 3 For battery percentage you should use the ASUS N55SL/Vivobook patch Finally when you did all that you should follow RehabMan’s tutorial for Disabling Discrete Graphics Cards, on a web which I am not allowed to mention. This will give you much more battery life and a lot less heat. You should read it properly and you will notice there is close to no difference between his example and our laptop so it will be easier than it looks like. Make sure you also use the patch he posts to fix shutdown and sleep when our NVIDIA is disabled. After all the ACPI tables are properly patched save them all and cd /path/to/where/your/patched/tables/are Then delete all the original aml files And then iasl *.dsl After getting the resulting patched aml files, place them in /EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched for Clover to load it Place them all together in /EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched and in the ACPI section of your config.plist make sure to "Drop OEM" tables and set the "Sorted Order" as I did in the attached config.plist. Before installing Mac OS X make sure in your BIOS you have legacy mode disabled and you have secure boot and fast boot also disabled, so that Clover works well. Also make sure the controller is set to AHCI mode. Remember to use a GUID partition table on your Hard Drive and if you plan to dual boot just create two Mac OS Extended Journaled partitions, don't create any Fat partition using Disk Utility cause that will leave you unable to install Windows in UEFI mode. Post-Install Finally you will need to generate an SSDT using ssdtPRGen.sh (this can only be done when you have installed Mac OS X) https://github.com/P...ha/ssdtPRGen.sh Add it to the Sorted Order and you are done Make sure to set the hibernate mode to either 0 or 2 . You can copy the colour profiles from ASUS Splendid Utility and use them in Mac OS X, but for my eyes, I prefer the default LCD one This is the first fully functional Hackintosh I ever accomplished and it took me a few months of learning… I am using Mac OS X for about two or more years in this Hack and I am still in love like the very first boot hihihi This is almost the perfect HackBook and has worked since Mountain Lion until now Hope you enjoyed!

PSS: Ho già seguito diverse volte An iDiot's Guide To iMessage senza risultato. Grazie per l'attenzione.

    Abilitare porta HDMI Asus K550JX

A voi cosa risulta? Riuscireste a darmi una mano? Grazie anticipatamente.
