updated to new nvidia drivers on 970 on 10.12.2 and takes a good minute of black screen before login window shows. if I nv_disable the drivers it loads right away, so its something with the nvidia web driver. Any idea how to get logs of what is going on with nvidia web driver?

Yes and yes to 16D I think it is. The only "side effect" seems to a delay in the loading screen when it goes black it stays black longer but all works fine.

Mmm need more test.

driver not work.

Hey everyone,

Forgive my noobness. I read through the thread and still haven't come to a conclusive answer to a recent experience that I have.

I recently acquired a 4,1 Mac Pro flashed to 5,1 and installed the latest web driver on 10.12.2, after the restart I then shut-down and installed my EVGA GTX 980TI from one of my other rigs. Unfortunately, the display is completely black regardless of what port I plug into.

Here is what my System Report shows for the card.

Any suggestions or did I miss something.

Thank you everyone for your time.

Try this pack for 10.12.3

#install all kext via Easykext Utility

#install agin NVDAStartupWeb.kext

So install 2 times

Hey everyone... I'm finishing up on a new build (due to my old motherboard dying on me)

I've got an i7-3770, Asrock Z77 OC Formula and a GTX980.

I can't boot with the 980. It was working just fine with the old motherboard (an MSI p67a). Now, if I use nv_disable, it boots ok (without acceleration obviously) and if i use NvidiaWeb, I get a black screen (with no errors, and there is actually a signal being sent to the display;  it's just blank), and the machine doesn't finish booting up (I know because I can't VNC into it).

All this is to say that no, it is NOT the AGDP issue. I'm using iMac13,2 SMBIOS.

Today this happened and I left it like that a while to see if it ever finished up booting (seeing as I'd read about people experiencing long boot-times on a black screen) but after a while I had to turn it off because, I {censored} you not, there was smoke and the smell of burnt plastic. I have no idea _what_ burnt, the only symptom I've seen so far is the BIOS doesn't recognize HDs plugged into the Marvell SATA3 controllers (but Windows sees the drives, so I don't think they actually died, or the ports, for that matter)

Needless to say, I haven't attempted to boot Sierra again.

Any ideas?

FYI; Installing beta drivers on 12.2 fixes the cuda update issue. The nvidia panel crash is still there

The beta Nvidia Web Driver for 10.12.2(16C68) working perfectly for GTX-780.

It still works for 10.2.3(16D17a) for GTX-780.

Not working 10.12.3

Not load:

GeForceWeb.kext

NVDAResmanWeb.kext

NVDAGK100HALWeb.kext

Etc.

You should expect 10.12.3 WebDriver

The Nvidia Web Driver for 10.12.2(16C68) still works at 10.12.3(16D17a) for GTX-780.

Here is what my System Report shows for the card.

Hi,

Where is your System report ?

Did you use these webdrivers  ?    macOS 10.12.2 (16C67) 367.15.10.25f01  or (16C68) 367.15.10.25f02

Which graphic card did you use for the 10.12.2 install ?  (before changing to GTX 980Ti)

May be a NVRAM reset  could help  ....    (  Cmd (⌘) + Opt + P + R)  on boot

Good luck
