When I go to 'About this Mac' and press any of the buttons there, I log out! System Profiler works fine from the Applications folder. Thanks again! Paquito Posted October 4, 2006 Share Posted October 4, 2006 I've had mixed results on JaS' 10.4.8 update. On my ASROCK P4915Dual (478) the update went without a hitch. However on my other machine, a Dell GX520 - which previously is on 10.4.7 Server. After doing a clean 10.4.6 install, I immediatelly applied JaS 10.4.8 -- I've encountered sudden crashing of Safari and Shiira, prolly it affected Webkit as both shares the same library. Firefox is very slow, System Profile fails to show the hardware info. So what I did was reinstall from a 10.4.6, then went to JaS 10.4.7 patch and finally to JaS 10.4.8 afterwhich all issues were gone. Thanks to all who worked hard in making this update possible, especially to JaS and Kiko. Run as they should but: Despite the fact that about my mac says Processor 0 MHZ Unknown I can’t save the trackpads double clicking and tracking speed in the system preferences menu; they are always on max. slow….? Double click doesn’t work after first time in use, then only right click and open get the job done… Anybody a clue how I can solve this issue?
