  1. Well, I'm really stupid!!!!!!!! With the previous 10.4.8 for SSE3-only release I made a patch myself!!!! This box.net account is mine, hehehehehe, http://www.box.net/public/kd5ulo8u6h#main It's mentioned in this topic: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=19838 It was made for problems described in these topics: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=31398 http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=30320 I only didn't had that one anymore because my system crashed and some files were gone. I already tried the other one (for 10.4.7), but, hey: for two months not into this {censored}...bad memory.... So, problem solved! One very strange thing: when just running ./install.sh from this package, I get kernel-panic....Executing all commands which are in this script manually works without any kernel-panic or other problem....
  2. I only get garbled screen when using the Radeon extensions as delivered with installation DVD. Re-install with those Radeon-extensions not selected and just applied KoverG and Callisto003fixed which worked with all previous versions, res.control qe/ci (from 10.4.4) -> same problem: garbled screen. HP Pavilion ZD8000/ZD8320EA. 3 Ghz Intel P4 CPU, 1Gb RAM, ATI Radeon X600 mobile 256mb dedicated vram deviceid 0x3150 Anybody? Thanks in advance!
  3. Leopard hacked!

Holy {censored}, this is really great! Development goes almost faster than the time I need to download and test new versions!!! Really cool! Keep up this great work guys!
  4. These IO80211Family.kext and IONetworkingFamily.kext can also be found over here: http://www.box.net/public/kd5ulo8u6h#main That gives the same support as we had in 10.4.6 (Realtek 8139, Broadcom wireless etc..)
  5. HP Pavilion 8000 -> works perfectly (with the help from some patches): wifi, lan, gfx, usb2, even lightscribe on the DL-DVD burner! HP nc8230 -> usable: no wifi, no lan, gfx works (the same as on the pavilion 8000), usb2 works, DVD burner works. Used a Ralink wifi-usb-dongle (d-link dwl-g122) for network connection/internet access.
  6. reinstall -> Do NOT select the "USB Fix" during installation.
  7. Extensions for HP Pavilion 8000 series can be downloaded from this place (graphics with install script, ethernet extension and airport extension): http://www.box.net/public/kd5ulo8u6h Use the HP.Pavilion.GFXExtensions.10.4.8.zip for this new release. The "about this mac" problem can be solved with the "10.4.4 Login extension" option during install.
  8. 10.4.8 JaS Install Reports - ONLY -

Oh, sorry, just checked it a couple of hours ago and there was nothing on demo, but yeah, it's there right now! Thanks dude! Going to start torrent and will let it seed on full power the next week. Thanks again for all your great work.
  9. 10.4.8 JaS Install Reports - ONLY -

JaS, how long do you expect will it take to public-release your new build?
  10. What gives your log-tab as blocked ip-address? Do you've DHT enabled?
  11. Try it with the tool cageman used, because he got different checksums using two different tool: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=221447
  12. Well, not sure, it looks like we get different hashcodes between different tools?
  13. Taken from JaS.10.4.8.Intel.SSE3.Only.Install.DVD.iso MD5: 36463658aff360345550fd6245645831 SHA1: 6dc1174b738798f7dfd3e7e3b1454f6d082d011e So, I don't know if this helped or not, because we're not certain what the correct md5/sha1 checksum of JaS.10.4.8.Intel.SSE3.Only.Install.DVD.iso is.... *Edit: Used the "openssl dgst -md5 [-sa1] filename" method as mentioned earlier by U200 (thanks for that answer!).
  14. Occurred with uTorrent with DHT disabled. How can I get a MD5 and SH1 hash from Mac OS X (which tool)???
