Today I was trying to do a clean install of 10.12.4 from a USB stick using clover 4049 and when I got to the end of the first stage and it reboots to the second stage, clover does not see any drives to boot from to resume to installation.  I thought this was supposed to be fixed in 4048 but it doesn't appear to be fixed for me.

I did get my system back up and running by restoring a time machine backup from the installer.  I can boot in to that fine.  I wanted to do a clean install so I could re-create the recovery hd partition.

Hi guys,

Do you know how can I get the windows boot logo back when booting Windows 10 from clover?

If I boot straight from the bios to the windows disk, I get my OEM bios logo, when I boot it from clover i get just the spinning dots...
I know it's just a cosmetic thing, but I'd like to know if there is something I could do about it!

Thanks a lot!

The latest 4061 does not work for me either. Im using a legacy system and it loads until it freezes(loads OSX). The previous 4049 worked fine. I dont use edid.

Attach boot.log and your system information.

I don't know if it exists, but is there an option in Clover to auto boot to the latest chosen OS (when no OS is chosen after the timeout) ? This can be useful for Windows/ Mac updates which requires restarting several times.

Edit, yea I found it: https://clover-wiki.zetam.org/configuration/boot#boot_defaultvolume

Make debug.log in this situation to understand what is the problem.

Attached is a zip of the debug log.

I enabled debug logging.  Rebooted to the installer which is on a usb flash drive.  I then wiped "Macintosh HD" using the disk utility in the installer.  I then installed OS X.  The system rebooted back to clover and there was no option to continue to the second install stage.

- Clover 4049

- Legacy boot

- Using a DIY Fusion Drive.  (120GB SSD with a 1TB HDD).

Don't drop the BGRT (Boot Graphics Resource Table) ACPI table.

I don't see HFSPlus driver that is needed for fusion drive, in fact no HFS+ driver at all:

I dont drop the BGRT table but still have no boot logo when boot into windows 10 through the Clover.

The BGRT holds the OEM boot graphics logo bitmap, which is used to draw the boot screen in windows. Unsure what else would be happening.

I found the oem logo showed in Windows Setup.

But after install the windows the logo disappear.

No reliable information, but I experienced the same years ago... Guess Windows does not redraw the logo at this stage (why would they? It is supposed to be on the screen right now)

I'm using legacy boot, I thought the hfsplus driver was built in?  I'm able to boot my system if I do a time machine restore from the installer.  I just am unable to do a clean install and continue on to the second stage.

EDIT: I'm booted in to my system now after restoring time machine.  Here is the driver section from bdmesg.  I still don't see hfsplus so I don't think thats the issue.

EDIT2: hfsplus.efi driver didn't help.  I can see the driver loaded successfully via bdmesg. I then booted the 10.12.4 installer off of my usb flash drive and did another clean install.  Still doesn't see the second stage installer.
