  1. Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13” Bios vers A05 — CPU i5 6200U (Confirmed working on A06 Bios too) 2.1 PACK FOR HIGH SIERRA ONLY, FOR SIERRA USE 2.0 Not working (Sierra Pack 2.0): Wi-fi / Bluetooth. (Bluetooth works if using a VM to inject the FW) NVME Drive. (to discuss about using it, since that not supported "by this filespackage“, open a specific thread or use PMs) Nvidia Optimus 940MX GPU. (Optimus does not work on macOS at all) Not working (High Sierra Pack 2.1): Wi-fi / Bluetooth. (Bluetooth works if using a VM to inject the FW) Nvidia Optimus 940MX GPU. (Optimus does not work on macOS at all) WIP issues: To fix the USB lid bug, now sleep is enabled partially and this drains the battery faster than usual, only when sleeping obviously. Steps (Sierra Pack 2.0): Steps (High Sierra Pack 2.1): When updating to new versions of the filepack: Remove all old files and install the new ones following the ReadMIs. Just remember to use the same serials you used before. Don't use bios mods, other files with different patches or you'll get no help. Special thanks to: Jolly, gengik84, and RehabMan. Devices: 8gb Pen Drive A Vm a Mac or another Hack a Surface Pro Files: latest GenericUSBXHCI from here latest Clover from here SurfacePro V0.5.1 files Pack Yosemite Installer (placed in the Application folder) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/388-dual-screen-boot-glitches-fix-for-sp1-10103/ Part 1: Creating the Usb Installer "How to" Usb installer Video Guide Things are really getting easier, this time we just need a couple of steps to create a bootable pen drive. We need something with OS X already running on it to create the Usb installer, even a VM is ok. Then after formatting the Pen drive with Disk utility and naming it "install" with the Yosemite installer inside the Application folder just open the terminal and paste this: when done, install the latest clover to the pen, choosing efi installation. The Efi partition will automatically mount, copy dsdt & ssdt files to efi:clover:acpi:patched config.plist to efi:clover and fakesmc and genericxhci to efi:clover:kexts:10.10 That's it for the first part. Part 2: Install Yosemite disconnect every device or screen Even this is really simple, with the Usb device we created on step1 inserted, press and keep pressing volume down while pressing power, this will force the tablet to boot from usb At the clover welcome screen go to options and with the usb highlighted in Clover press space and choose kext injection. When the installer boots use disk utility to plain format the whole drive using guid (under options) and mac os extended journalized. Proceed the Installation like a real Mac. Part 3: First Run SafeBoot with injection. Again with the Pen inserted, press and keep pressing volume down while pressing power, this will force the tablet to boot from usb At the clover welcome screen go to options and add -x as boot argument then with the local drive highlighted in Clover press space and choose kext injection. when booted, after the welcome screens, install clover to the local drive drive always choosing efi mode, then copy config.plist, dsdt and ssdt to local efi. Use KextDrop to install all the kexts. (do not place the kext manually!!) (omit AppleFrameBufferCapri if you experience glitches, thanks VampireHunter_D) Install touchbase demo driver, or if you bought it install your copy. Good to go... Part 4: There is no Part 4 Just boot normally without injection & safe mode. Have fun!
  3. Surface Pro 1st gen El Capitan clean installation: Please don't post parallel guides. if you want to improve something just write me a PM and i'll be glad to cooperate. Take your time to update your signature you can use this as a reference, just change the bolded text with your actual configuration. Microsoft SurfacePro 1 OS:Windows, Android Cpu:u4000 Gpu:HD4000 Ram:4gb 1333 WiFi:external usb SSD:128gb Not working: Sleep, internal bt/wifi (you can use a usb wireless "pen", or the method described in this post) If you want to know more about running MacOs on the SurfacePro don't forget to check the original multi boot guide, there are a lot of interesting things to read and learn. Let's start: To create a bootable drive you can use the same process done for Yosemite: createinstallmedia. example with a fresh formatted drive named Install and the OS X installer app on the desktop: sudo /Users/USERNAME/Desktop/Install\ OS\ X\ 10.11\ Developer\ Beta.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/Install/ --applicationpath /Users/USERNAME/Desktop/Install\ OS\ X\ El\ Capitan.app edits to boot the installer: Install the latest Clover Copy all the files from the new files pack to right paths on the efi partition. After the installation: Use Clover configurator or another utility to generate a serial number, you can even use your old one if you have any. Remove AppleHDA.kext and AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext then use kextdrop to install the patched ones. Use KextDrop to install back these patched two kexts. (do not place the kext manually!!) Then I suggest to change the CsrActiveConfig from 67 to 1 and use 3 when/if you want to edit files inside /System, that will give more security, activating all the new System Integrity Protections but not the unsigned kexts one, you can check its status from terminal using: "csrutil status" Have Fun! Extra files: Updated DSDT Patched dual screen kext [don't use this dual screen kext if you are on a version newer than 10.11.1] (thanks coasda ) 10.11 SP1 FilesPack.zip AppleHDA.kext.zip

    [pre-release] macOS Mojave

I had to remove lpssi2c kext cause applesmc will panics with it along side my DSDT, with alc 1.2.8 and alcbetaall and lilubeta sound got fixed without changing layout id, still no acceleration despite having "patched" the web driver's plist with the correct macOS version... my 1060 is being recognized but no acceleration and lot of artifacts, btw the OS looks very good, dark mode is sweet! Yes I'm having those previews bugs and the app crashes if I launch it... But it's ok for a beta!

G-sync on laptop screen with webdrivers

Hi guys, I've been running macOS on my Asus Rog gl502vm, and it works pretty well, I'm just missing keyboard backlight control and G-sync... I don't know if there is a way to trigger the driver to recognize the screen as a g-sync compatible one, tried injecting the fixed edid of the screen, but haven't got any success... I made a little research and I cannot find anything useful about this, I wonder if any of you guys have any idea about making it work, would be a really neat feature! I hope someone can help and thanks as always for any kind if help

Need help with ASUS GL502VMK laptop post install

I've got this laptop, fully working minus keyboard brightness, that's working but its not dimmable with shortcut Keys... there is actually no way to use the latest voodooi2c when the i2c device is in ETPD and the CPU is a Kaby, tried with the help of alex.daud, driver is loading, pinning is ok, but still no movement from the trackpad... Alex.daud said it's a problem about the Asus dsdt implementation... Latest version working is 1.0.4 P.s. I was trying to debug the Keys to remap them, but seems that the keyboard, that's usb, cannot be seen by acpidebug...
  20. XD you didn't specified btw happy you solved
  21. hp omen 15"touch 5004nl that laptop is using optimus, nothing to do with this thread that is about fixing backlight on discrete gfx
  22. I can confirm that the solution provided by onejay it's working for me too!
  23. Yes, its working btw using bergdesign brightness it's even adjustable, just not on Apple's sliders or automated things like power plug removal... This and adjustable keyboard brightness level are the only two steps missing to get a 100% working hackintosh laptop!
  24. Ehi guys! Any news about this? I was able to make the display be recognized as internal and with Pwm-info the slider works, but only shut the display down at the bottom... If I disconnect the power cable I can see the onscreen brightness appear with different values, but it always stays at the same brightness! Any help? Thx!
