I disabled Beamsync, ITS AWESOME NOW.

cept this

benchmark with HDD

42.50 - better then before, good, considering this is a low low end comptuer

benchmark without HDD

85 - AHHHHH HOLY {censored}.

see, on one, jsut one of the HDD tests, the "random" writing, first one (blocks of 4K) I always score 1.24, WTH, the other tests are fine. that drags my whole score down.

anyone have a solution, id rather have 85 then 42

your score will never be 85 even with the world's fastest hard drive on your current setup.. you can get a boost by enabling quartzextreme though. i'm using a celeron m 1.5 ghz, 1.25 gb ram (ddr2 400fsb), 40gb hd 5400 rpm, i915 chipset, 900gma graphics... i get 60.36 on xbench. i'm going to be installing a pentium m 1.5 ghz and overclocking it to 2.0 ghz =D that'll boost it up big time =) but in your case, faster memory and faster processor will boost your scores.. hard drive won't boost it much.

on of my hardrive scores is 1.24

1.24, of course its dragging evything down.

my openGL scores and graphics test are all in the 70's and 100's, smae with the rest. this one single section of the hardrive test gives me a 1.24 and you immeditly see the score drop

well honestly not one macintel with disk unchecked will come close to that score. except a dual xeon 3GHz mac, I used temporary slow HDD and will have a new WD SATA HDD then ill include disk benching tomorrow, my score with the slow HDD was 183. I figured somone would run xbench with out disk benching selected and see the raw power in comparison.

is this with or without beamsync enabled and quartzextreme enabled? pretty good potential scores, i think.

My Score: 65.84 :)

Specs:

JaS Mac OS X 10.4.6

Pentium M 2.0 Ghz (Sonoma)

1.0 GB DDR2 SDRAM

80 GB Seagate @ 5400 RPM Parallel ATA (Recognized as SATA)

Intel 915GM Chipset

Intel GMA 900 Graphics

i assume you don't have quartz 2d extreme enabled and beamsync disabled.. your score should be higher, i think. was everything in the background closed?

Just had some time to a bit of Xbenching. This is for my Conroe box, specs in my sig. It's an E6600 running at stock 2.4GHz. RAM is 533Mhz. QE2D disabled. Beamsync enabled. I'll try testing with QE2D enabled and Beamsync disabled later.

I have Intel D945GNTL mobo with GMA950 video with 256 megs allocated to video.

I get 17 on User Interface Test

Is there any way to boost that or am I stuck with this number as long as I use the GMA950 video?
