well I didn't look through all 25 pages but I think My little pc is doing ok. I got a score of 156.22

 

I'll get my sig put up here soon but until then.

 

intel e6600@3.4Ghz

Intel 975xbx rev 305 mobo

patriot 667mhz ram @ ~775mhz

ati x1950 xtx graphics card

and seagate sata 3g/sec HD 320 gigs

 

I just installed the os and ran the test. I'll post again after I've tweaked the system some.

 

Davicnhi what you p[osted in your "post" was 156 your real results are 165 wich is way better copnsidering my system is much economic than yoours and my xbenchs are around 155

yeah I'm working on getting my HD score up. The randoms are scoring extremely low. I am trying to get at least some soft raid working. If I had hard drive scores equal to my other scores I'd be in the 200's I think.

 

P.S. I only built my pc with osx as a second priority It is mainly a windows gaming machine until things change in the os x gaming market :D I'm just happy it plays so nice with os x.

thought id share my score too!

 

Im running the JaS 10.4.7 image, then upgraded to 10.4.8 via that update that was going around. runs like a dream. under windows, the constant disk thrashing was making them heat up to 45-50 degrees C. since OSX turns off the disks when they are idle, neither of them go over 30 degrees. Most stuff is recoginised on my MSI K8N Neo-F; Nforce PATA and SATA (SATA not tested, recognised tho!) AC97 audio, USB 2.0, Bluetooth (wirelessly syncing PIM information with my nokia n70!) The AMD 3200+ (venice, SSE3) is acting strangley, it has had the SSE3 patch applied but it still doesnt show it in System Profiler. i believe it to be running at stock speed (2.01Ghz) because it is running at 27 degrees C with air cooling. System Profiler reckons its running at 3Ghz...

 

Didnt bother doing Quartz/CI tests, i have an Nvidia 6800XT w/256GDDR3 (reflashed to 6800)

my box has a ASUS P5DL2-VM SE mobo with 1Ghz PC4200 Kingston RAM and a 250GB

SEAGATE HD. it has a Intel D820 cpu oveclocked just 10%.

 

installation was pretty simple, just patched Azalia audio.

 

everything runs pretty good, no problems. FrontRow working.

Around 192 pts without HDD Test. Actually I think the benchmark is useless unless it implements full intel acceleration (SSE etc.) and the disk bench is also pretty poor (getting worth scores on 1.5TB RAID5 of Highpoint RocketRaid 2320 w/4xWD 500GB RE2 drives).
