ATI Firegl 3200 (equivalent to radeon 9700 or X600)

with Radeon9700 driver working (QE and CI)

Score : 66.55

(CPU: 64.95, Thread: 104.33, Memory: 74.49, Quartz: 73.2, OpenGL: 131.17, UI: 58.34, Disk: 35.27)

CPU score bad because no altivec (vecLib FFT:42.33)

Disk score is bad I should take a look why.

After spending hours trying to get Mac OS X 10.4.8 to install, I finally did it. Realized nForce4 SATA is not fully supported yet, so I tried my old HDD. Results are ok, but will see if I will able to score higher with new HDD and graphic card. I hope someone code a driver for 7950GT, so I can use that instead. Buying 7600GT just to use for now until driver come out for 7950GT. I have a question though. Do this mean both cores on my CPU is detected?

Im very surprised at my scores, didnt think it would be so high. 113.78 :(

My laptop is a COMPAQ PRESARIO V3016US, running 10.4.8 JaS.

Even tough my graphics tests seem to be high up there, my video playback and DVD playback performance still sucks... I wonder if there is a solution for this out there.

EDIT:

After finding out that the XBENCH scores can be a little too independent to consider them as real world scores, I decided to run CINEBENCH 9.5. This programs seems to push my system further and get me results that I (and anyone involved in design/gaming) can relate to.

Resutls are as follow:

RENDERING (1 CPU) 371 CB-CPU

RENDERING (2 CPU) 707 CB-CPU

Cinema 4D Shading 438 CB-GFX

OpenGL SW Lighting 1448 CB-GFX

OpenGL HW lighting 783 CB-GFX

OpenGL Speedup: 3.31 x

I think this numbers are very good!

:)

Anyway, here is a comparison to some macs, so you have an idea of where those numbers stand.

My specs are:

Intel Centrino Duo T2050 (1.6 Ghz)

1.25 GB Ram

80 GB hard drive (sata)

Intel GMA950

I'd say mine has a bit more power than yours.... why is your score that high ?
