hi again,

I managed to get Ci and QE working in a 8800GT with NVinjector, but with 1 version, on VRAM i get 768 which gives me graphics errors, and with nvinject 0.1.7 i get a VRAM of 256 which gives me errors too. i dont know how to set VRAM to 512.

Can anyone post a NVinject of 512 or give a detailed way of how to do this??

Or can anybody to post a nvinject of VRAM od 512????

Thanks 4 youre time and patience

palote,

VRAM,totalsize has to be set manually in "info.plist" file inside package content using PrepertyList Editor as follow :

<00000008> - 128Mb

<00000010> - 256Mb

<00000014> - 320Mb

<00000020> - 512Mb

<00000028> - 640Mb

<00000030> - 768Mb

that's your answer

Guys can someone please do an EXACT how to, I've asked every irc room.... I just cant figure this out....

Thanks

also, coudl you point towards which direction of a driver we should use, I.E. NVInjectGo 1.0 or 1.17 NVInject, if we have a 8400M. Thanks

After a lot of work i have CI and QE working on a 8800GT 512. Is working but with some graphics errors. if i do a right click i cant see anthing as is supose to be when clicking rigt mouse bottom. When playing video is very laggay as reported, so is NOT FULLY WORKING in my case. I would like to know if somebody is having this issue and how to fix them is there any posibility...

i have read about delete nvinject and run a natit.kext but when doing this i loose CI and QE and the resolution option.. so i would aprecciate and info o tip in how to fix this...

Thanks in advance and sorry to be so noob ;)

it's simple

use kexthelper

drag%drop folder opengl.framework to /libraries (replace the old)

drag&drop all the 10.5.2 kexts to kexthelper and install

install the nvinject and use the 512mb version (no full install only the 40kb kext)

and reboot

noway kernel panic if u use 10.5.1 even without vanilla kernel

right now i removed nvinject and install it with natit!

for somereason is faster ,i'm gonna test more

can somebody else download xbench and run the "user interface test" ?

with nvinject it was about 150 and now with natit is 400 !

also difference in other tests (opengl etc)

big difference in osx movement (windows, genie ..)

and at last at premiere before with nvinject i put 8 videos in the scene play together

it was laggy

now with natit there is no lag ,i even put blur effect in all the videos!

bye bye xp (i also downloaded the updates from apple)

only problem for now...final cut won't start but i'll fix it

sORRY.... but..

How do you install NATIT...???

i have the natit.kext you posted... but when deleting nvinject and copying the natit to extension folder o with kext help as you advice me, i reboot and i loose CI and QE...

Can you help me??

Thanks in advance

Well, add another successful test here, this time with a Quadro NVS 140M GPU (a G84 chipset). I'm running with the latest NVInject, and yeah, it's laggy, but I'm satisfied for now, just because it's "no fuss, no muss" - I don't have to mess with anything, I just throw NVInject in and I'm done.

I'll probably revisit this and look at Natit vs. NVInject once 10.5.2 comes out for real, but at least now the graphics are fully usable, if a bit slow.

I didn't try with NVinjectGo but NVinject 0.17 and Natit.

I just test the External VGA here is a pic of the detection:

Nice MacGirl.

This is making me want to buy an M1330 rather then a T61p.....

Nice choice of Wall Paper too.

To Those asking about an exact how to.

You need to learn to install Kexts. This is what happens when you JUST wait for iaktos or kalyway, etc.

http://forum.osx86scene.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=229

That is a tutorial on how to install kexts.

Bundles are basically installed in the same way, except 1.) they go in a different folder and 2.) you don't load then through kextload

There's no point in posting an exact how to for everything.

All of this done with the assumption that you understand the basics.

If you don't have time to learn, go buy a mac, you either pay for it in Cash or time, that's how this works.

palote, when unzipping the new OpenGL.Framework make sure you do it on a HFS+ (Mac) partition and not a FAT32 or NTFS partition.

The framework contains symbolic links that cannot exist on NTFS/FAT32 and thus the new OpenGL.Framework will not work.

I ran into that problem before and for me it caused QE/CI to be disabled.

I have a strange behavior on by 8800GT 512Mb

I tried Natit and both nvinjects and all of them give me a laggy system. So laggy that when i move a window mouse pointer and the window itself don`t move simulatenously. The windows is a bit slower. But strange thing is, when I ran Xbench, during the test everything works fast. And If I Force Quit the test before its finished, I can work in system with no lags. Looks like the card is at really low clocks by default and raises them when given a 3d application.

Does this method give you a snappy working system? Please try to grab a window and move it around, does it move with the pointer or lags a bit?

I just want to know if I'm the only one with the problem or not.

I`m using Core2Duo 3.2Ghz, GA-865-DS3, 2Gb Ram, and an MSI 8800GT. I have Kalyway Leo 10.5.1 with vanilla kernel and all patches.

My Xbench results for 8800gt are rather high (around 235 overal) though still lower than on my other card (320 overal) which is a 7800GTX.

The problem are not Xbench results. The problem is that system is fast only when Xbench is running its tests, and it gets laggy again right aster it finishes. Seems like some kind of throttling.

BTW, my scores for 7800GTX are 280 / 259 / 396 which are faster then yours with 8800GT. This means your card is not OK also, because 8800GT is at least twice as fast. You just don't get lags, and I want to know why.

Not to be a pain in the ass, LOL, but does this mean that the 8700M gpu will be supported too?

This is such an awesome development. I was looking at getting a MBP early next month, but if I went with a Dell or something else you can get so much more of a computer for less money, and this opens up some more options :-)

Hello, I first wanted to thank the community for all their help and forums. I recently finished installing 10.5.2 but my video card is not recognized. I currently have a 8700m GT would the procedures described above work for that card using NVinject or am i out of luck? Thank you ahead of time.
