Fiber
God damn it. Discuss the build, not the seeding. We can discuss it when we have it. No that's not funny. graphxks
LOL, can't discuss the build till we have it. I know, I know, watching this trickle in is like watching metal rust. Slowly back away from your computer and do something else for a few hours. Drink heavily or have sex or finish that novel or something.... Your stress levels will thank you. definetheline
I installed Leopard 9A559 on my new MacBook Pro 2.4Ghz with the Nvidia graphics card, and while I find applications and spotlight run super-fast, I find the graphics performance lagging quite a bit. Not fluid whatsoever, especially for a new machine. Anyone else experiencing this? Could this just be bad drivers? Will it be fixed before release? hazkid
I'm seeing 1 seed (not connected to it), but I'm completely satisfied with my 350 KB/s DL speed. This is over One Bar wi-fi- I'm impressed. Edit: Now I have 266 B/s. That's an... interesting speed difference. And no, that wasn't a typo. 266 BYTES per second. Argh. cyp75
Hi, does anyone know if a modified image, that would install on hackintosh, will emerge soon for that great 9A559 release ? I guess we all know that it will, but does anyone have some news for that ? Anyway, thanks Ayanami for seeding it ! Because almost the only person you can get it from is the seed or people who somehow get ahead of you. definetheline
I find app launching and reboot very very fast. When I talk about the graphc performance lagging, I mean the dock, spaces, expose, stacks, and dashboard. All Core Animationy stuff like that. When I used 9A466 it was much worse, but I don't know why I get the feeling the the graphics card in this MBP is not being fully used or supported by ithe OS as of yet. Wondering if anyone else is going throught the same things. rathalos
Actually for me, expose does seem to be a little laggy... Roughly the same speeds and choppiness as that in Tiger... I'm using the new mbp 2.2Ghz btw... And did u guys notice, the ram usage seems to be way way way higher than Tiger with jus basic use... base ram use 350mb, the when i jus used safari and adium, it jumps to 800mb.... and its still climbing steadily... seems like ram usage optimisation is still damn right out.. Numberzz
They added a glass effect in 559? Wtf Yeah, they did. But do not worry, its nothing like the ugly glass they have in Windows Vista. Just the drop down menus have a small glass effect. This is why some menu rendering takes longer. NoSloppy
Hi - I've been lurking and following this thread from post 1, and had to register to chime in, so yes this is my first post even though I feel I've met you all already. Anyway... Hello. I am seeing a few things that I've not heard anyone else mention, so here goes: 9a528d - When I connect a firewire ext drive, the icon mounts ON TOP of an existing one on my desktop. Consistently, no matter what I have set as far as preferences go ( snap to grid, arrange by kind, etc...) Anyone else? It seems as though there's a .DS_Store file is saved with it, and when it mounts, it wants to be in the same coordinates where it was when it was unmounted, even if it means over on an existing icon. Weird right? Secondly, I have 9a528d (upped from 527) on 2 (almost) identical machines. G4 MDD Dual 1.25 with stock ATI Radeon 9000 Pro, and a Dual 1.42 w/ a 9600 pro. When going from 466 to 527 people were saying the menubar was whiter with a blur effect. (I saw screenies) and it looked much better. Well, to my surprise , on the one machine it looks the same (dim and transparent as 466), and it went damn near invisible on the other! I have a black background and the menus are really only hinted at being there until you roll over them. Am I alone? While staying neutral on the whole file sharing thing, I would think the one and only guy could have privately ftp'd it or .mac it to a few people to get the seeding going, no? 1131 peers all connected to that poor machine is almost comical. Thanks for listening and for any input you may have to the issues. HackerName
Can i get a screenshot to compare or something? This illustrates it fairly well: It's a bit buggy though, the glass effect can still linger a split second after the menu disappears. Ironically this is exactly the way the drop down auto-complete bar looked in IE 5 One quick question for anybody able to help: Does the RSS functionality in Mail feature groups? Or is it just one long list of feeds? Yes. If you create a new "Mailbox" in the RSS feed section, that works just as a folder where you can put your feeds in and group them the way you want. PS: Anyone else sick of the forum "feature" that groups your consecutive posts together killing line breaks? *sigh* Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64018-a-little-birdie-tweets-9a559/page/26/#findComment-456575 Share on other sites
