Didn't you say Numberz also got it from the same place? Why couldn't you get the original DMG file back from Numberz then?

Hm.. If Numberz also dint keep the original DMG, what if he homebrews his partition back to DMG, will it work to help to seed?

Kinda just came to me that all the peple are spamming Ayanami about his seeding and his torrent, and we have left the screenshot king alone!(well, other than screenie requests) :hysterical::D

OK : Usenet is not a Peer 2 Peer system. You need to upload the files on a server where the "leechers" can donwload then.

But, the download is so fast than errors can arrive. So, the poster need to split the file in archives like that : leopard_dmg.001, leopard_dmg.002, etc. "Split & Concat" is a good app for it.

And, the poster need to create some par2 files. These files can be used to fix download errors. I believe "Split & Concat" do that too.

Finally, the poster need to upload the archives files and the par2 files on a group (i.e. alt.binaries.mac.application). "Unison" is the best Newsgroup app for Mac (to upload and download).

And the "leechers" can find the archives files and the par2 files on the server and download it.

This is the basics steps, I'm trying to find some links more detailled.

Do you know if Front Row works with an external display? In a previous build (499) it wouldn't display on the external monitor, even if it was set as the main display.

can't test this at the moment, however i know that in 9a559 frontrow doesn't display video (it's blank but with sound) when displays are synced. i hope this bug, is sorted before the final release, as this functionality was the only possible way to use frontrow on a second display in tiger

Hey guys, I have a question that I am sure you will all think is very newbie style but is it safe to install this 9A559 release as my main operating system (replacing Tiger) on my computer? Will I be able to upgrade to the final retail version when it finally comes out without losing any of my data? I'm really without a clue on these pre-release builds (obviously).

Thanks!

I would not trust it make a backup of your system first before installing it as your main system. Or create a dualbootsystem. I'm not sure if you can upgrade to the finalversion...

Personally, I'd recommend waiting for the retail version and save yourself the potential glitches and hassle. It's very likely going to be released in a few weeks after all.

A few Quick Leopard Questions.

1. Does Back to my Mac work with the screen sharing so you can remotely control another computer?

2. Does iChat still allow for remote screensharing through firewalls?

3. Is resoloution independence still supported?

4. What has been removed since the start of the beta?
