nato64
Hey...PM me for that sorta stuff. And BTW, I'm not really considering any of that by now. Most people are past halfway. If you want to, open it up somewhere else, but at least I put it out there for you. If you want to take the time and do that, fine by me. But I have other things to do.... It seems like people are demanding that you give them Leopard even though you've done a LOT already. Give a mouse a cookie... MrDee
It was wicked fast for me....like 7 minutes. I installed it from a partition though...Not a DVD... archive and install from 527 with about 60 GB media took about 15 mins, from a partition... Yeah...mine was Erase And Install. I added X11, but no Printer Drivers, or Additional Languages or anything else. Wow, very interesting install times there, 7 to 15 mins! I remember when I use to install OS X x86 Tiger, I was impressed by the 20 to 25 min install times. Although I applied similar configs as you did such as unchecking the numerous Printer drivers and X11. This was on a AMD Sempron 1.6 GHz with 512 MBs of RAM btw. Vista was such an excruciating install experience during the betas, although my hardware is not modern, I had install times of 40 mins to 1 hour, my best time so far is 35 mins with Vista. Pentium 4 3.2 GHz, 2 GBs of RAM. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64018-a-little-birdie-tweets-9a559/page/20/#findComment-455407 Share on other sites

nato64
Mine will scream at a 'fast' 60 KB/s then go down to zero or like 5 KB/s. I'm about 61% done and since this will be the first build I've used since 9a410, I'm pretty excited. I had such a horrible experience with that build it's turned me off from any Leopard beta until now. The issues I had with 9a410 shouldn't be so lightly refered as "bugs". It :censored2: ate my old 12" PowerBook lol Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64018-a-little-birdie-tweets-9a559/page/20/#findComment-455620 Share on other sites
HackerName
1. Does Back to my Mac work with the screen sharing so you can remotely control another computer? Haven't been able to test this yet. But I might later tonight. 2. Does iChat still allow for remote screensharing through firewalls? Haven't tested this either. 3. Is resoloution independence still supported? In so much as it was supported in Tiger. Apart from some updated controls (stoplight buttons, scrollbars and text-fields), there really isn't anything to it. It's as buggy and useless as ever: 4. What has been removed since the start of the beta? Screensavers :censored2: More questions: - Same Mac OS X loading screen as always? Yes. Same loginpanel too (Especially if you had UNO installed), except on space background. - any additions to the Cocoa font and color panels? Not as far as I can tell. They look and function exactly the same. Third party color pickers still work - any tweaks to Full Keyboard Access & Keyboard Shortcuts? Not really. Looks the same to me with exceptions of added Spaces shortcuts - any Dashboard improvements besides Web Clip? Nah. Slightly faster loading perhaps? A few of my widgets are broken (Widget Update, Say Cheese, Air Traffic Control etc.) - any adjustments to Smart Folder UI and icons? Well, searching now lets you choose between Contents and File Name. The checkbox for Include System Files seems to be missing in action from the last build though. - is the horrible beachballing if a networked computer is abruptly disconnected from the Finder finally fixed? Yes. Since the WWDC build Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64018-a-little-birdie-tweets-9a559/page/20/#findComment-455629 Share on other sites

Yes. Since the WWDC build Thanks a ton dude. Its interesting, the only thing that seems wrong with that resolution independence window seems like just the gray borders, but besides that it seems to work fine. And in interface builder doesnt it support this and promote it alot? Skylor
Anyone with this build and an Airport Express having issues with http://facebook.com I don't get it. Works perfectly fine with other routers in my house, iphone.facebook.com loads, but I can not get the main facebook page to load, and when it does... it takes 5mins and errors out. Anyone with this build and airport express please test this. Why would it be just this ONE website? I don't get it!
