I'm finished now too. I'll continue seeding for the next few days, but it seems that there are only 2 people downloading and I'm the only current seeder...at least according to what Azureus is showing. Not sure how accurate that is. Is there better torrent software out there?

Does everyone know which box to check for the install? is there a way to know how?

 

Do I check all the patches, including: "loginwindow 10.4.4", "Remove CPUPowerManagement kext", "Remove Thermal Kexts", "Verbose Mode" and check 1 Kernal, 1 video driver with either an nvidia/ati patch? if there's some info on each check item to read about, i'd like to know. thanks in advance.

BTW, I didn`t succeed in installing v1.4i by vmware6-phisical-hard-installation like 10.4.8 and uphuck1.3. ^^;

( The same Error [10.4.8 & uphuck1.3 & 1.4i] : Because of a problem, installing Mac OS X could not be completed. )

I´ve installed this release but got kernel panic! My motherboard is Asrock 775i, I´ve been installing all the releases without a problem, I´ll try again later. Meanwhile I´m downloading tubgirl´s 10.4.10 dvd from the pirate.

ASUS G1S (Santa Rosa, C2D T7500, 8600 GT, 2GB RAM, SATA 160GB) halts at:

 

panic (cpu0 caller 0x003AB83F) : Unable to find driver this platform : "ACPI"

 

I tried cpus=1, cpus=1 -x and nothing different happened.

 

What may be the solution? ... BTW, there's no option in BIOS to change anything related to ACPI.

Forgot to do a clean install initially (result blue screen, no login).

Erased partition.

I could install 10.4.4, 10.4.5, 10.4.6, 10.4.7 by Vmware-PhysicalHard-Method.

( I must use this method because of having no dvd-r & rw. )

Okay, I just installed it 99% fine. Kudos to uphuck

 

AsRock Conroe 945G-DVI using onboard everything (sound, Intel GMA950, Ethernet). Sound doesn't work - no problem I'll get a cheap USB card, will not try Azalia.

Graphics work out of the box, but only 1024x768 solution. Installed JAS 10.4.8 GMA950 patch -> all resolutions work and DVI display is recognised.

Installed uphuck's RTL1000 driver and network works okay BUT Safari seems to have DNS issues, I can't access any webpage. Pinging and ssh through terminal works though. EDITED: This is not a problem of the installation, but Safari seems to be unable to cope with transparent proxies. Any ideas?

aparentelly 1.4 have less conflicts.

PS - As this is an inexpensive mobo doesNOT need graphics card can use a bargain CPU have 4 SATA2 connections, 2 DDR400 dimms and is very small, here it is a starting pointo to ppl getting started. The draw back is no sound out. if anybody knows how to fix ACL888 Audio, let me know.

I´ve managed to install it succesfully! Great release Uphuck! very fast!!

 

Just for those without HPET remember tick the removeCPUPowermanagment.kext and it´ll do the job.

 

When tryin´ to add the NTFS-3g support my NTFS partition wasn´t recognized.

 

One last question: this release includes spanish languaje or not? If not, How can I install it?.

first i would like to thank uphuck for this release..

 

i just downloaded this and burned the iso to a dvd using nero 7. i tried to boot to the dvd and it wont work. is there a special way to burn the iso or a certain program.

 

my system is currently running on jas 10.4.6 dual boot with vista..

drag uphuck 1.4 iso to an instaled HDD (not a exernal drive to avoid errrors)

 

open nero and close new compilation window

 

~/Recorder/Burn Image and open iso

 

burn at lowest speed

One more question: QE/CI appears in system profiler as supported but I haven´t flip and water effects in dashboard/widgets but i can run the screensavers and frontrow ok, what´s happennin´?

 

I edited my AtiRadeon9700.kext loke I always did with my Ati radeon 9550. Don´t know what´s wrong.

I am downloading this right now and was wondering if it is going to work right or if i need to download any patches. I want to have XP and OS X on my computer and be able to choose which one i want whenever i boot up my computer.

Well, I installed 1.4i and all has gone well so far. I used koolkal's 10.4.10 upgrade and that worked fine too. I still have to edit the networkinterfaces.plist which I don't have to do with JaS. Network shows as en2 instead of en0. I'm currently installing the software pkgs from the 1.3 disk along with FCS2. I chose netkas' AppleSMBIOS on install to see if that works with CS3. Not sure if that was affected by the koolkal upgrade or not. I'll report tomorrow after I install CS3. AppleSMBIOS still shows as 1.0.1. I needed 1.0.6 before to ensure a working CS3. Good job uphuck. Fast install process.
