  1. You are right! It is working now! Thanks!
  2. @matemago Can you please upload your AppleHDA.kext because it seems that I cannot install any of the kexts I've downloaded from that russian site. I tried with kextUtility. I installed manually via terminal but none of them works... Currently I'm using VoodooHDA and it seems to be fine, but I would like to try this solution too. Thanks
  3. I just installed VoodooHDA.kext(uploaded in the previous post) using kextUtility and removed(renamed) AppleHDA.kext. After that rebooted and played a little with the volume on the input device(I have two listed under Sound in System Preferences Panel, the one working is External Microphone/Line in ). I noticed that w/o any noise the level of input signal was already very high and I thought that it will be a problem, but I tried recording with quickTime and everything was fine. Hope it helps PS: I also installed the VooDoo Pref Panel but it gives a lot of errors, I don't know if this has to be done. And another thing, the kext I've uploaded is one modified by Thyreus I think, so try use this one By the way, I used the HDAEnabler you posted in another thread and the sound worked but no mic, so I switch back to VooDooHDA...
  4. Sound is working for me with VoodooHDA.kext (the one for 64bit) installed in S/L/E But a tut on how to patch dsdt.aml for this board will help! I've attached tho kext I use in Snow Hope it helps VoodooHDA.kext.zip
  5. It is working for me(ALC882), but I have noise on the mic, even if I set the volume to minim. Anyone know a solution for this? EDIT* Never mind, is working fine! Thanks guys!
  6. I'm running it on 64bit and had no problems with any applications, so far. It is a lot faster then leo, IMO. At least Finder and Safari. And I think there is some improvements in graphics too, or maybe is just me being overenthusiastic after successful instalation
  7. Autosleep-Script

I think you have to put the script in the startup Items folder. I used it for a while, now I don't need it anymore, but I remember thar I went to System Preferences, then Users and then I added the script to my startUp items.... Hope it helps
  8. Panic Error after Update

Try replacing AppleHDA.kext with the one in 10.5.6
  9.  - P5W DH Deluxe - [SUCCESS]

Ok, I finally got the SL installed and working 100% on my system! I'll try a quick guide: Formated a HD with 2 partition: 1-SnowLeo and 2-Install I installed Chameleon 2 choosing the h EFI partition option from installer(u have to take it from the net, but I suppose u already have it) on the hd, replaced the boot file with the one from EFI 10. This is a standard procedure, I think there are lots of tutorials on how to do it. You have to know a little Terminal commands and to be careful on the disk number on which you are installing. Mounted EFI partition Put the following kexts in Extra/Extensions on the EFI partition: NullCPUPowerManagement.kext;fakeSMC.kext and OpenHaltRestart.kext. It seems I don't need others. I used DSDTPatcherGUI_1.0 for create dsdt.aml and put the dsdt.aml in Extra folder.(I'm not entirely sure this is needed). I used kextUtility to create mkext (dragged the Extension folder onto kextUtility icon). I unmounted the EFI partition (again standard Terminal commands) Now I booted the HD and on the Chameleon bootLoader I choose Install partition. Install the OS X on the SnowLeo partition and restart. After this I installed voodooHDA.kext(64bit) for sound and added EFI string in the com.apple.Boot.plist(the original one, the one in the Library/Prefences/System Configuration) That was all I will try to upload the files i used. VoodooHDA.kext.zip fakesmc.kext.zip NullCPUPowerManagement.kext.zip OpenHaltRestart.kext.zip SleepEnabler.kext.zip DSDTPatcherGUI_1.0.zip KextUtility.v2.3.2.dmg Revised___Improved_SL_install_Notes.rtf
  10. Same problem here! I have ALC882, working fine in 10.5.8. Now I can't figure out a way to make it work in Snow Leo. It is all I'm missing... Nothing worked so far. Voodoo, HDAEnabler, etc... Please help
  11. stuck at AppleIntelCPUManagement

Had the same problem on my Asus P5LD2 and I found out that it does not boot with graphic string in com.apple.Boot.plist. If I remove the strings then it boots fine and is stable, but no graphics:(
  12.  - P5W DH Deluxe - [SUCCESS]

it seems that the efi strings are wrong... I will try with other and see if it boots.... I really like how it is moving in 64 mode
  13.  - P5W DH Deluxe - [SUCCESS]

Try removing com.apple.Boot.plist from Extra folder. That solved my boot hang on the error that you mentioned. But now I.m stuck with no strings for my video. Waiting for solutions...
  14. [How to] Asus P5K-VM guide

Hi guys! After many hours and countless reboots I am at the desktop of SL What I found: If I boot with custom boot.plist system hangs on boot. So, now I'm stuck with original boot.plist(the one in Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguratin and I can't add strings for my video or my system won't boot. Anyone have similar problem? Any suggestion? My MoBo is ASUS P5LD2 and video is NVidia 7100 GS 128M Audio ALC882 Other than that... no KP, no sound(but I'm working), system looks very snappy in 64 mode, especially Safari! I'm using method with hidden EFI partition, I have only 3 kext in E/E fakeSMC, NullPowerManagement and OpenHaltRestart Thanks all!
