  1. What happened to http://osrom.net ?? Kabyl moved it? Does anyone have the new address? Or a place to find all his modded BIOSes? I know he already made the Asrock Wolfdale 1333 D667 Rev. 2.0. BIOS ver. 1.50. It's linked from a lot of sites pointing to osrom.net but the site is not up anymore. Do you know any rapidshare mirrors? Or a place to download it? Thanks in advance.
  2. Any Success on an Asus P5B?

Still waiting for root device appeared for me when i didn't install a chipset driver on Leopard (i have an Asus P5B too). I created another post regarding this motherboard. I (still) want to know if i can upgrade my current Leopard 10.5.8 install to SL 10A432 without installing on another disk.
  3. I have a perfectly working Leopard 10.5.8 install running on Asus P5B. I downloaded the 10A432 version of SL. Is it possible to upgrade directly from mounting the dmg? Or that would be plain impossible? I have a working bootable clone of my HDD made using Carbon Copy Cloner.
  4. Mac OS on an Asus

    Kalyway's 10.4.10 doesn't work in VMWare either (ASUS G1S)
  5. Mac OS on an Asus

I have an ASUS G1S ... exact same hardware, just only 15.4" screen size and i have not had ANY SUCCESS AT ALL installing Mac OSX... uphuck, Jas, Myz, 10.4.X... none of them work... The closest i have got so far is installing the latest uphuck version (10.4.9 1.4i r3) in VMWare... that's it... i guess we will have to wait til 10.4.10 which is the one that the new macbooks pro use.
  6. Im an ASUS G1S owner (Santa Rosa Chipset) uphuck 1.4i r3 is the only version that installs on VMWare... All of the previous ones failed to even boot. But the problem is... r3 wont boot from the cd to try to install it native. Plain boot gets restarted after like 4 seconds. cpus=1, -x, -v, all together, and one by one, halts on IO buffer headers error. Do we have to wait for 10.4.10? or is there something we can do about it to get 10.4.9 working?
  7. Asus G1S install problem. used 10.4.9 uphuck 1.3

I just tried 1.4i r3 on VMWare and it worked on the G1S It booted and installed without much problems, now it's time to make a clean install and see if i can get the devices to work... It's worth to mention that the audio worked out of the box checking the Azalia drivers on the installation screen. I think network devices didn't work because VMWare doesn't actually use the device itself but a virtual network bridge instead.
  8. That's another problem... you can try hitting F8 when the timer is counting down and adding "-v" to turn on verbose mode and know exactly where it halts. Then you should be able to find a solution for your problem somewhere in this forum.
  9. Use nero to burn it, however, if you open it in Windows you will only see the boot files, but the rest is there i assure you. Change in your BIOS the boot device order and set the CD/DVD first and it will boot.
  10. A lot of success installation posts... I can't believe i'm the only one who is having problems with the ACPI drivers. ASUS G1S is my system. Won't even load the installation screen because it halts at the can't find ACPI driver error. Any solutions?
  11. ASUS G1S (Santa Rosa, C2D T7500, 8600 GT, 2GB RAM, SATA 160GB) halts at: panic (cpu0 caller 0x003AB83F) : Unable to find driver this platform : "ACPI" I tried cpus=1, cpus=1 -x and nothing different happened. What may be the solution? ... BTW, there's no option in BIOS to change anything related to ACPI.
  12. Hello, I have been trying to install OSX86 on my ASUS G1S for days now with no luck, i have tried Myz10.4.4, Jas10.4.8, uphuck 10.4.9 v1.3 and now uphuck 10.4.9 v1.4i. My problem with the last release is: panic (cpu0 caller 0x003AB83F) : Unable to find driver this platform : "ACPI" I saw that you suggested downloading that file and adding it's contents to the /System/Library/Extensions folder... the problem is there is no Extensions folder there... so, do i create it? or it was supposed to be there? All i see is Extensions.kext on the Library folder... What should i do?
  13. After this comment i'm disappointed, i mean, i'm really looking forward installing OSX86 on my ASUS G1S with 8600GT and it's not supported...
  14. Asus G1S install problem. used 10.4.9 uphuck 1.3

I'm also trying to install OSX86 on a G1S. What advances have yo got so far? I haven't even been able to boot the installation cd, i'm using 10.4.8. What should i use?
