TheSin
Then post a how-to on here or at win2osx forums if you dont want to seed your build.Just help others build there own. I mostly have in a different tread for the 945g stuff. The hard part is building a good mkext, and understanding the OSIntall.mpkg. Check out the last page of Cyrana's 945g thread in Successes. Any clue what would be needed to fix some of ours? Are there files that you opted out for replacement//upgrade? Yes I built my own .pkg from the torrent version. I didn't want the extras like Growl (since I built a dist version of 1.7.2 unibin) and I didn't want SDL. mmm Trying to remember what else, I removed the kernel, since my installer already has a 10.4.2ExecPatch pkg. I think that is it, doesn't sound like anything that would affect the keychain though. I'm am currently syncing with two other machiens, a PB and dual 1Gig G4, and the syncs work fine in all directions.
zenurb
I'm not even able to install the update, installer stops half way through, some error about not being able to install because the files weren't able to be extracted.. I have plenty of disk space and the MD5 hash of the file matches everyone else I've talked to :/
williedigital
tekki, your fix didn't work for me. playing anything with sound (music, movies, etc) the sound is stuttery and static sounding. the best way to describe it is like a cd skipping. I'm on an aopen intel 915-based board. anyone have any clues?
ghw9132
has anyone tried it? does it do what deathchill's disk did when he tried it on his homebrew? that is, rebooting constantly? Tried it, (10.4.3 DVD) same result. I would think if this is a genuine dev dvd it would have an error message similar to using the 10.4.1 unpatched dvd, but it doesn't. It just reboots the system shortly after hitting enter to install.

ghw9132
I take it you are refering to the vmware install??? Maybe it is just me but i've read it a few times over and still don't understand where it tells me how to install 10.4.3. (Please elaborate on step 5) What i get out of this "HOW TO" guide is install 10.4.1 in vmware, create a 2nd hard disk, erase second hard disk, then somehow install 10.4.3 onto said hard disk. The 10.4.3 installer forces you to reboot off of the DVD? Sorry if i'm completely lost, i'm tired, confused... it is way too late. Also since the 10.4.3 kernel does not boot, wouldn't I be left with the 10.4.1 kernel and therefore a similar installation as acheived by the 10.4.3 update? EDIT: nevermind, I understand now. For some reason i thought when you said open i should show package contents. like i said, i was tired.
blkblt
The 10.4.3 update I downloaded and installed over the 10.4.1 doesn't really seem to be 10.4.3. If you read http://www.macworld.com/news/2005/10/31/10....php?lsrc=mwrss, you'll see that they say that Safari now passes ACID2. Well, the Safari I have now doesn't (try it yourself!). Also, the disk utility cannot check the boot drive as they claim as well. So it appears that the 10.4.3 x86 DVD is a prerelease, not a final, which doesn't include a lot of the features. /blkblt

This patch only contains stuff like Flash, Quicktime, some frameworks etc. The DVD should have much more

Sudar
What is part of the nam ein the torrent, I'd like a crack at trying to get it to boot. As far as some ppl say the DVD boots a near-to-real-Dev.PC normally, but just until it starts to check for USB devices (or whole hardware?) and right after that it says to reboot.. So I wonder - have anyone tried to boot up from that DVD with PS/2 keyboard and mouse w/out any usb device attached?
pixelshaders
Can't use "Get info" in right click menu in any place on mine. If I click "Get info" in finder, the window will close. And the desktop icon gone then come back(just like refresh desktop in windows). And then opens up a finder window of the 10.4.3 update install package(where I install the update). Some one have same problem like this?
