8. Type the command below and paste in the volume identifier you still have in the clipboard. Next, look for the UUID for the Local Open Directory User entry from the command above, select and copy it, then paste it to the end of the command, and run it to start the decryption process.

diskutil apfs decryptVolume /dev/<paste identifier> -user <paste uuid>

9. My computer kept going to sleep when I did this and did nothing overnight, so you can use the Caffinate command to keep it working in the background.

10. If you want to check the status, you can use ctrl-c to stop the Caffinate command and execute the command below to monitor the decryption status of the APFS volume.

diskutil apfs list

Now in macOS Tahoe Beta 2 running without FileVault that almost driving me mad...

 

Thanks to a colleague that make this possible with those commands via Recovery partition.

Did you try to toggle on or off WEG at each individual boot step? i.e.: Step 1 WEG on, Step 2 WEG off, Step 3 WEG on, or vice versa... If this does not work try to change to SMBIOS macPro 7,1.

Hi @Takiller , as I said, it's hard to explain. On the Lenovo Thinderbolt 3, it's not "easy" to get Thunderbolt to reach the real speed, but it comes close to the maximum of the Super SS USB-C. So on the original Thunderbolt port it will reach the speed of 5gbps, and on the USB-C, the Thunderbolt connected to it will reach 10gbps. I'm not going to detail the situation because it would be necessary to analyze your hardware and that takes days and maybe months. It's necessary to make two kexts like I did, and choose the ports and "trick" MacOS. Without a USB kext that gives the path, it's no use, because this can only happen on desktops or Thunderbolt 4. At least for months and months I only got the best. There are several SSDTs, I'll list the main ones, but they're all interconnected. After that, you'll have to search GitHub for people who actually got Thunderbolt. I don't think it's possible on Laptops.

 

Need blocks some kexts without that not boot for install, plugged etc...

 

 

 

Need some patched for battery life and Sleep perfect with S3 Deep Sleep working fine and wake all. 

 

 

 

I have ACASIS Thunderbolt 4 and my model boot like is it real on my reals Mac, but need patch Device Plists. 

 

My port on Lenovo is Thunderbolt 3. 

 

So need mix two kexts to read in separates.

Need kexts to control energy too 

 

 

And Kexts for mapping separated XHCIs

 

 

 

It's all wath I explain because you need "know" your hardware and create some SSDTS.

Much appreciated, as I at least now have some direction and will give it a go. There's a guy called profzei, who made it possible for me to be able to enjoy Hackintosh on my matebook x pro 2018, he apparently got full thunderbolt 3 working natively and that was unfortunately after he got pissed off by someone and decided to no longer share his EFIs nor his ideas with us.

Hi @eSaF  Beta 2 Clean Install with an RX580 Graphic Card as main Video connector, with WEG enabled: It's possible, I do it using @Mirone Lilu.kext (to solve Collection UUID Kcs issue).  My SMBIOS is iMac20,1. I disable SecureBootModel and  Disable SecurityPolicy=TRUE.

As lot of hackintoshers, I'm waiting new OCLP to root patch my Fenvi T919 (Broadcom card).

@Anto65 Is it possible to apply root patch from actual OCLP version (for modern wireless) despite Tahoe version is not yet there.

I installed 2 times already Tahoe beta 2 in a a fresh usb install pen, with rx 570 enabled.

The result is ok, the only things missing is internet, sound and wifi.

But it works

Hard to believe that he make it TBH works natively (in terms of velocity)  but who am i to judge him! I hope you got it !!

After repeated trial and errors at last my Ryzen 1700X hackintosh can boot TaHoe beta 2 now, but it's quite unstable !

Audio output from HDMI of RX580 is working, however Finder and Firefox are unstable for daily use !

There should be beautiful purple stripes, a black screen, and after a couple of seconds an apple with loading progress))) I think you need to configure the port on which your monitor is, you can see this in ioreg.

The EFI Folder that did the trick is an generic EFI folder for CoffeeLake, from Olaria.

It's the only one that is capable of install it, from start to finish.

I used the EFI as it is, with all the original kexts, drivers, DSDT.

I don't know if I can share it here.

In the first stage, right after formatting the disk and telling it to install, it got "stuck" for 16 to 18 minutes, and after 75 minutes it advances, restarts and proceeds with the installation normally.

 

I tested and had this behavior in 6 different setups.

 

If I install Beta 2 via Online Recovery this no longer happens...
