[pre-release] macOS Tahoe

Hi all, Til now no one told us how they make Tahoe works like(what is the changes from Sequoia EFI kext files) and what to change for Z790 gigabyte elite X  or what ACPI files are recommended and what to disable and how to do Bios settings. all what most of you were showing that they make Tahoe working ... Please guys there is ppl that are dying to install Tahoe but they are having difficulty with installation or the  installation freeze on the second boot or kernel panic and so on. will you please helping other members who needed help as I know that forum is for help and discussion.

Yeah, I mistakenly using English UK as Default Language instead of US, so.. it became "Bin" not "Trash" #LoL 🤣

We are moving forward but slowly https://github.com/corpnewt/USBMap/tree/tahoe-test I have used this to create the USB port mapping USBPorts.kext together with SSDT-UIAC.aml it seems to work perfectly keeping the same port mapping that I had using USBInjectAll.kext I have always hated this kext I have verified that the USB3.0 kexts are mounted at their speed but it does not happen with Tahoe

There is really no need to generate a new USBPorts.kext via USBMap/tree/tahoe-test. The only difference between the new and the old kext is in the two settings lines in info.plist for each port. This can be easily done manually.

Opencore is updated to latest commit, all kexts are also updated (from Insanely Mac user, I don't remember his name). You must disabled or delete some specifics items like SSDT for example. I use a custom SSDT for my Gigabyte Aorus Master USB ports, I don't use Intel UHD 630.

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately it didn't work though I worked on it. I think I must wait till I find one that works. It has just begun after all.

And, as illustrated, the kext can have both port/UsbConnector and usb-port-number/usb-port-type entries to work with any macOS version—just like a kext could have duplicate entries with different SMBIOS (e.g. iMacPro1,1 / MacPro7,1). Correct?

I didn't research this, but only showed an alternative to making a kext for macOS Tahoe.

It's a funny story with this operating system now..

After I activated the Intel HD 630 Graphics with Plattorm ID is 3E9B0007,

and completed the installation normally, the moment I go to see the welcome screen,

it stops at a white screen with the cursor activated..

I may be laughing but I'm also annoyed. lol 😇😜

While my USB port mapping is still broken, I can gladly report that all my ports are working including web cam and Intel bluetooth. Teaho is cute though guys I must admit and it will be a great reminder of the hackintosh era. It is so colorful, refreshing and makes me feel so young at heart 🤪. The music app revamp is so funky and this update for me is worth it 🫡

Remember that the first Mac Pro 2019 was equipped with Radeon Pro 580X

It still doesn't work well but it enters the system and I can do something but suddenly the screen goes black using the kext WhateverGreen.kext 1.7.0 plus revpatch=sbvmm -lilubetaall -alcbeta -wegbeta But this is a very good sign

So...everything went fine for you? What were the steps you took before you upgrade? Did you install Tahoe from a USB drive, or started the installation from Sequoia and continued on the SSD itself?

I'm so confused right now. Cause I don't understand why I can't boot into the installer. Keeps restarting. I thought it was because of my RX 580. Now I'm not so sure anymore.

 

Any chance you can share your EFI folder (without SMBIOS or other sensitive information)?

Estoy muy confundido ahora mismo. No entiendo por qué no puedo iniciar el instalador. Se reinicia constantemente. Pensé que era por mi RX 580. Ahora ya no estoy tan seguro.

Download the version of the kext that is now available and that's it, but for example on the OLD: Radeon RX560 it doesn't work correctly, but after a while it runs out of monitor and stops working, but we're on the right track.

The RX460 works normally after entering the system, but opening the emulator will cause the system to black out and the window to draw incorrectly. Restarting again will result in a black screen upon entering, so we still need to wait for the WhateverGreen driver update
