So I managed to get a screenshot (video actually, but I don't think there's any point of uploading all of that, since you can't really tell anything from it) of the log that's flying by every time I try to boot into the installer (still can't by the way).

The last thing that I can see before the system is ordered to shut down is this line:

IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0xe0000255

Which, after some googling, seems to point to my iGPU (HD4600).image.thumb.png.2abb9cd2842ea6e13ce4a0f26f20d2ba.png

I'm not sure if the crash happens above that, or if the iGPU is the culprit. So far, I couldn't get it to boot into the installer. Keeps restarting after this point.

Currently, it starts the installation, shows 9 minutes left with the apple bar then finishes and loads back into Sequoia 15.5 - I don't get it. I cannot do a fresh install because that method does not work with the Z890 ProArt so the only way I can upgrade is via the settings menu.

It's crashing before the messages in this photo.  If you notice at the top of the photo, it says "Killing all processes". That's what you normally see when the computer crashes or restarts.  Try to capture what was going on before that.

Yeah...I'll try taking a slo-mo video or something. Otherwise there's no way I can tell what's going on in there. It's scrolling way too fast.

Just a little bit of levity to release the 'Tahoe Frustration'.

How many of you guys here are pulling a 'Sickie' from work to get this thing running? :hysterical:

I dare say like most oldies here, I am retired with loads of time on hand and still can't install it.

At the moment downloading and building yet another USB Installer.

Not me. But luckily I'm working from home, so I can do both. :D

I wanted to book sick but too much on at work. I also still can't get it to install. Gonna give up till the weekend then work on it from Friday afternoon till Sunday till it's working. Will keep reading on here for tips and hints.

Ok newly built USB Installer and this is the result!!!!

What more can this frustrated man do to overcome this.? :wallbash:

EFI.zip 5.04 MB · 1 download IMG_1396.HEIC 3.1 MB · 2 downloads

This is similar to what I get when trying to boot from USB. If I try to boot from SSD (after starting the installation on Sequoia), I get a reboot.

But yesterday night I tried to create a new USB drive from scratch, and it's getting stuck pretty much at the same point yours does.

If Tahoe (or The Hoe as I like to call it :)) ) has some issues with USB...those might need to be fixed first.

Give it some time, sometimes it stalls for a bit and then goes forward.

I don't see the SSDT-UIAC.aml @Anto65 made for you, add that and try again.

That's too bad, so for some reason the upgrade won't complete!

Thanks guys, I've slowly realized that you're absolutely right (as AI says) and SSDTs are on the rise, I got the USB ports, they recognized my Thunderbolt ACASIS, Bluetooth, but I think the OC configuration is still blocking IntelMausi.kext, I don't know if anyone has managed it. I'm recognizing the Yoga, the fans, the processors, sleep top too much, it shows more than 4 hours of battery life. I'm going to study it more in depth, and since it's already late, I'm going to sleep. I thank all of you, especially for the tips. @kidooe @Cyberdevs @Anto65 and all of you, the best of the World.

My EFI if someone need try use for tests

EFI OC TAHOE T14.zip
