Does InsanelyMac have a Hall of Fame?

I was fortunate to stumble upon a thread that had Rehabman, Slice and others contributing to the same issue and I realized how amazing it is that we have and have had people like that who should be in the Hall of Fame of hacking.  I just listed two names that I saw, so there are many others.  Does InsanelyMac have a "Hall of Fame" that recognizes individuals like this?  Just a thought.  Maybe there could be user nominations and voting.  I have my favorites who inspired me and I'm sure others do, too.

I second that! Other notable names to be included, if the idea falls into place: Vitaly Cheptsov, Marvin Häuser (Download-Fritz), Laura Müller (Mieze) and Hackintool's headkaze as well.

Real gurus/experts are known, their past or active profiles reflect that and they usually don't seek fame, that's not the spirit of the community, at least it wasn't.

Absolutely!!! Unsung heroes usually shy away from such adulation and just quietly get on with the Betterment for others and not necessarily them selves.

Clearly a half-baked idea to which I should have given more thought.  I formally withdrawal my nominations, but would be remiss if I didn't mention that Herve and eSaF were #1 and #2 on my list.

I keep a list that I have been making for years with my favourite hackintosh gurus and... it has 84 names! And I'm sure names are missing.

Of course not everyone has contributed with contributions of the same importance but everyone on my list has brought code, solutions, new things and have shown to have more skills than most of us who have benefited from it.

Probably @Hervé is right although I would like to pay tribute to all of them but they already know who they are.

So, anonymously... thank you all!!!

A hall of fame is usually means posthumous fame? I am alive.

Can be either, and we are very fortunate and glad that you are still alive!

@Slice I did some research and found that living people inducted into a hall of fame have always died within 100 years after their induction.  With such a strong correlation, I'm not sure why anyone would want to be inducted into a Hall of Fame.  Another reason that I'm withdrawing my nominations.

Hey guys, let's just have some fun ok? Some posts was edited and others deleted

As most here are adults, I don't think it's necessary to have a babysitter always reading all the posts. 😉

Although it is flattering to receive praise and recognition for ones work or good deeds, I believe most if not all Persons/Devs do not need or seek to be categorised. These people do it for the love of the hack community and the challenge of making a Windows machine run OS X as good as a genuine Mac machine. Hopefully we are all in agreement on that score and can finally put the whole 'Hall of Fame' subject to bed even though it was thought of in good faith.

@Cyberdevs

Pike R. Alpha, some said he was four people in one, I personally can't say anything, it was a much discussed subject here and generated a lot of confusion in the past, search the forum and you should find something despite all this he contributed a lot for Hackintosh scene, although some may disagree with this.

Oh I do remember him and I do agree with that statement. He was the Swiss Army knife of the Hackintosh scene and defiantly much much more!

No -1 @netkas No -2 @Slice No -3 @THe KiNG No -4 @Zenith432 No -5 @kabil No -6 @ErmaC  No -7 @JrCs No -8 @meklort  No -9 @nawcom No -10 @RehabMan No -11 @vit9696 No -12 @blackosx

Without these guys there would have been no Hackintosh, no Chameleon, no Clover and no OpenCore. Many of them have been a great inspiration to me.

I could make a list of 50 but I stopped there. You can also reverse the order of my choices but I don't think I'm wrong about the TOP 12

@LockDownO que faz você pensar isso? Alguém em algum lugar mencionou isso?

Hello Ramiro @Mirone, my brother, I just have this feeling about Rehabman, he loved teaching us about Hack more than anyone else. But God grant that he is rich and well moving away from the DSDT teachings...I hope so!!

The fact that Rehabman suddenly disappeared and abandoned all his projects is not really like him because he was a very meticulous man and cared very much about everything he had created.

So we have to believe that something serious happened so that he didn't give any sign of life to anyone.
