I updated to beta 4 with no problems and I have no problems during the day when I am using my laptop.  But I close my lid and let the laptop go to sleep at night and when I wake up in the morning, it has rebooted due to a KP.  The KP is related to something called diagnosticid.  Any thoughts about the cause, other than that it's a beta version of macOS?

EDIT:  Problem solved.  It was unrelated to macOS 12.3 beta 4.  I was dealing with an issue where OpenCore did not accurately report my CPU Frequency and tested out VoodooTSCSync.  I didn't realize it but it and Lilu were installed to L/E rather than OpenCore/kexts.  I failed to uninstall it when it did not solve my problem and that was what was causing my kp's during sleep.  Once I deleted those kexts from L/E, the problem went away.

Forgive me if I interpreted his last post incorrectly but as I understood it, he stated he didn't ask for anything but just posting. That aside I hope your post helps him out of his black screen problem.

Just relax, man. I am aware that my first post was missing information. I was just, en passant, describing what happened here and didn't have time to investigate further.

Trust me bro I am totally relaxed, I have left the hustle and bustle of day to day life many moons ago and now happily sipping on the last dregs of the summer wine.

While you are sipping the wine, eSaF have you tried the universal control features of 12.3?

Updated to 12.3 Beta (21E5227a) on my Intel 4770K hackintosh. All is good, seems Chrome issues are gone now.

For legacy OpenCore booting hackintoshs it still need set csr-active-config/Data/00000000 otherwise Firefox or Google Chrome got frozen on open.

SavageAUS There have been some strange bugs with the 12.3 beta for a few people. I seen this on the first beta but only on the login screen with the default image. GPU performance seems to have taken a hit also.

The shape goes away if I use a custom wallpaper, comes back with stock wallpapers.
Biggest problem I have is being stuck at 60hz.
I am creating a time machine backup now then I’ll try changing refresh rate.

Hey guys, how do I boot into safe mode with OpenCore? I tried changing my refresh rate and got black screen. I have enablesafemodeslide true, pollapplehotkeys true and takeoffdelay at 5000 but using ctrl + x at the picker doesn’t work.

It works (for me) Shift + Enter, it is highlighted on login
"Safe Boot"

From pdf

• CMD+C+MINUS — disable board compatibility checking.
• CMD+K — boot release kernel, similar to kcsuffix=release.
• CMD+S — single user mode.
• CMD+S+MINUS — disable KASLR slide, requires disabled SIP.
• CMD+V — verbose mode.
Shift+Enter, Shift+Index — safe mode, may be used in combination with CTRL+Enter, CTRL+Index.

Maybe i have something wrong / set to false that should be true in config.

Do you have a source for setting config up for safe mode?

I did how ever manage to remote in and change the refresh rate which solved the issue.
