I’m just doing a fresh install of 12.2 then I was going to test it.

I can confirm that it worked in my Z97 and Ryzen 1700X hackintoshs at 12.3 beta.

For anyone following along i just booted using OpenCore and all is fine, all apps work.

So it has to be a problem with my Clover config.

Archive.zip 10.87 kB · 11 downloads

In a follow up to this i have reinstalled 12.2 and all apps are working fine with Clover 5144.

I am now downloading 12.3 B1 to test but i have a time machine backup this time if anything goes wrong.

BTW can you fix VoodooTscSync.kext or CpuTscSync.kext to be working at Monterey because I found that you have the skill and experience to modify AppleIGB.kext well.

I tested the kext VoodooTscSync in monterey 12.3b1

Screenshot 2022-02-06 at 11.48.37.png

It works but I not need it so I don't know the result.

First start the system say

Quote

Extension with identifiers org.voodoo.driver.VoodooTSCSync not approved to load. Please approve using System Preferences.

I did this.

Next boot I look into kernel.log and saw success

Quote

kernel: (Contents\MacOS\VoodooTSCSync) VoodooTSCSync: Current tsc from rdtsc64() is 33065177130057. Rendezvouing..

These kext attached.

The project is forked to our git. VoodooTSCSync

VoodooTSCSync.kext.zip VoodooTSCSyncAMD.kext.zip

See also its Info.plist. There you should set VirtualNumberIfCores-1.

So for my I5 I set 3Screenshot 2022-02-06 at 12.03.48.png

Thanks for your prompt reply and help.

In my Acer Veriton M4610 hackintosh it need VoodooTscSync.kext to boot for CPU i3-2120 (2C4T).

This new one can boot Big Sur (11.6.4), but it will reboot at Monterey 12.3beta.

I have set Number to 3.

If it was set to 1, I'll get KP during booting of Monterey.

Can you catch the crash.log? I will to analyse why the KP.

Do you need Number=1 KP crash report or Number=3 automatic reboot report ?

This is Sandy Bridge i3-2120. AFAIK never affected by TSC errors.

May be your problem lays somewhere else? For example VirtualSMC.

And I see you want to boot 12.3 which doesn't support Sandy Bridge as well as Keplers. So you have to make double workarounds to boot such a system.

Post-installation by GeoForce Kepler Patch can fix GT-730 graphics at Monterey without any issue.

Booted by FakeSMC (3.5.0) still got reboot issue as before by VirtualSMC.

Do you think it's the specific issue for Sandy Bridge only ?

At present I must booted with cpus=1 to login desktop.

It will be better you show kernel log corresponding to panic.

Also exclude FSInject and AudioDxe. You may live without both.

Thanks and I need take a break now.

Both FSInject & AudioDxe were deleted.

In my Z97 hackintosh only Safari works now.

The other browsers such as Firefox and Google Chrome hanged at 12.3 beta, but working at 12.2(21D49).

Is that with Clover?
That’s what was happening to me with Chrome, Logitech ghub and GitHub Desktop.
Switching to OC solved it.
