Upgraded my Z390  build from Monterey preview to beta 2 without any problems.

Except that Finder shows up my Windows internal drive (Gray icon) on the desktop despite Preferences settings (
external only).

Is it only me or is it a bug !

I have the same problem and I solve it by installing Tuxera 2020.1 and replacing Windows HD icon with another one. Without Tuxera you cannot replace the HD icon. It work for me.

VoodooTSCSync need for my system on big sur otherwise my laptop is slowdown from sleep after wake

How to similar laptop i think you are using skylake cpu

When i put to sleep my laptop then doesn't wake anymore until i force restart on macOS 12 just stuck black screen but cpu running during wake the screen is not come

I have a Kabylake-R system.  So I have an 8000 series cpu but UHD620 gpu.

Yes, KP on wake from sleep is from no TSC sync. From what I have read, VoodooTSCSync does not work with Monterey.  You may need to wait for an updated kext.

Did you try using TSCAdjustReset?  I was curious if it would work for you because it approaches the TSC no-sync problem differently than VoodooTSCSync.

Also, regarding @Hervé's comment, you might try to remove VoodooTSCSync from your laptop and get wake from sleep to work in Catalina without the TSCSync kext.  Do you have full XCPM function? I do, and I think that may be why I don't need a TSCSync kext.

Thanks guys for replying

I just have to wait for next beta of macOS 12

I used all three these kexts voodootsc  tscadjust cputscsync  no luck

I don't know better why we need these kexts i think that kext need after wake from sleep for

disabling xcpm_urgency if TSC is not in sync. It should solve some kernel panics after wake.

soory for my poor english

Explained here

Thanks :) It's not a icon problem for my Windows HDD. Monterey shows up the hard disk despite Preference/settings: no hard disk on desktop. As some users, I think it's a bug in Beta 2.

All quiet on the Monterey front, I take it everyone is happy with their install with no more headaches...........until the next update. :D

I failed to get Monterey Working on my Asus B560_f Rocket Lake and ended up installed my Asus Z370-P board back. Update went smooth with Coffee Lake and everything works as it should like in Bog Sur. Will stick with this board till my new Z490 Vision D board arrives.

Not really, still waiting for patches AMD for CLOVER for Beta 1 and Beta 2 patches in general and my Intel Ethernet (as posted above) doesn’t work with Monterey on my desktop.

To me something more to fix:

1. VoodooTSCSyncAMD.kext

2.SmallTreeIntel82576.kext

3. FakePCIID.kext

4. ApplePCIIDE.kext

5. Firefox still crash in patched HD4000 hackintosh

Please report on GitHub for SmallTreeIntel82576 so they can start looking at it. Myself and@audiogod have already reported it.

Have you tried this kext from Dortania - https://github.com/dortania/build-repo/releases - (attached)?

Thanks! That got it working again. I don't use BT all that much so it was low-priority but nice to have it fixed now.

I noticed that with this I can turn BT off now. That never worked before. However, if I do, I have to reboot to turn it back on again.

In any case, I'm not likely to turn it off again, just did it out of curiosity.

Following this Discussion https://github.com/dortania/bugtracker/issues/213, I managed to get the I225-V Controller working on my Z490 Vision G Board in Monterey beta2… kinda… I had to manually assign the IP and set the Hardware manually to Speed 100baseTX, FullDuplex, Flow Control. Network Settings says, Ethernet is connected, but I cant get online. I get an no connection error Message in Safari. Anybody having an idea how to fix that?

Finally got around to doing a fresh install of Monterey on my T480 hackintosh. (…)upgrading to beta 2 required the latest build of OC and SecureBootModel set to Disabled instead of Default.

I should had figured that, when the second install stage was cycling over and over and over with the secure image files… could had saved me from a few fresh installs :)

So finally got Monterey Beta 2 running on my Rocketlake 500 series mobo but with 2 issues so far. Ethernet issues with the i225-V is that I cannot have this kext in the config and cannot have the network cable plugged into the port-it cause the machine to freeze up after a few seconds to minutes of booting into the OS,  also the wifi does not work. I have tried numerous tests but network and wifi is a no go. Bluetooth actually works,  using internet via a edimax usb dongle for now.

Hello to all, Everything is working on my hack but airplay, i have to use the wifi kext AirportItlwm.kext as i have intel wifi card, is there any other way i can use airplay without this kext, as it causes testing logs and a delay in the booting time, + wifi is not working, Os is Monterey

If you've got Wifi Intel AC-3160 (macOS incompatible):   AirportItlwm.kext is necessary. But I don't know if this kext is now compatible with Monterey. Don't forget: it is experimental, developer says.
