Here's v0.2 of the font script ocFontFileGenerator

Credits:

dpfb from https://github.com/usr-sse2/dpfontbaker

FNTTools from https://github.com/AuroraBertaOldham/FNTTools/releases/tag/v1.0

Usage:

1 - Place Truetype (.ttf) font files in the 'TrueTypeFontToProcess' directory

2 - Double click the ocFontFileGenerator.command

3 - Resulting font files will be in the 'ProcessedFonts' directory

It's archived as .lzma which you can uncompress using something like cvad's LZMAnoGUI64 for example.

ocFontFileGenerator_v0.2.tar.lzma 10.23 MB · 39 downloads

Note: From memory, I believe not all fonts will successfully convert due to their lineheight at a given font size.

Is it possible to create fonts that are not English, such as Chinese fonts, and display them on OpenCanopy?

Cant figure out why this does not work. Is there a newer version of the files? On 0.8.2.... these are the files I have and all I come up with is :  00:000 00:000 OCUI: Failed to load images for Acidanthera\GoldenGate
00:045 00:045 OC: External interface failure, fallback to builtin - Unsupported

Resources.zip config.plist.zip

I shop here: https://github.com/acidanthera/OcBinaryData

We have 2 ways to assign a value to PickerVariant:

Predefined aliases:
- Default: Automatically select Acidanthera\GoldenGate.
- Auto: Automatically select one set of icons based on the Default Background colour: Acidanthera\GoldenGate for Black and Acidanthera\Chardonnay for Light Gray.

Icons sets included into its own folder (as mentioned above), writing the value Creator\Set in PickerVariant

Do you try Predefined aliases.

That did not do it. Got it working once with a different folder besides acidanthera. Don't remember or saw the settings just put the path in pickervariant. Now that does not work.

Off topic but relates- I don't know why the file structure gets corrupt on the efi. Copying over an EFI to replace another then checking the disk on disk first aid. Go in terminal and preform diskutil repairvolume diskxs1. Then you do the copy again and the same thing happens.

How can hide opencore version text in bottom right?

Look at Misc >> Security >> ExposeSensitiveData in the Configuration.pdf of OpenCore package, there is the fix:  Expose the OpenCore version in the OpenCore picker menu title.

Give it a value of 2.

@chris1111 Thanks for making the Linux Distribution Logos. I notice you added Ubuntu, including different Ubuntu flavors but I didn't see Ubuntu Studio flavor/variant. Can you please include all Ubuntu flavors/variants so I and others can use the Ubuntu Studio Logo. In case you don't have time, I still thank you for all your contribution with the different boot-loader themes and icons. Wonderful work. Congrats and Cheers.

Hi guys,

In my boot of open core there is only text, after I attempted to change the theme at boot no matter what I do the result is the same, text at boot.

My config.plist is as seen in the images below.

Anyone could help me?

Thanks

Slash is reversed. Try to write  "My-Theme\Apple13" instead of  "My-Theme/Apple13"

Look at the Name key, it has Open Shell as string, it must be UEFI Shell.

Comment key can be empty and Path key must be OpenShell.efi, as in your code.

When time allows I'll generate other sets using different colours for the glows and different mobo logos.

See below post for previews and download links

Would you make icon for Pop!OS and ChromeOS same this design language please? thank

This is what we have to study.
It's from OpenCore configuration PDF.

===========================

Predefined labels are put to \EFI\OC\Resources\Label directory. Each label has .lbl or .l2x suffix to represent the scaling level. Full list of labels is provided below. All labels are mandatory.

  • EFIBoot — Generic OS.
  • Apple — Apple OS.
  • AppleRecv — Apple Recovery OS.
  • AppleTM — Apple Time Machine.
  • Windows — Windows.
  • Other — Custom entry (see Entries).
  • ResetNVRAM — Reset NVRAM system action or tool.
  • Shell — Entry with UEFI Shell name (e.g. OpenShell).
  • Tool — Any other tool.

Note: All labels must have a height of exactly 12 px. There is no limit for their width.

Label and icon generation can be performed with bundled utilities: disklabel and icnspack. Font is Helvetica 12 pt times scale factor.

Font format corresponds to AngelCode binary BMF. While there are many utilities to generate font files, currently it is recommended to use dpFontBaker to generate bitmap font (using CoreText produces best results) and fonverter to export it to binary format.

If that, all custom entries will has same icon? cant custom seperate?
