Sad OC aims to be as Mac like as possible so a default black is the natural choice. The recent introduction of allowing a background image changes this but many OC users won't use it, or won't even use OpenCanopy at all. 6 minutes ago, luky35 said: It works fine for me now. Mirone
11 hours ago, blackosx said: @Mirone The issue is you are missing the new scroll icons; Left.icns and Right.icns from your Image dir. You can get them from OCBinaryData until I get round to making some. You're right, I didn't pay attention to this. I'll try it as soon as I get home and let you know the result. Edit: Working like a charm! 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/344251-opencanopy-icons/page/9/#findComment-2749169 Share on other sites

blackosx
OpenCanopyIconsSetBuilder I've created a bash script to help with generating icon sets from the OpenCanopyIcons repo. At v0.1, it's early days and only works with Set3 at the moment but it's working. And of the many icons on the repo, it currently only downloads one style. You tell it which colour icon set you want, and if you want a background then you can choose which colour and size to match for display resolution. It then downloads each file and renames it as expected by OpenCanopy. Left and Right icons are now available for Set3. Updated to v0.1.1 - Run Curl commands in parallel - Accept uppercase or lowercase Yy or Nn - Give option for white or gold external devices Updated to v0.1.2 - Include Left and Right scroll icons - Give option for internal device type - Rename output dir to be more descriptive Download can be found in opening post of this topic Edited January 22, 2021 by blackosx 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/344251-opencanopy-icons/page/9/#findComment-2749209 Share on other sites

blackosx
I've been playing with the lighting of Set3 icons and have created RedGlow with ROG logo on the background. When time allows I'll generate other sets using different colours for the glows and different mobo logos. blackosx
I've expanded the LE sets to include: BlueGlow with backgrounds for ASUS, GIGABYTE and HP And GreenGlow with backgrounds for ACER and ASROCK. EDIT: Before anyone asks, you will need to select the background image that matches the resolution that OpenCanopy uses on your system, rename it Background.icns and move it in with the other images. pkdesign
I've been looking but can’t find. What size do I create background images? Or is it the size of what I want use? And it is limited to 144dpi? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/344251-opencanopy-icons/page/9/#findComment-2750175 Share on other sites
blackosx
Hey @pkdesign Don’t worry about dpi. If you need to set a dpi to satisfy the software then I always use 72dpi just because I always have for screen resolutions, though some use 96dpi these days. But it’s irrelevant for this purpose as all we care about is the pixel width and height. All you need to do is design your image at twice the target pixel dimensions for 2x scale, and actual size for 1x scale. So if you want to generate a .icns file for a 1920x1080 display then create an image at 3840x2160 and run it through @chris1111 icon builder app. Edited February 4, 2021 by blackosx Attempt to paste as plain text? blackosx
Hey @eSaF No problem, and I agree, that logo is pretty faint. It’s simple enough for me to recreate that background with a stronger logo. Next time I’m on my desktop machine I’ll do it and update the files in the repo. 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/344251-opencanopy-icons/page/9/#findComment-2750418 Share on other sites
