Nothing. Unplugs and plugs again... "Monitor is going to sleep". Also have the boot arg -disablegfxfirmware on.

L. E. It works if I turn the monitor off and then on. Waiting impatiently for updates (WEG, LILU, Clover patches.) Thank you.

I think its yet another bug in macOS itself. My Retina MBP is affected by this as well. If I boot with HDMI attached all I get is a black screen. Replugging the screen gets me a picture. Annoying...

Hi @Hervé @telepati and all users

Since update 10.15.4 on my Z390 Aorus Master, I have a problem force eject at wake up: for test, I use a Install USB drive.

  • Clover latest commit: USB drive mount less than 2second at wake up
  • Opencore latest commit: USB drive keep unmount at wake up

The problem occurs with USB devices.

USB Legacy Mode disable in BIOS, don't work.

Any ideas! Please

See if you need to unplug and replug the HDMI after the system enters sleep. I need to turn monitor off and on.

@Hervé@Sherlocks I added the information today here https://github.com/acidanthera/bugtracker/issues/765 for the people, this is not an RTC problem. But looks like this is an RTC problem.  vit9696 adds a piece of information and with my knowledge, I don't understand anything. Maybe you too guys understand better than me.

on the Aorus Pro I solved this issue by setting darkwake=0

Thanks for sharing @WizeMan This morning, I will try both darwake=0 and fixSleepImage.

Thanks @telepati to ask this sharing.

One question: what is the normal behavior at wake up for macOS: apple login screen or finder desktop? I don't remember? Please.

I report later.

EDIT: It works (I hope). After EFI update, I've to fix SleepImage again??? Do you know why!  I double check.

I upgraded my HackPro5,1 from 10.15.3 to 10.15.4 and am also seeing the CMOS reset problem at shutdown.  This problem also happened during the 10.15.4 install (I upgraded using a vanilla 10.15.4 USB installer), so I had to restore my BIOS after each installer reboot.  My system is as follows:

  • Socket 1156 Biostar TH55HD, Xeon X3460, 16GB DDR3 RAM
  • Clover (Legacy) r5107 (SMBIOS MacModel MacPro5,1; boot flag: -no_compat_check)
  • Sapphire Pulse RX580

My system triple boots 10.13.6, 10.14.6 and 10.15.4 with same EFI.  I didn't see this at all in 10.15.3 and only see it now in 10.15.4.

-> Fail. But I as I said before, at this stage I too believe it's not related to AppleRTC kext.
i too know. just consider 1 case that vit mentioned i github.

i don't have rtc issue on my machines. i don't have chance to trace problem.

we need to wait 10.15.5 new beta1. and will see result.
