My SkyLake rig is a desktop and weird thing is that it won't boot with the fake cpu id either!!!!

@CMMChris

For Coffee Lake

I'm not sure, but I think you should try this

Cpuid1Data   data    9E060900 00000000 00000000 00000000

Cpuid1Mask  data    FFFFFFFF 00000000 00000000 00000000

Tried with my OpenCore config, no luck unfortunately.

Here is a table on processors, you may find a substitution.

Sorry, the first should be E9.
Forgot to turn over.

No luck. Looks like the issue isn't directly related to the processor. I know some people who have been able to install Beta 6 using an i7-8700K. This issue is really strange and the cause kind of impossible to nail down. There is no obvious pattern that I can see.

yes. very strange. we need to wait next update. and check result

anyway in my case, skylake i7-6500u procesor can boot with broadwell-h fakecpu id. now i'm using beta6 without problem.

installed without any problem on my Z370 hack with 8700K and VEGA56 Clover 5105 memory manager OCQuirks rev. 19

I also use OCQuirks, but the problem occurs with AptioMemoryFix as well. So far, it seems most of the issues revolve around Skylake chips - I haven't seen one successful update on 6xxx CPUs so far, only on kaby lake + later generations. I haven't tried spoofing a Broadwell CPUID yet - I fear it would break my perfectly working power management on my laptop.

Thanks @Sherlocks for the tip with the Kabylake CPU Intel i5 -7600 to use the Broadwell FakeCPUID ... FULL SUCCESS !!!

I was able to continue with the 2nd phase of 10.15.4 Beta6 and successfully finish it.

Why did Apple put it this way? why does the processor now have to run as Broadwell even though it is a Kabylake .. who knows details about that?

So I have in the Clover 5106 (it will probably also work in earlier versions like 5103), I will test later, this only manually

with textedit (like earlier from old school, do not need a Clover Configurator!):

<key> KernelAndKextPatches </key>
<dict>
<key>FakeCPUID</key>
<string>0x040674</string>

  und another Standard Options continue here
<key>AppleIntelCPUPM</key>
<false />

My Hacki is an MSI B250 Mortar Board with i5-7600 CPU

Just tested with earlier Clover 5103 works just as well with the entry of the FakeCPUID.

I still have a 2nd Hacki with Skylake i5-6600 and MSI H110 ECO motherboard, my question, does anyone know what you

can use for a fakeCPUID so that this 2nd Hacki boots Beta 6 again and the Beta6 is then full can install?

Thanks for tips.

UPDATE: Also runs with the same FakeCPUID on my 2nd Hacki with Intel i5-6600K. Is probably a universal fakeCPUID - :)

@CMMChris: CPU Fake ID 0x040674 worked for me, Beta 6 running on i5-9600K :)

@Chris1111: Thanks for the voodooHDA 2.9.2.V15 release, finally got audio working properly (ALC 1220-VB)
