I want to get an iPhone and make a switch back to iOS from many years of Android, I was wondering, those of you who own an iPhone, does everything working fine between your iPhone and your Hackintosh? Airdrop, bluetooth pairing etc.?

Thanks!

Works 100% perfectly!

I think, besides Ventura, we might have at least one more major OS version support, but I believe that gradually there will be less features available for Intel macs, therefore might be as well the update to a new OS be pointless if half of the features wont be supported. My machine has some juice left, it's quite fine, I can edit 4k videos with ease and anything I do is fast, when it comes a time where I'll ned to upgrade my PC, I most likely will switch to a real mac, my current NVMe drives will be moved to an external case and I also might place my GPU to an external host to use it as an external GPU for some dedicated work, I think there are some cases where you can plug a GPU and use it via thunderbolt with a mac as an external CPU, the rest of my PC might be converted to a local home server and replace an old Toshiba laptop that I have now acting as a private home server :D so... no e-waste :D

Oh dear, I am hoping I have better luck as the 10th Gen CPU (Comet/Coffee Lake) is supported by Apple because at the moment with this 11th Gen i7 CPU (Rocket Lake - unsupported) is like having a Ferrari and just unable to at least break the speed limit just once.

Well it was a long time ago that tried Open Core & MacOS on my NUC so things maybe a lot better now so I think you should be fine.

hi friends,

anyone else here who is still suffering from bluetooth not working after wake from sleep  ?

one solution was/is to downgrade memory to speed 2666 MHz

A switch to MacPro7,1 SMB seems to fix it else. Memory back to 3200MHz

Take care of USB mapping kext or better go for SSDT mapping before changing your SMB !!!

Edit:  Resolved.  Finally figured out which button to press in OC Auxiliary Tools. :D

So, I'm finally upgrading from Clover to OC as I'm planning to finally move to Big Sur.

The only problem is, I didn't have an MLB value in Clover.  Any guide to how to generate one?

typo

Ok, so, I finally booted to the latest version of OC with the latest kexts and AudioGod’s config.  Previous boot loader had been a year-old version of Clover.

Booted up and was taking too long looking at the OC boot options and it defaulted to trying to load up an old Windows boot disk I’d wiped and got the BSOD.

So, fine, I power the machine off and reboot so I can pick the right boot volume in OC this time.

BUT, cycling the power won’t even boot the board to the BIOS screen.  No POST code beeps, nothing.  Just sits there spinning fans with no video.

Am I missing something obvious?

I’d love to try it.  If only I could get the machine to get me to the bios screen.  Right now, I power it on and it just sits there without giving me any video or start up screen.

Wouldn't hurt to try just with removing the battery alone before you go shorting things out 🙂

Battery removal for >2 minutes has always got me back to default bios settings in the past.

This did the trick!

And eSaf, I'm going to give it a go with your EFI folder in a minute.

I was just suprised that it borked the boot like that.  I'm guessing it was the NVRAM that got scrambled.

I'll be a bit more careful this time through!! 😅

Well, using the EFI folder provided by eSaf, the good news is that I can boot off the USB installer and can enter the recovery app on the USB stick.

The problem is I'm not able to see my Catalina install as an option on OC, just a Windows partition and the USB installer.

And, when booting via OC to the USB installer, my USB keyboard and mouse are not working, so I can't do anything there.

I should add that I can still boot to Catalina using Clover.

Any suggestions?

Added info about booting to Catalina successfully via Clover.

The keyboard and mouse are USB, not wireless.

i'll try wiping the NVRAM in OC before booting into the installer.

Thanks for the patience!

Well, the latest is that I've activated 'Reset NVRAM' and the ResetNVRAMEntry.efi driver is there, but OC is erroring out and not showing me the option. :D

I'm derping hard on this one. Current version of my EFI folder attached. :)

Added pic of error code

So, perhaps I should be asking a different question.  If I can't reset the NVRAM with OC for whatever reason, is there another way to reset the NVRAM?

OK, so, eSaf, thank you so much, this one worked beautifully and let me clear my NVRAM!  Amazing! :)

Now I'm at a different derp impasse... :D  When I boot to the USB stick installer, it gets about halfway throught the progress bar, then the video blinks out.  I let it sit for a while (about an hour, just in case), as the HDD access light was still going for a few minutes, but the video never resumed.

I'm beginning to feel condemned to a lifetime of Clover... :D  Any ideas?

I wonder if it is me or a common issue for hackintosh, about universal clipboard, when I copy from my iPhone, the copy is available to be pasted in my hackintosh, but when I copy anything from hackintosh it isn't available in iPhone...

PS: I have an old iPad 4th generation (iOS 10), although it has hands off toggle, I guess the universal clipboard isn't support for such old OS right?

Thanks!

git clone https://github.com/syscl/Fix-usb-sleep

2- Copy and paste:

chmod +x ~/Fix-usb-sleep/fixUSB.sh

Enter

3- Copy and paste:

cd ./Fix-usb-sleep

Or use Onyx Maintenance Rebuild function instead.

Updated to OC 0.8.5 with OCAT

AND

Updated to macOS 13 Ventura flawlessly 🥳

Do me a big favour and upload your EFi folder. I just updated to 13 but for some reason I have lost my Bluetooth.. Its a real pain. From the looks of your profile we pretty much have the same system.

Sure. Don't forget to place your MLB and Serialnumber. I replaced it with "XXX" in the config file
