I reinstalled my hackintosh drive with a fresh OpenCore \ BigSur and used TimeMachine to reinstall all the apps \ files and the system is working fine, then I tested the Windows drive and it's also working as before, but I noticed that on boot it defaults to Mac drive, and that is not really a problem when I'm sitting in front of the pc but when working from remote location that option was great so I'm missing that last booted option. Select the drive that you want to default at the bootpicker then press control and enter and that’s how you set it in OpenCore. It remembers your choice unless you switch to a different OS and sometimes sticks until you press control and enter again. (But not always on the Z390 platform). Again that’s this way it works in OpenCore, you can try asking the devs to do it a different way but I know already what the response will be. Hint, it won’t be what you want to hear or a nice answer 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/163/#findComment-2749376 Share on other sites

I don't know what else to do, could someone help me? By the way, both work perfectly in my 2017 MBAir without any problem. Thanks a lot! richi_music_on
Thanks for the comment @hackinbot I have exactly the same fenvi card connected, everything works perfectly, WIFI, Airdrop, I did some tests by linking phones ... but my problem is with Apple's magic mouse and its respective keyboard (Bought in 2010 and they carry batteries, not battery). In win10 the same thing happens to me with them, they link and unlink when they want ... what's more, I have an extension antenna to weather the storm ... haha. This is ridiculous, but I have no idea what else to do ... jimborae
Anybody tried updating to the latest Catalina Beta 10.15.7 beta. jeffbellamy
So I've been running this setup for over a year. In Big Sur since release. Everything fine until we had a storm last week. Now boot up freezes at Apple Icon with no progress bar. I had a backup bootable OSX but got the same results. So I switched over to my Windows disk (which I hardly ever use) and everything is OK until it asks for my PIN. Keyboard won't enter any letters. Tried two other keyboards. No joy. So I happen to have an unopened Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi in the garage so I rebuild my computer with the new MB. No joy. Somewhere in all this I flashed my MB up to f12K. I realize this is somewhat off topic but any Ideas? (It has occurred to me that since I first did this build I have totally forgotten how I did it in the first place. Oh well.....) pkdesign
Updated to OC 0.6.6 using the fantastic QtOpenCoreConfig and all is working perfectly. juan e. jot
I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this side effect of updating to OC 0.6.6*: No matter what level to which I follow the directions at https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/multiboot/bootstrap.html#updating-bootstrap-in-0-6-6 (including the last bullet point; the first doesn't make sense to me) or read through the red and the blue in Differences.pdf, I can't seem to get the graphical buttons to select OS upon bootup, back. I can leave my config.plist the same as it was in 0.6.5, I can remove BootProtect & Bootstrap from Misc-> Security & put in LauncherOption & Full to Misc-> Boot, I can add back an EFI/OC/Bootstrap folder and copy BOOTx64.efi into it & rename it to Bootstrap.efi. I can clear NVRAM, boot once, and boot again, as instructed. It doesn't matter; no graphical OS selection upon any OC 0.6.6 boot so far. I'm fine with it; the text-based selection is just as functional. I just wonder if I can/should jettison the "Resources" folder, or whether there's a way to bring those icons back. Thoughts, anyone? *(after also having successfully updated to 11.2 under OC 0.6.5) Edited February 3, 2021 by juan e. jot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/163/#findComment-2750052 Share on other sites

I think you mean the new ModernSelector.icns, but maybe I'm missing whatever more holistic you're going to bring it, cuz adding that to EFI>OC>Resources>Image did nothing for me, cleared NVRAM, multiple reboots, removing & putting back the new Bootstrap folder with a copy of BOOTx64.efi renamed to Bootstrap.efi in it, or not. I'll hang on with the text picker for now, to see what you post, not that you should have to. Thank you! What I did with my build was download OcBinaryData, delete the `Resources -> Image` folder from my EFI and copy the one from the downloaded archive. A more detailed update process I did that also includes the Bootstrap changes (0.6.5 -> 0.6.6): 1. Set `config.plist ->Misc -> Security -> AllowNvramReset` to YES / True 2. Note that there is a mistake in the Dortania guide. It's `config.plist ->Misc -> Security -> BootProtect` and not `config.plist ->Misc -> Boot -> BootProtect`. So you need to change `config.plist ->Misc -> Security -> BootProtect` to `None` on you current EFI. 3. Reset the NVRAM (You can do this from the OpenCore boot picker if you have `CleanNvram.efi` inside your `EFI -> OC ->Tools` folder and added / enabled in your `config.plist -> Misc -> Tools`, then press `Space` on the Boot Picker for the option to be displayed. 4. Update your EFI: 4a. Delete the `Bootstrap` folder 4b. Copy the new `BOOTx64.efi` to `EFI -> BOOT` (I always delete the previous one and empty the Bin before I copy the new one) 4c. Copy the new OpenCore.efi` to `EFI -> OC` (I always delete the previous one and empty the Bin before I copy the new one) 4d. Keep note of which drivers you have on `EFI -> Drivers`. Replace them with the ones from the new OpenCore release, keeping in mind that now instead of `HfsPlus.efi` there is `OpenHfsPlus.efi`, so you need to rename this on your `config.plist -> UEFI -> Drivers`. 4e. Check the `Docs -> Differences.pdf` file and add / remove what is stated there. P.S. The only thing I noticed is that the old `OpenCore` boot entry still exists on my UEFI, but I have disabled it on the UEFI BIOS settings and set the new `OpenCore` entry as first (and only <3) choice. jimborae
Don't get me started on built-in in car tech! It's a nightmare. Usually poorly designed, often gets in the way of actual driving, sometimes down right dangerous and also frequently obsolite in a few years. Not to mention unreliable. Cars without complex technology are much better, last longer, cheaper to repair and often a much better pure driving experience. Bangernomics is the way forward my friends! 2 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/163/#findComment-2750099 Share on other sites
