Hello everybody,

I recently updated to OpenCore 0,64 and Big Sur. Everything works well except that when I want to Reboot or Shut down the computer gets stuck at an empty screen with my wall paper. I'm using the EFI from AudioGod with no changes except Serialnumber and so on. Does anybody have the same problem?

The other thing is that premiere pro doesn't work properly and gets stuck sometimes with beach ball but I guess that's more an Big Sur vs Adobe problem.

 best,

Ben

That sound like junk in your system to me.

Clear your nvram, Clear your cache and run first aid on your disk.

How do I clear NVRAM and cache in OpenCore? I only did it in Clover.

Thanks AudioGod. It seams to work. I did a NVRam reset in open core by pressing the space bar and selecting NVRAM Reset and rebuild the caches with Hackintool. Premiere also seams to work normally now. Great :)

So the other week I got totally sick of the crappy range that my native WiFi / Bluetooth card was giving., it wasn’t too bad but it wasn’t great so I went onto good old Amazon and ordered a replacement antenna and oh my word what a difference it makes.

Before range was limited to a few metres and super directional so if I was say on my couch using the hack via my 75inch Samsung QLED sickness I would find my Bluetooth keyboard, mouse, Xbox controller and AirPod pros would be choppy and yucky but now with the replacement antenna setup so you can’t see it but it’s about 2 meters up from the floor I now can not make the Bluetooth signal fail. I can even go into other rooms in my house and everything still works perfectly. Best Bluetooth and WiFi connection I’ve seen in my house ever. I can’t recommend replacing the cheap crappy aerials that they supply with a pcie adaptor or the fenvi range enough, infact I would say it should be replaced as standard. (that’s how big the difference is)

This is the one to get, I’m sure there are others that work just as well but this one is tried tested and working way beyond what I expected.

How can i update from clover to opencore ? I want to use Big Sur. My another question is that  if OpenCore is stable enough to move from clover.

Yes of course it’s stable, I haven’t used clover on my build for a good year now.

Page one of this thread will tell you all you need to know on how to install the EFI.

 Thank you both and i have read the installation guide. I want to migrate my existing clover installed to opencore without loosing data.
so if i just replace my clover efi with opencore will it boot straight in and i can update to opencore?
or if i need to take care of anything

Basically yes that’s it.

Just make sure you copy across your Serial number, UUID and MLB to the OpenCore Config.plist and away you go.

Side Note - If you have RC Scripts installed then remove it (if you don’t know what I mean then you probably don’t)

Other then that though go for it.

If you want to play safe then do it to a USB Install key first so you can test without borking your system.
Good Luck (not that you need it) :thumbsup_anim:

Thank you very much. I cant thank you enough for what you have done.
one last question about your announcement earlier about last update you will give to this thread of EFI. Are you going to give a clover EFI or Opencore for BIG sur?

Anyone know where I can change the resolution of the OC booter?  I confirmed that it is set to MAX but every time I boot big-o size of the disk shows up middle of the screen and it is annoying.  I was wondering if anyone can help where/how I can change the disk size and disk label.

thanks

Make sure the following is set in the bios

Boot -> Windows 8/10 Features -> Win 8/10 WHQL

Then in the Config.plist goto

UEFI -> Output -> Resolution

And set it to your desired Res instead of Max

Even after setting a custom resolution my boot up Logo's are Huge and Fugly As lol...   Ive tried Max, 3440x1440 and as low as 1024... Max sets it to where I have it now, anything else makes it even bigger!,,.. this only happened in the last couple of updates so I'm not sure what's changed?  bios settings confirmed correct also.
