One more request/feedback for our tireless admins.. :)

Since the upgrade, the editor now uses double-spaced lines.  So every time you hit enter, it looks like the next line is a new paragraph.

This is generally not too bad - it saves having to add in blank lines for paragraph breaks.  But for some purposes it makes content look much longer/more spaced out than is desirable.

Two examples:

1) My signature; it only looks like it does now because it was inherited from before the upgrade.  If I try to edit it now, there will be big gaps between every line and it looks really awful - far too long for the content included.

Here's an example of what it looks like if I edit it now:

2) Yesterday I was making a post where I wanted to give some test results.  I wanted to clearly label each test, giving all the parameters of what I tested.  With double-spaced lines, it doesn't look great:

It takes up so much space, far more than is needed for this purpose.

My request:

Either go back to the pre-upgrade editor mode, which always used single-spaced lines (a blank line can be added manually where extra spacing is wanted),  or else configure the editor to allow this to be optional.  Maybe double-space is the default, but the user can select single space if desired.

However I have looked through some BBCode guides and I can't see any BBCode that controls single/double spacing, so I fear it may be something that can only be configured globally by the admin.

Personally I think it would be better to have the default be single-space, as this still allows the user to manually double-space it (with extra blank lines) if they want.  But if the default is double-space, there is no way for the user to use single space instead if they want to.

Thanks!

EDIT: Oups, ricoc90 beat me on this  :P

Ahhh, thank you!  I never knew that existed.

I would still argue it'd be better to have single-spaced the default, like it used to be, as many people won't know about the other method and so posts will tend to be longer than they need to be with always double spaced.  But at least it won't affect me any more :)

Thanks!

Hi

Is it possible to clean quota space for "my attachments" menu?

Or I have to delete it manually in each thread?

@fantomas1

The new default theme is really lovely, but can you people add something more widescreen-oriented? Currently, the forum part occupies a little more than the half screen (at 1080p) and the rest is the blue wallpaper.

Install the Stylish plugin and install this style ;) https://userstyles.org/styles/157117/insanelymac-full-width

@Philip Petev

I see what you're talking about - The current theme's container layout is 95% max-width value. 98% should be enough for a 1920x1080 screen.

But I no longer have full access, so only an administrator could help. In the meantime, you still can use Stylish plugin (safari, firefox...) and tweak it at your convenience.

/** BODY_CONTAINER_LAYOUT **/
@media screen and (min-width:1920px){.ipsLayout_container{max-width:98%;}}

 File uploads still seem to be partially broken. I just tried to upload a zipped 4.5 MB IOReg file, and it failed with error -200 and a upload failed message but it did work fine with a 100 KB zip file and a 1.5 MB zip file but not the 4.5 MB zip file.

This is the problem i've had, but this problem can be well fixed soon!

That one way to go, but what about those that don't use Firefox?

It's available on most browsers. I'm using it on Safari but also available on Opera and Chrome

Silly request but can you add favicons? They’ll make insanelymac look nicer in safari bookmarks!!

And fix code boxes.

Far from being done. But this is kinda what I have in mind for a dark theme. :) As I said, it's faaaar from being ready. There are plenty of things still needing tweaking. I'll let you guys know when I'm close to finish if you wanna take another look.

Until then, here's a little preview.

Thanks for all the improvements so far.
Thanks for Shift + Enter for single line.

Unfortunately I do not like dark themes and InsanelyMac (default) is too small for me.
InsanelyMac Theme is ok for me.

I miss the post numbering
Will the numbering again be in the form "#?" ¿¿¿

New InsanelyMac default theme looks good. Might consider increasing user avatar dimensions to better balance out the lefthand column, but that'd be my only nitpick at a glance.

@pico joe Assumed you already have Stylish + custom theme installed:

.ipsComment_content .ipsType_richText { /* increase comment content font size for easyly to read */
  font-size: 110% !important;
}

[data-role="memberSignature"] .ipsType_richText * { /* flatten signature font prop */
  line-height: 1.3 !important;
  font-size: 100% !important;
  font-family: monospace !important;
  font-weight: normal !important;
}

Yes, but the most avatars look blurry in HiDPI mode. They need to be updated to a higher resolution.
