Hey MaLd0n the system boots but there is no USB (No USB2 and no USB3) functionality with the Clover Folder you attached and sadly I don't have a PS2 Mouse or Keyboard anymore so I can't start ioreq...

EDIT: I changed the USB Patches in Clover  from "change EHC1/2 to EH01/2" to "change EUSB/USBE to EH01/02" and got it to boot here is the new ioreq read out.

With your Clover Folder neither aicpupm nor x86platform works for me... I had it PM working in Sierra but never in High Sierra.

u need a aicpupm, but ur processor dont work native, in forum have all info u need for a good pm in x79

u check?

Hey MaLd0n I got the PM working with both kext files and an ssdt generated with ssdtprgen. Do we need to update something in my clover now or am I good? Sorry I am not understanding the difference between the ssdt and dsdt stuff atm.

- Hi MaLd0n, thanx for the informations about sound.

I never heard about codec commander. i've found a Rehabman's kext on bitbucket, and a Codec-Info.command on applelife.ru

here is my result, but i really don't know what we are talking about ^_^

i have to read some more threads to understand.

- Yep My processor is Sandy Bridge E

  • Code Name : Products formerly Sandy Bridge E
  • Processor Number: i7-3930K
  • # of Cores : 6
  • # of Threads : 12
  • Base Frequency : 3.20Ghz
  • Lithography : 32nm
  • Max Turbo : 3.80Ghz
  • Cache : 12Mb
  • TDP : 130W

I think my system works with X86Platform, but to be honest I do not really know it.

I know however that without this kext inside S / L / E my machine does not run, and since a long time ago

S:L:E:X79X86PlatformPlugin.kext.zip

I have several aicpm_patch in my clover Kernel and Kext Patches / KextToPatch

Happy New Year MaLd0n!

Installed Sierra 10.12.6 on a Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H, and attached are the RunMe, IOReg and origin DSDT files.

It has a 4790K, 32 GB RAM, and an Apple Airport BCM94331CD card in a PCI Adapter (it's showing up fine).

So far, it's looking pretty good.

Could you help me out with a DSDT tweak, please?

Thanks!

Not sure what you mean, here.  I forgot to mention it has an older GTX780 in it.  The DSDT you sent seems to be working okay, so far.

Are those the patches which you already applied, or instructions on which ones I should apply?

Thanks, it's progress!

Okay, that makes sense.   :D

Sleep/wake works okay, but inserted USB-Flashdrives get the 'Improperly Ejected' message (which I can live with).  Also, there is no ability to 'wake on USB-keyboard-keypress', which would be great if it is possible (the computer is tucked away, for noise).

Here is a new (second/updated version) of IOReg.

Thanks!

Sandy Bridge work with AICPUPM, idk about Sandy Bridge E

Need check it ;)

Hi, always good to know it ^_^

I managed to make it work with this this Stinga11 post thanks to him.

But after several attempt with ssdtPRGen script.

i don't remember what i do for getting this work, but when i try again with a different generated SSDT i've got less speedstep and/or cpu hot temps, or the AMI CPU error on boot

now it's running about 35° and 60°max in charge.

i've got similar problems to generate SSDT with this I7 3930K SB-E :

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299575-3930k-power-management-on-x79-ud5/?do=findComment&comment=2043693

If I understand this correctly (and I probably don't) I need to use the Ivy Bridge CPU override with Pike's ssdtPRGen script to get x86PlatformPlugin to load to get my graphics power management, but when I do that I get 12x on the CPU and nothing else.

if this can help =]

thanks

edit: there is a post that I have maybe not read

maybe i will find some informations. thanks Again Stinga11

Sandy Bridge-E & Ivy Bridge-E Power management 10.13

Okay, i've found an other kext in my S/L/E :/

X79PlatformPlugin.kext

i've to investigate the difference between the to plist files right ?

i think it can boot without one of the two kext (X79X86PlatformPlugin.kext and X79PlatformPlugin.kext)

but i have to move now i will try tomorrow.

i've also rename all the patch like the founded post of stinga11

post-622462-0-27403200-1515576521_thumb.png

thanks again.

Hi MaLd0n,

I was hoping you could help me with a DSDT. I was given a HP Pavilion Elite 580t. It is a first generation i7. I put a HD5770 graphics card, a FL1100 USB3 card, and an Apple WiFi card into it. It boots Sierra well but does not sleep. Sleep ends with fans at full speed. The files say MacBook Pro but it is set to iMac 11,2.

You are much appreciated.
