articquad
Okay, now most of us hate the blue/green windows xp Start menu, and their silver/green, and olive choices also suck. Any downloads for other schemes or something to get the nasty colors off my brother's computer? rollcage
well, you could get windowblinds: http://www.stardock.com/products/windowblinds/ that will let you skin xp, you could actually make it look like osx if you wanted. Stadsport
WindowBlinds is terrible. It's a big resource hog, buggy, and almost all of the skins are ugly. Get a Uxtheme patcher, then you can install native Windows XP skins. rollcage
i've used it too, it doesn't hog resources, and i've never had problems with it not working right. and while some of the themes do suck, there are just about as many awsome ones. Metrogirl
I use ASTON on one machine, and I'm considering putting it on other systems. Seems very fast and I've had no problems with it; lots of nice themes and you can set up the desktop just as you want. ProjectTux
I use StyleXP, and it actually works pretty well for me. Minimal interaction with it after you set everything up, seems like it doesn't even exist. Blades144
Grab this: http://home.cogeco.ca/~rklauncher/ and make it look like a mac by auto hiding the taskbar. Drag and drop apps into the launcher. Add Style XP with a MAC theme and you can really freak em out! vbetts
If it's just the basic blue and green, and you don't want to use a custom start menu, I suggest Royale, or Royale Noir.Royale is the start menu for Windows Media center.RoyaleRoyale NoirBoth Royale and Royale Noir come in the Royale Noir package.http://www.istartedsomething.com/20061029/royale-noir/Any shell replacement software like Windows Blinds, use services and take up resources. Wayfarer247
No one mentioned my personal favorite, "Windows Start menu", which is found here. Very useful, and it is much more practical than the menu they give us. Cheers!
