Okay Slice... last question from me for the night, I promise :)

Back to the CPU frequency flag you told me about the other day, I have mine set to 4500 in config.plist, and it shows up as 4.5GHz everywhere in both of my installs, EXCEPT in the Abut This Mac window in Yosemite.  It shows 4.3 GHz:

Here is the way I have it set, just to show you:

<key>CPU</key>
	<dict>
		<key>FrequencyMHz</key>
		<string>4500</string>
	</dict>

You know of any reason why it would show up improperly on here?

Slice, I know that we can compile Clover with ONLY_SATA_0 option to speed up the boot sequence.

But is it possible for you to add an option to config.plist, to allow those who have slow startup of Clover in legacy mode to be able to start faster ?

No, it is not possible because the option works before config.plist reading.

My boot is not very fast

Chameleon is very fast for me, always has been. When I set the timeout to zero it boots pretty much instantly as soon as my BIOS posts.

Would love the same speed from Clover, although it's not a make it or break it kinda deal. I can live with it but would like it to be faster lol

CloverGrower V6.19 Good Afternoon. root, Thanks for using CloverGrower V6.19
sh-3.2#

I dunno... I installed it and rebooted and it seems to have had no effect.  Although, as usual, I'm sure I'm doing it wrong.  Any guidance would be appreciated.

For me also it doesn't work.

I'm using CloverGrowerPro.

In terminal I get this :

running ./ebuild.sh -gcc47 -release --only-sata0 --x64

Then

build  -D ONLY_SATA_0 -p Clover/Clover.dsc -a X64 -b RELEASE -t GCC47 -n 9

The CloverX64.efi is 649 824 bytes long, but after update I still have a booting time ~14s.

Hi,

clover is giving me boot0af: error with these options set at install:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/2dtg1czuhz8osbh/Skjermbilde%202014-06-15%20kl.%2012.41.40.png#

Those setting works just fine on a usb drive but when installed to hdd i get boot0af: error. The error depends on whether I select boot0ss or boot0af. My HDD is formatted as GPT (614 GB).

I had the problem too, it seems that sometimes the BOOT file is not copied at the root of the hard drive.

I've tried everything, but my 10.10 install refuses to boot. I have a quite straightforward config.plist and it always stops on this part. I can't read anything out of it.

Why NATJ smcK failed? You have wrong FakeSMC version

It is because Slice has 5 sec to gui you and others have a uefi board and that is why no one see no problem in clover boot times in lagacy where are more users and some of them still they turn back to chameleon.
